  1. Was channel flicking the other night and I came across ICT reserves v Celtic reserves on Celtic tv. Cuthbert looked useful, incidently our own Stuart Soane looked good too
  2. [quote author=RiG link=topic=3062.msg45035#msg45035 date=117121196 We weren't robbed. We got what we deserved. Nothing. We'll have to agree to disagree here RiG. As I've mentioned earlier, I heard numerous Hearts fans say words to the effect that they'd been very fortunate to get 3 points from the game, and I agree !
  3. CH2 show me the bit where I said we should have won ? You really need to read the posts properly before replying :018: ICT deserved a draw yesterday. I walked along Gorgie Rd after the game and the majority of HEARTS fans were saying the same. You're use of the laughing smiley against some of my remarks doesn't bother me, I'll take it like a man CH2 :016: I'm really not surprised by your thoughts of yesterday's game, but correct me if I'm wrong, you rarely, if ever, give the team praise even after some of the superb results we've achieved this season. Is that fair comment ? BTW did you really think Brellier was excellent :010:
  4. I agree kencar, Blackie was given too hard a time over the Falkirk debacle. I'm a big Black fan and feel we need him in the team. My midfield would be :- Wilson, Black, Duncan and Rankin. I apologise to Roy McBain who's been good in recent weeks but I'd like to see the above given a chance.
  5. That's me just back, how unlucky were we, that was blo ody robbery !! The players fought for their lives, they really did deserve more than that. I don't agree that Charlie got it wrong by playing McAllister instead of McSwegan. Do we honestly think Gary would have lasted the pace ? And besides it's unfair to criticise young Rory, he did alright, was it not him that hit the bar ? I thought Russell Duncan was superb, Johnny Rankin just behind him. Fraser, for me, showed that he's definatly arrived, very confident good kicking and unlucky with the goal, Tokely and Hastings were superb although Richard nearly got punished for his possession loss. Dodds and Munro, especially Munro, solid. Up front Graham Bayne did the target man centre-forward thing brilliantly, all we really lacked was Dargo or Denzil to stick the blo ody thing in the net.
  6. Just dawned on me that C.C. has been in the job for a year now (2 weeks over to be precise) Personally I've always been pro-Christie , I thought he was the right appointment and nothing has happened since to make me change my mind. I've just had a wee look at the soccerbase stats site and even I didn't realise just what a superb record the man has in competitive matches :- Played 50....won20.....drew15.....lost15...... Well done Charlie Christie ! He takes plenty of flak when we go through rough patches (as all teams do) but it goes quieter when things are going well.
  7. When Dargo got injured, the talk was he'd be out for 4-6 weeks, anyone know if he's on course ? Should he be ready for the sellik game ? With me not living in Inverness, I'm not hearing much on this front.
  8. Very true C1C3, McSwegans quality has never been in doubt, but at 36 his stamina and general work ethic were the main concerns, perhaps he isn't going to manage 90 minutes, but he could become extremely vital in the coming weeks. At his peak whilst with Hearts, McSwegan was formidable, one of the truest strikers of the ball I've seen.
  9. Okay we don't have to play and beat Celtic to win the cup BUT imagine how good it'll feel to be in the semi-final and no old firm, or Hearts for that matter, involved. :015:
  10. Believe it's right after the Livvy-Celtic game. if that's a 2 k.o. we're looking at 4ish
  11. I've read you're original post IHE and I honestly think you're being very harsh on CC. IMO Inverness were every bit as likely to win on Sunday as sellik, I really felt at one stage that we were going to do the same as we did in the rangers game at Christmas. Bear in mind this is sellik team is capable of beating Man. Utd (is there a better team in Europe just now ?) I was extremely proud of ICT, yet again, on Sunday. Celtic were, as the O.F. often are, jammy feckers. Inverness were unlucky, nothing else. Had Christie been negative, he wouldn't have replaced the tiring McAllister with Paatelainen, it would have probably been Stuart McCaffery coming on. And one other thing, I'm having trouble concentrating on you're posts with that new avatar you've got !!! :015:
  12. Aye I know what you're saying guys, it was really stupid of Blackie. ICT fans though, were saying that he should never play for the club again. Then frequently after the final whistle blows we OFTEN see players do this invariably in anger, yet they never get booked. No wonder the wee man was raging !
  13. After Blackie took absolute pelters on this board for his silly behaviour at Falkirk, I'm watching Scotsport last night and I see Sir Barry Ferguson boot the ball to the heavens at the final whistle. No booking. Correct me if I'm wrong, 'cause I'm no' a 100% about this but I think John Rankin did the same at the end of the Celtic game on Sunday. No booking. In fact let's face it, it's pretty commonplace. Now I know Blackie get's too many bookings but his yellow card which as we all know, was quickly followed by another, was pretty unfair, a victim of inconsistant refeereing. I know it's easy too say, now the dust has settled, but the wee fella was also the victim of some totally over the top comments from his own fans too
  14. Yep, I thought Rory McAllister had a really good game today. When he came on I'll admit I didn't really fancy the thought of a Bayne/McAllister partnership, as much as I like Bayne, I just didn't feel the two would click. Glad to say I was wrong
  15. I think it's more likely that Tony Bullock will return north as Fraser's deputy
  16. Aye pigeon I did read the article, very interesting too. You've got to assume the fans website he's talking about is this one. You've also got to assume that Craig reads it ! He talks about the "meeting Falkirk" rumour and says "by the end of the night I was being hammered by some contributors to the message board". He goes on to say he hasn't been approached by any club let alone talked to anyone ! Maybe we will still have Dargo next season :003: Oh and if you are reading Craig, well played and get fit soon.
  17. What about Kenny Arthur of Plastic Whistle, was he no' involved in a couple of Scotland squads a wee while back? Must be decent. Surely he'd jump at the chance to get SPL football, obviously he have to displace Fraser though.
  18. Just as a matter of interest, do the folks who keep implying that because Dargo scores more than Bayne therefore he's the best striker, also feel that Saha (12 goals this season) and Solskjaer (9) are better strikers than Rooney (eight) ?
  19. I think there is little or no doubt, Brown will never be Celtic's 1st choice.
  20. Real Radio were talking about it too.
  21. Brown's remark that he's got to move to get international recognition is nonsense, if he moves to Celtic. This move is about money and nothing else. Good luck to him, he's been tremendous for ICT, but I would seriously doubt as to wether he will ever actually get a game for Celtic. A goalkeeper is now a big must for us, Fraser should and will get his chance, but obviously we need more than one
  22. Stevie

    Captaincy

    Yeah I'd go with that.
  23. Good stuff ! Look forward to seeing him.
