Hearts: 26 February: virtual tickets
Given that old Reg is a football man, someone should bring this game to his attention and suggest that he buys a ticket. If 18,000 people paid to see him, then he could return the compliment He'd get Robbo's autograph if he could stretch to a £10 one!

I thought I was there in 1970, but on checking the scores it must have been 1972 as well. Alan Ball scored by nutmegging the keeper, and then spent the rest of the match making V-signs at the crowd. Better stop now before the mods book us for being off-topic 😉

Hearts: 26 February: virtual tickets
According to Wikipedia, that's 7753, on 20 January 2008 against Rangers. Though we have had higher attendances at "home" games at Pittodrie and at Tannadice. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inverness_Caledonian_Thistle_F.C.#Attendance However, the club's own website says 7512, against Rangers on 06 August 2005. https://ictfc.com/caledonian-stadium Anyway, go for it! it's a fantastic thing to do.

Arbroath -V- Inverness CT - Preview, Streaming, Matchday
An obvious improvement to our set-up would be to put a second person into the commentary box, to provide contrast, humour, banter, and indeed knowledge of the players. A former player would be ideal, although there are plenty here who could do it. There would be no shortage of volunteers. I was thinking during the second half, with that wind behind us, that if ever there is a time for "route one" football, that was it. When in possession, even if you're still in your own half, just keep lobbing the ball towards the penalty spot, and get down there as fast as possible. Press forward - make it difficult for them to clear their lines. That wind would have caused chaos, and you just need to get a couple of breaks and the match is won.

Inverness CT -V- Alloa Athletic - Preview
Are the League 1 and below teams allowed to train at the moment? If not, they are going to need at least a couple of weeks - maybe more - to be ready to play after permission to restart is given. Could cause a lot of problems in trying to complete the Cup in addition to the leagues.

Would probably have been better to simply say that the the pitch was frozen. Otherwise devious minds like mine start wondering if it was covered properly. Would also be worth taking note of where the "small area" is, to see if it freezes more than the rest of the pitch, and so requires additional protection.

Coronavirus - Season on hold
They are dangerous in that they set a bad example to the rest of us. Well, not us, of course, but to others! The players train together, share a dressing room, and there is very close contact with other players during a game. The additional risk to them by a few huddles in a game - very few, if you don't score much! - is minimal. And I'm afraid that looking for footballers as a whole - there are exceptions - to set a good example to society is a lost cause.

Coronavirus - Season on hold
The thing to do first of all is find out what the mood is. If 7, 8 or 9 say "play on", then play on, if deemed safe to do so. If it's less than that, then invite the clubs to say what they think should happen - eg temporary suspension, or abandon the league completely - and then get everyone "together" to talk and thrash out the details.

Scottish Cup back to the sneck?
If we could have made money out of it, why not?
