I dont agree....coz they struggled to beat Slovenia. Yes England have big stars in their team....and YES...on paper, they should beat us...but what we have and England dont have is TEAM spirit...and ANY ICT fan should know just how invaluable that can be!

Alex...i did say in my original post that "I hope am wrong" about Rooney....so its not so much being negative for the hell of it...it is an actual fear i have for him. Lots of people on here are expecting a lot from him this season...and thats gonna put pressure on Adam...am merely trying to keep their feet on the ground.

SMEE, will there ever come a time when you can make a comment without being so negative. There is a world of difference between Barrowman and Rooney. For a start the latter doesn't have an ego bigger than his abilities. I would say that " I reckon Hayes will still cause lots of problems at SPL level tho" is pretty positive Alex. And i do believe i was one of the ones who stuck up for Butcher when many were questioning his management skills....again POSITIVE!....so maybe its YOU who just like to pick and chose what parts you see! Bottom line is.......am as entitled as you are to air my opinion OK! If you dont like it...TUFF luck! Funilly enuff....i was talking to an ICT supporter tonight about Rooney...and he also suspects Rooney may well struggle this season.

Not that i think it will happen for either player, but of the two, i think the forthcoming season will see Adam Rooney cursed by the Barrowman syndrome (ie...out of his depth). Time will tell, and i hope am wrong, but i have a gut feeling bout it. I reckon Hayes will still cause lots of problems at SPL level tho, but NEITHER will get a sniff at anything near International Footie IMHO

Being Honest....I was a tad sad to see England go out. I actually like most of their team, and hold NO grudge to the English. HOWEVER, what i do resent is this condescending attitude towards MOST other nations, when it comes to sport, from the English Media (and some fans).....hence why i take pleasure in seeing them fail. Its seeing the pundits and commentators getting egg on their face that is real satisfying.

Despite having 10 times the population of us.....I wouldnt be too sure of that! But at the end of the day....it was England who have gone out and embarrased themselves :D

Make that 2. Don't you think, SMEE, that just maybe, the club informed the paper about this because i doubt very much that people involved with this paper would come on here. So why didnt the club acknowledge that the idea originated from its own support?

It seems my comments about the Club taking the plaudits in the paper has upset at least one person. Well, as i sed to them, i called it as i saw it...it wasnt specifically designed to upset anyone! And its not even as tho this is the thread paying repsect to the guy!

Av brought this point up a few times. Im as sentimental as they come, but i am also a realist. Its like shops in the city centre that blame this that and the other for their closure. The REAL reasons for such happenings, are, the same as what is happening with Clach...ie...no real intrest in the product/service to qualify its existance!

I too have a soft spot for Clach...but cant help but wonder how long before they are in a mess again. I have lost count of how many times i rcan recall them being up poop creek. If it haappens again...i reckon they should fold!

The same way Johnny Foxes and most other popular venues do....first come first served basis! If your not fast...your last!

Yarp...i agree that it is a good move by the club to introduce the Sports Bar...however...i think it sucks to prioitise some sections of the fanbase above others. We should be valued equally
