  1. Perhaps you should read the first sentence again! (Hint: . . . . each of the other clubs . . . . )
  2. I suspect it's because they know the majority of fans won't be happy about the length of his "notice period".
  3. Simple really. WHEN Gardiner leaves, people will buy season tickets!
  4. I respectfully disagree. The fans asked for a few things, including - Transparency, Accountability, Get rid of Gardiner, Get rid of Big Dunc, Recruit more local players. Of these, only the last has happened so far, although I suspect that was more out of necessity than fan pressure. Still, we've got a wee bit of what we wanted! Edit: Oh aye, we wanted rid of the Kelty nonsense. Got that too!
  5. Yes many of us were wary about his appointment. Turned out much worse than even the most pessimistic of us feared!
  6. Haven't seen anything to convince me we're NOT going into administration, or worse! Just ticking over in the meantime, pre-season friendlies etc., until the time is right for the announcement. I do hope I'm wrong.
  7. Carlisle United manager is bragging to the local paper that he saved in the region of £200,000 by picking up Cameron Harper on a free! Carlisle United signing could have cost us £200k says Simmo | News and Star
  8. Don't think the phrase "made sense" applies anymore!
  9. Sadly a lot of us feel this way. As a supporter since Caley Thistle was formed, this is the first time I've ever doubted my support for the team.
  10. Could also be seen as 100 potential ICT supporters not turning up at The Dump every week because what they really want to see is a team of mostly local lads proudly representing their home town.
  11. I am beginning to suspect the true motivations of those in charge at the club, and consequently whether the club will survive. They appear to have little or no regard for the club, its history, the players nor the supporters. Those in charge seem to have a separate agenda, to the detriment of the club, which will perhaps benefit them and no-one else.
  12. They just don't fkn learn do they? Two Inverness-based goalkeepers released to make way for an English loanee! I'm sorely tempted to transfer my support to an Inverness club now. Clach?
  13. As someone suggested earlier, it does smack of petulance. But I can't help wondering now, would it be to the advantage of certain individuals if the club were to be wound up? Can they just, metaphorically, take the money and run?
  14. What's Jim Calder doing these days?
  15. I don't have an issue with the Trust and I fully approve of what they are trying to do. I would however question the quality and accuracy of the confidential information the Trust has been given by the club.
  16. All part of the reason why supporters are very wary about buying season tickets!
  17. Aye, he's hot property now after his recent managerial successes. EPL clubs lining up to sign him!
  18. I just hope we are not being too willing to snatch onto what seems like good news, understandable after the series of disasters we've just suffered. The story about potential investors isn't new - we've heard this one before. The statement seems to be very cautiously worded, and still we're not clear about whether administration is happening or not. It says a few things but I'm a little concerned about what it doesn't say. Are they playing the Supporters' Trust?? Let's be optimistic. But cautious in our optimism!
  19. Can't see that happening now - I think the ICT name has been permanently stained. Not sure I want to be part of it anymore.
  20. The optimism, the scepticism, the handshake . . .
  21. So what happens now? The Kelty move has been aborted. Gardiner has resigned, supposedly. We wanted rid of Big Dunc too, but we seem to have accepted that he'll stay now. Season tickets aren't available yet - presumably the proposed boycott is off and we can snap them up as soon as they become available. But what about donations to the club via the Supporters' Trust? Are we hoping to build up a stockpile of dosh that will be so irresistible to the club that they will embrace the Trust and work together? Has the Club reached out to the Supporters' Trust yet or do they continue to ignore them? And what can we, the bemused supporters do to help to secure the future of the club? Any suggestions?
  22. Ferguson has been an absolute failure for us and I'm still hoping he leaves of his own accord before the new season starts, freeing up a decent-sized wage. He may well be pondering his options - whether to bleed the club dry for another season, knowing that if he also fails at this level, his future is not in football management, or quit now before he further damages his management reputation and hope there's some other gullible chairman willing to take a punt on him because of his "celebratory" status. In pleading his case he may well use the same story as with his previous club, that his success was hindered by off-field shenanigans!
  23. Which is why it is imperative that a body representing the fans, such as the Supporters' Trust, has influence over major decisions taken by the club.
  24. If we survive this horror show, I really hope the emphasis will be on the recruitment of local players with a bit of passion and loyalty to the "Inverness" brand.
  25. Inverness What a mess!
