    Whinging

By the same token EWS, those who come on and praise the team can come in for some stick ! Oh and sorry to be a pain in the erse but Falkirk was our last win.
  2. Good article. I remember thinking when Charlie took the job that he would be peeing against the wind before too long. The club was progressing at an incredible rate of knots and sadly it wouldn't be able to keep this up. It didn't matter who took the job, there would have to be some kind of levelling off. If a manager in any walk of life is looking for a job, he's ideally loking for a business that he can turn around and make his mark on. I mean what mug will follow Alex Ferguson at Man U. As far as I'm concerned CC is doing well, hey I'm not saying for one minute that I can't see that the team aren't playing particulary well just now. People nowadays don't seem to allow their club to have a lean spell without sacking the boss.
  3. Sack Christie after a few dissapointing results ? I can assure you my head isn't buried ! To sack CC just now, would be an outrage. (in my opinion)

    Hmm

Graham Bayne MUST partner Denzil on Wednesday. He's the one who has invariably scored the goals in the big games this season, Aberdeen at home, and Ibrox and Tynecastle. I don't think we'll have to worry too much about the form book here, we're at home and although Rangers are on form and we're not, the game will, as they say , look after itself. Hopefully a win or a draw will turn our season around
  5. Obviously I can see where you're coming from John, but I really don't fancy Darren up front, I'd leave his striking sorties confinded to Corners. Graham Bayne will hopefully get his confidence back with a goal tomorrow. Also I think we should give Brown another game before any consideration of Fraser replacing him
  6. Okay Bonzo we all know how you feel, but to expect CC to resign tomorrow, even if Inverness win at Dunfermline is ridiculous, if he was inclined to do that, then he'd be as well handing in his resignation now. Granted the team is on a poor run but they're not in dissaray. And attendances don't appear to be down to me. We had 3700 against Killie last week. Last time they came up (feb) it was 3600. 3 weeks ago Motherwell came up and we got 3600, last visit was 3100
  7. Aye, you're right. I was thinking basically the same. A win could see the confidence return and an end to the worries. A defeat would probably send confidence rock bottom, and the scrap would begin.
  8. That was actually my first thought, would be superb. As a fully paid up member of the Tartan Army I can vouch for the fact that there is nothing like it, truly brilliant. I suppose the reason I didn't mention it was that it's almost owned by the T.A. but who says ICT can't have it too. I'm for it !
  9. Not an ICT game, but I remember being at a Rangers game about 30 years ago with my uncle when I was a wee boy and being highly amused to here a Rangers fan shout to one of his own players, " hey Jackson (Colin) come on and show us your magic...................and f<?£!^g disappear !!!
  10. What about a wee Runrig number. Maybe "Hearts Of Olden Glory" or if we're looking for something a wee bit more stirring "Rocket To The Moon" "Killiecrankie" by The Corries would be another that would certainly get me going !

    Attendances

Charles, I see the game you're talking about. Tuesday 23rd January 1996, I.C.T. 1-1 Ross Co. Att. 4931 Superb crowd for a midweek 3rd division league match !

    Attendances

Well remembered Charles. I've got the benefit of SFL handbooks here. The 1st game at the new stadium drew 3734 v Albion R. Then after the Ross Co game (4562) things settled down to around 1500. As the season neared an end and promotion got closer, crowds hovered around the 3000 mark The other 2 games that topped 3500 in 96/97 were :- Ross Co 5525 and Forfar last home game 3649.

    That's Better!!

Well if he's not got a very good attitude, he's no use to us either !
  14. I reckon that lineup could be fruitful. Bayne and Wyness swap positions though. Cheers Alex, to be honest though I'm sure Dargo will start. Personally I'd go with the Bayne and Wyness partnership to freshen things up.
  15. I'll go with :- Brown. Tokely, Dodds,Munro,Hastings Wilson,Duncan,Black,Rankin. Wyness,Bayne. Unless the team were playing particularly well I would use Sutherland and Dargo early in the 2nd half to give us fresh legs
  16. Bayne probably hasn't scored 20 goals over his entire career!! :006: Find some facts before spouting crap man. Bayne has scored 29 in his career so far. 12 of which were with ICT. I was wondering if you know his goals per minutes played ratio. Aye but target-man type centre-forwards invariably don't have great scoring records. Joe Jordan being a prime example,
  17. Specky, you've really got me at a loss here. I personally am for Christie, certainly for the time being. Now if someone is against him, I've got a tendancy to go into debate with he/she, and vice/versa. Very rarely if at all, have I encountered anything other than relativley well mannered banter, I'm really struggling to see where you're problems stem from.
  18. Nah Alex, I'm not for it. I know it's another of those sickening old football cliche's but "never go back" Besides that, at 40 the b u g g e r has got to be running on empty now, or at least very soon.
  19. I'll disagree. I don't think the pro-Christie camp give or take any more abuse than those against C.C. I would also say that I feel the members of this Messageboard are much, much less abusive to each other than practically any other football forums that I've viewed.
  20. Sorry guy's I totally missed this thread. WELL DONE THE 19's
  21. Bonzo, I don't understand this bit. I can't think of anyone on this board who doesn't think that we can be a match for the sides that you mention. The more, shall we say, glass half full types, expect us to stay in the SPL. You're obviously not happy with the way things are going at the club, that's fine, that's your entitled opinion, but you're wrong if you think that guy's like me, feel we can't remain in the top league. I feel ICT have come a **** of a long way in a very short timescale. After getting promotion to the SPL, I always felt if we could establish oursevles in the top league would be the goal for the first few years. Delighted to say , there not letting me down !
  22. No, apparantly he was just a handful of games short of a contract clause that would have given him one !
  23. We used to have to fight b l o o d y battles to gain independance, now all we've got to do is put a friggin' cross in a box. COME ON SCOTLAND, lets do it
