  1. Oh the irony you are accusing me of being a county supporter yet you are the tattoo ridden, tricolour flying rebel singing plastic paddy who frequented the jungle more than the howden end but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong I admit I do admire County and what they have achieved so far I think I'm probably even jealous but accusing me to be in the same mould as Bannerman is way below the belt ICT have stagnated, a top six should have been achieved by now, Terry and Mo have taken us as far as they can, we need fresh ideas and the club taken to the next level I take CaleyD's point regarding the merger/murder and I won't bring it up again unless provoked but IMO it's up there with the darkest hours in Snecks history along with the massacre at culloden or when the hebriddean bar closed it's doors One parting shot the Ender knows it and I know it the vast majority of howdenenders never embraced the new club from day one and even till this day they and their families/friends take nothing to do with ICT Edit : well said Buckett dougal out of interest dougal.... what would you suggest as fresh ideas? you say top six should have been achieved by now but what then... had we made top six the year we should have ( more points than 5th but seperated by the split) where would you like to have seen us go?
  2. heart says - yeah 3 points blind faith style Head says - possible but only if all our cogs are in place and the proverbial holes line up third part says - i want us to lose as i have gone for a 2-1 loss in gringos prediction league and i need to creep back up the league a bit
  3. also notice a £40 owing to eagle consulting in inverness. no other links to inverness i can see anywhere but some interesting ones like 500+ quid to the newsagents in ibrox
  4. interesting just wonder if it is possible that we could go from never having lost to hibs in inverness to not beating them at all this season?
  5. well John Macdonald used to be my dads boss so we grew up watching the reesults on a saturday pre and post merger to see if he would be in a good mood. that used to be as far as it went as no one really had a huge interest in my family outside that then in the year we got promoted i met one of the ladies team on a night out and she took me along on the saturday just before the end of the season (0-0 draw with falkirk) and i got hooked. then got a ticket for the promotion game. had one to two seasons of just attending games then moved to a season ticket... from there i have been trying to forge closer links with the club doing what i can when i can. hoping to keep the links going and get back to a season ticket this year now that im moving back to working monday to friday YAY
  6. hope you enjoy the night. and just a wee pointer its ICT not ITC.
  7. nice idea but one or two problems 1. minibus 12 seats ish. 2-3 adults so 9 kids. that could mean a lot of running around 2. fuel costs are extortionate at the moment so would hit the clubs pocket even with 2-3 pounds per head 3 liability insurance would no doubt be hefty on the mini bus too
  8. interesting "hypothetical" theory..... firstly it would depend on how long the locals had been at the club... if they were long time veterans then i would cut them a little more slack and reduce the number of there appearances but to work with that i would use the players based further away to do more media engagement stuff at away games thus meaning that the guys who had come down the road wouldn't have to be stressed with added media after the long trip. should the players make too much noise on this it would be reminded to them that there are plenty of people out there just waiting to step into there boots it would also be prudent to have the odd occasion where by the local players do get some sort of perk to reward them for there loyalty and effort that may not necessarily be given to players based further away. or along a similar line the club would hold a families event where the distant players would be invited to bring there families up for a weeks holiday and run some events round the club to give them a taste of the family atmosphere and friendly nature of the club

not sure what your complaint is dougal i read that as a fairly reasonable article to a foreign paper about how he is geting on over here. to him it probably does seem that most of the locals support the old firm and if thats what his impression of things is then we should be using it as a springboard to recruit a new age of fans

