  1. Hmm, they seem to have missed his appearence but credited his goal :007: Must just be a mistake 'cause they've only named 4 Dundee subs against Aberdeen's 5. The SFL review has him down as being a used sub and scoring. :021:
  2. Sorry Kencar I've just started a new thread similar to your comments, I didn't see your post :021: Just shows you though, great minds think alike

Great performance from Blackie today, he definately gives us something, midfield attacking wise, that no one else can. I think most fans have seen how important Black is for us today. I hope those who wanted the guy sacked after the Falkirk incident a couple of months ago regret their comments.
  4. Correct. We didn't play a 4-3-3
  5. I do remember him from his Hearts days. A huge talent but very inconsistent and seem to remember he was very easy to knock off the ball. If he could add a bit of muscle he'd be brilliant
  6. Yeah I watched McPake closely in the Livvy-Celtic game on the telly a couple of weeks ago after IHE's "exclusive tip-off", and I thought he looked like a potential replacement for Dods. He was originally a centre-forward, so we'd be getting two players for the price of one !
  7. That's easy....Scottish Cup.
  8. Nope Yep. Just checked my football League review, Bayne scored in Feb23 '00 v. Aberdeen, whilst 20.
  9. I do actually agree with your points Strathman, Rory is young and has done more than the aforementioned 3 in his short career. However I'm sure Bayne would have scored whilst with Dundee as a 20/21 year old and I'm fairly sure that Dargo didn't get a shot of SPL football until he was about 22/23 at Killie.

How true Harry ! IF and I know it's a big IF, we could beat Celtic on Sunday (something the mighty AC Milan didn't manage tonight) it could be an extremely memorable season !
  11. I'll not go against the flow here, I agree with the majority HC's line-up looks good but like one or two others, I can't see CC changing formations for this game. I'd like to see :- Fraser Tokely Dods Munro Hastings Wilson Duncan Black Rankin McSwegan Bayne However I feel Charlie will go with the same starting line-up that started at Motherwell, and I'll no' criticise it in case we win :004:
  12. clicky Go to message board. Then go to teuchters seats, scroll down and enlarge the picture to see all 150
  13. With all due respect EWS I think it's unfair to say we were never going to score. They piled on the pressure in the last 10 minutes or so, and came pretty close on a couple of occasions
  14. I'm glad it wasn't just me who thought this. You can bet that if the bigot brothers were in the same situation they'd get their full allocation :008:
  15. Am I right in thinking that each substitution in a game automatically adds 30 seconds to additional time ? I couldn't believe it yesterday when the assistant held up 2 lousy minutes. At around the 88 minute stage my son had said to me "how much time do you think the ref will add" I'd said "at least 4 minutes, 3 minutes for the 6 subs used and at least 1 minute for injury and time wasting" Needless to say the wee chap wasn't happy the the 2 minute thing, it was one of those "dad you said....." scenarios A case of more inconsistant refeereing or am I wrong ?
  16. Spot on IHE, the system is a farce.
  17. I noticed in the Sunday Mail, that CC said words to the effect that he was raging at the defensive slip up that cost us the goal, the man who was meant to be marking McDonald was posted missing, he says he knows who he is and he's told the culprit. So who was that man? I watched Setanta last night and Dods was absolutely fuming at someone but I couldn't make out who, Dods seemed to be on Craigen and Munro was marking someone else further away. Any ideas ?
  18. No, I think it's just purely the fact that he's doing a good job.
  19. I think you will be in a minority of 1 with a statement like that. How can anyone like long ball football? Its boring, reflects a lack of skill or vision which has no place in the modern game I'd rather we lost every week playing a passing movement game rather than be subjected to such p**s :008: Och I couldn't care less if I'm in a minority of one, who cares. The long ball gets a bad press but what's the first thing a team do when they're desperate for a goal ? And as often as not they'll get it !
  20. Well once again the players can't be faulted for effort, poor first half all around, a momentry loss of concentration saw us lose a poor goal. I don't care what anyone says but the bulk of the second half was Inverness pressurising the Motherwell half, in fact Motherwell were playing on the break such was the fairly constant pressure. Having said that we were struggling big time to actually get a shot of any kind in. The long ball was fairly evident today, a style of play which I must admit I don't mind, especially when we've got a centre-forward like Graham Bayne to play to. Bayne was unquestionably our top man today. Some poor performances today though. After last week when I thought Duncan was excellent, I'm afraid I thought Russeldinho had a shocker, what a difference when Blackie came on. Paatelainen also gave us fresh ideas on the left, he looks like he's gonna be good for us. Young Rory was poor though.

Seem to remember he was involved in an extremely controversial game at Kilmarnock 3 or 4 years ago. Can't remember much about it other than Craig Levein, at the time Hearts manager, got heavily fined for his after match comments and was so incensed by the whole affair that he refused to pay it.

    Cheers for your efforts :021:

That's a good point Strathman. Some folk have been asking for McSwegan or Paatelainen to get a start with Bayne at the expense of Rory. However neither the pair of them have scored in the last 2 reserve games whilst paired together, whereas Rory had scored in 3 of his last 4 reserve outings.
