you can put it that way if you like bishbashbosh but at -12 do you really think that sneaking a one nil would make much difference to it.... like i said i would have much mroe respect if the guys went out and really had a go

sorry but we have no goal difference to ruin..we are on -12...i for one could respect the team alot more if they went out there and grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck and actually had a go...none of this sitting back rubbish. go out there and get at them. thats how you ake points of rangers anyway.. go at them and dont let them build.......oh yeah and NOBODY even think about looking at a rangers player in the box because sure as eggs is eggs they will fall over and we will concede the penalty

Incorrect! It's a penalty because of where the foul took place, not how serious it was. good point well presented...but do you get the point of my confusion...if it is a pen then surely it should at least accompany a yellow

right i have clearly got to much time on my hands at the moment but could someone help me here to be awarded a penalty a foul must have been commited.....correct? (not counting dives) if a foul is deemed serious enough to merit a penalty then a card should be issued....correct? it may just be me over simplifying things as usuall but it seems to me that there is an increasing frequency of refs giving penalties but no bookings that has to be wrong and surely it encourages diving?

lifted from twitter RT @auldyboy 1 inch of snow of the pitch @ #ictfc, club are appealing for people to help clear the pitch.
  18. The precedent is a 10 point deduction..... or nothing at all if you go back further Gretna were deducted 10 points by the SPL and that was the full extent of their punishment in the top league. It was enough to see them relegated and they were then demoted back to SFL3 not by the SPL or SFA but by the SFL when they could not confirm they would fulfil their SFL fixtures the following season. : http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/g/gretna/7426281.stm Livi - in administration for the second time - were demoted to D3 after breaching insolvency rules: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/l/livingston/8179998.stm Dundee got a 25 point penalty - again by the SFL not the SPL - and the reason given was because it wasnt their first time in administration. First time round there was no sanction. If you want to limit it to the SPL, then prior to Gretna, administration had no effect on your points .... Motherwell (SPL) were in administration from Apr 2002- Apr 2004 and had no points deducted Dundee (first time round - Nov 2003 - Aug 2004) were in the SPL and had no points deduction Livingston (first time round - Feb 2004 - May 2005) were in the SPL and had no points deducted If Rangers or Hearts do go into administration, it will be interesting to see what does actually happen .... the SFL seem to be way harder on teams than the SPL and they could argue that 75% of all teams in the SPL who entered administration were never penalised ...... didn't realize they were SPL when it happened to that three. only saving grace i suppose would be that hearts probably look more likely to go further than administration and could well land up in a situation similar to gretna. got a feeling however that the no penalty thing would be a more likely option. makes a mockery of our set up even more but till we have one governing body running all the leagues then that wont change
  19. i was wondering if someone could clear something up for me with rangers and hearts both looking decidedly dodgy financially what is the likely punishment? iirc Gretna were hammered with finishing out the season, a points deduction and being booted back to the 3rd division.... as far as i know they are the only SPL club to enter administration but would the sfl have a say in any punishment? does the gretna ruling present a precedent for what is considered a base line? would the Dundee/Livingston cases have any bearing on a decision by the spl on a punishment?

at least he wont feature against us makes me laugh though when you read his commetn that im not one who NORMALLY dives.... would suggest that this may not have been the norm perhaps??
  22. wgaf?????
  23. now that his appeal has been and gone ( My link ) it got me to thinking... would you take him with you to the finals i would have to go with NO. yes he is talented and on his day he is a match winner but why should he get to go when he has proven he cant be trusted with his temper. the opposition will be out to wind him up and with his appeal giving the 3rd match a 4 year suspended sentence he could quite easily be on the pitch for a matter of minutes before getting a further 2 game ban talented ....yes worth the risk......no

and they are gone....... interesting with the Man U goal that the REF appeared to over rule the touchline official
  25. 10 mins to go and it looks like both Manchester teams are heading out cant say im all that upset to be honest... yes its a shame that there will be 2 less UK teams in the next round but in my eyes it couldn't happen to a nicer bunch