he has gone....face it munro aint coming back. grow up, stop bleating and try supporting the team and not just slating it jeeees fans these days
  13. knew i should have picked rankin for first scorer :(
  14. All very well TUG but they can't wait til the window to get the high earners off the books so some will be getting redundo notices very shortly. thats very true but if man u turned and said we will give you 9 million to cancel mcgregors contract..would they say no?? i dont think so. not sure if it would work but i dare say if it came to it they would try
  15. I have to say that judging by the photo on the OP, Tabitha doesn't really look 75 at all and i thought the press got in thanks to the work thing and not by flattery.....lol (i would guess 21 at most ha haha )
  16. Cracking deal. just a pain in the arse that im working. plus good to see that it should keep everybody happy and not leave you being accused of ignoring/favoring a certain section of the fans. yay you guys for yet another good idea in bringing in the fans. hope it works...
  17. WTF is it with people on here lately... "real fans?" surely if they were real fans they would have bothered to find out prior to the game that there would be no tickets on sale at the gate. but no these are the same fans that will moan if they were on sale that the home end is full of old firm fans. i am getting really fed up of people on here whining and moaning about the club.... there is a hint in what we are supposed to do..its called support..that means we back the club up. through thick and thin. maybe the "part time fans" are to blame for everything as the "real" fans aren't getting in to support the team or maybe its about time that certain people on this forum grew up and got behind the team instead of belittling everything the club does to try to bring people through the gates... i for one think the club work blinking hard to put on offers and entertainment to put cash in the coffers to fund the team but then maybe im wrong. maybe the club should do what i want as i am the most important person.or hang on a minute.. maybe the club is trying to look after the club so that we still have a team to watch. if it was as easy as people on here make out then we would all be chapping at the door of premier league teams saying gimme the managers job im great and whats more ill make you a few hundred million while im at it... get a grip folks and get behind the team rant over

are you feeling alright...i think that is the most straight forward and to the point answer i have ever seen you give lol
  19. I will also be surprised if we don't have many broken seats in the away end. Expect more of this next week. http://www.heraldsco...orance.16793838 is this not a fineable offence? where would that stand on the administrators scheme of things? out of interest is it 2013/14 season where uefas financial fairplay rule thing kicks in? or 2012/13 ?
  20. Tug replied to BornCaley's topic in Caley Thistle
i like your idea dougal...caley strip for home and thistle strip for away.... not sure i agree with the merger thing though, if people are hung up about it still then TS move on and get a grip. the club shouldnt be pandering to these non fans anyway...they should either be behind the club and support it fully or not at all
  21. not sure im entirley behind that idea to be honest..... anything that could be used to fire up there players is a bad idea in my books and to be honest if i was ally mccoist i would have them sitting in the dressing room and tell them to listen... someone out there is taking the mick out of you you need tto go out there and stand up and be counted...show them that this team is not dead etc etc etc. it has happened time and time again that players open there mouths about an opposing team and it backfires massively
  22. you beat me to it alex.... been discussing things at work on this matter with a jambo and have come to the following conclusions the top end types like your mcgregors etc will be put on the market to raise funds. the first time also rans on high wages will be punted on at cut price to get them of the wage bill the fringe first teamers may become the backbone the better youth not in the first team set up will step up to form part of the main playing squad the youth that would likely have fallen at the wayside anyway will be let go to free up wages again we arent going to get any of the established names coming to us and frankly i wouldnt want them...... rangers have got themselves into this mess but we are all going to pay the price
  23. lifted from the bbc but essentially boils down to the last paragraphs http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17063322 kenny cameron been given assurances by the spl and the administrators more importantly to assure them that the money from the game will be paid within the agreed timescales
  24. Tug replied to Scotty's topic in Caley Thistle
    very sad. Rest in Peace
  25. it wouldnt surprise me if they did owe us money when the list comes out it will probably contain a lot of things people will be massively surprised by.... to be honest though i find the whole affair quite sad. its saying something that this countrys league has allowed one of its two biggest clubs to get into this state. i am largely in agreement with caley d on this matter. something needs to be done and i fear it will involve some years of hurt before coming out the other side. sadly i dont think clubs like rangers and celtic are going to come out of this smelling of roses. the smaller clubs in the end will shine through this and i can see a less attractive league with respect to tv rights not far off on the horizon but there will be a desire from the fans to watch football that will support it
