I go by Tm4tj’s reports rather than Dodds’ videos!!
Anything could happen this afternoon. We could get thumped or we could cause a surprise and win.
I just hope we give a good account of ourselves, whatever the outcome.
It sounds like we may have a couple of our absentees returning to the bench, so hopefully that has a positive impact.
To those travelling, have a great day!
Just over 200 tickets sold by the looks of things. Not one of our classic Cup awaydays but we’ll probably make more noise than Livi anyway.

I’m surprised that anybody still listens to Dodds’ ramblings.

It’s hard to disagree with any of that, but here’s the timeline that’s stuck in my brain, and if there’s any of it needing corrected, fairy nuff:
DUFC approach ICT in October
Chairman refuses permission
Yogi takes the huff
Yogi and the board grudgingly coexist for a spell
Yogi comes out of the huff long enough to sign a new (4 year?) contract
Yogi re-enters the huff and parts company at season’s end, apparently on ‘gardening leave’ and full pay until finding a job at Raith, approx 9 months later
The board appoints Richie for 2016-17 (was he actually the fans’ choice and that of the board, or were we that short of cash that we couldn’t advertise the job, due to paying off Yogi, and attract a high calibre of applicant, being an established premier club?)
The rest is, ehh, history. We know Yogi doesn’t stick around, as you say, but all the more reason to move him on (with compensation) while in a position of strength.Further to all that, to those of us who went to Alloa in the LC where we went out to a team 2 levels lower, under Richie, it was obvious that we were in trouble, and that was August 9th. Certain others, notably CB, assured us that this wasn’t in fact the worst result in our history, as we had lost heavily before to the likes of Morton and Airdrie. But these were just blips which occasionally happened, even when we had a good side under Pele.
We were effectively relegated as early as January 31 as anybody who was at the six-pointer in midweek against Hamilton will tell you.-

Think that was when we WON the Scottish Cup, a few years later!
Or even more specifically, the following October when Kenny Cameron refused permission for Yogi to speak to DUFC. This was meant as a show of strength but with hindsight was a disaster.

Maybe he wasn’t there, it was a school night

hope Killie come back down again.
Up to a point, yes, but they had such a Billy big baws attitude last year about their support that we all deserve a couple of years off

That is an extremely fair assessment but we have had little luck this season. We currently would have a free weekend during the next round so game time against a team we caught cold in the League Cup would be no bad thing. In addition being awarded a 3-0 win against Queens would keep our unbeaten run in 2023 intact. All of this would provide significant motivation to play well this Saturday. Owen Coyle has been a manager both here and in England to know selection rules.
Pretty sure it would be the job of the club secretary rather than the manager.
-
Hearing stories about Queens fielding an ineligible player… sounds like we were outclassed though.

The last time Raith Rovers beat us at Stark's Park, it was jumpers for goalposts, three corners a penalty, Donview and Mantis had cranial hair
We heard a rumour that there was a particular beer in the Exchequer that acted as a hair restorer. However, despite extensive research, we were unable to find it.

Are we so bad nobody dare say anything today
Maybe everybody's at the game, there's no signal in Fife anyway
But yes, we were bad and Billy got a soft goal to maintain the 99 year unbeaten record.-

They couldn’t cope with Dan MacKay or Samuels in the other cup, and had to kick seven shades of shyte out of Allardice, but I’d imagine we’ll be up against it this time. Bring it on though (Queens permitting).

There must be a risk, now things are thawing, that the pitch fails the inspection tomorrow but is playable by the time kick off comes 27 hours later.
I hope it goes ahead as a midweek date will be unhelpful given the league games coming up.
Presumably if it is off it will move to Tuesday or Wednesday?
Tuesday 31st, 1945 ko.

I'm told Mantis and Gringo were at that replay. Anyway, nostalgia is great, but let's get back to the future>>>
I missed the first half hour because of some guys playing darts instead of getting their jaikets on and their erses into the charabanc.
This isn’t happening, is it?

I bet you have a loft full of old newspapers
Haha, get with the program, everything I have is digital these days… actually I discovered this by a sheer fluke on an old post on P&B last week and saved it in case it came in handy. This morning I got a notification on my phone that I was at Hamilton v ICT 14 years ago so I raked it out

Had forgotten about this but had it again today when posting the 'shoes off' graphic. Switching to my iPad worked but the desktop Mac was freezing on Safari and FF each time I tried to insert the image.

Never heard of Bill McAllister.
Nicola McAlley is she just a news reader?
I was expecting to see other names as guest speakers to be honest.
Bill McAllister did the Highland League roundup on BBC Radio Scotland back in the day before ICT was formed, and he ran a magazine called “Highland Football and Sport”. He’s also the dad of ex-Caley Mark McAllister (edit- and Caley Thistle in 94-95). He must be getting on a bit but should have a wealth of stories.
