Smiley Meter Thing
Thought I'd do my own smiley-o-meter rather than comment on others': Fraser :thumb04: :018: Didn't have an awful lot to do, but what he did he mostly did well. A couple of nervous moments, once flapping at a cross, and another racing off his line but was beaten to it. However, a clean sheet at Pittodrie is a good achievement for Ikey ;) Tokely :015: :D :021: Good cross for Andy's goal, and a good moment in the second half, where he made a fool of an Aberdeen player with a clever flick past him. Beaten on the wing too easily once or twice, but a good performance overall :022: McGuire :D :D :D I thought he was decent enough. In Grantie's shadow a wee bit but dealt with most of what was thrown his way. I agree a couple of dodgy momenths though. Munro :D :D :D :D :D Brilliant performance. A couple of very good headers, and I remember an incredible goal-saving tackle in the second half. Let nothing get past him, Captain's performance :022: Hastings :D :D :D Solid enough performance from Hastings, I remember a good crunching tackle in the second half. There was a couple of moments in the second half however, when he wasted possession by just hoofing it rather than looking for a pass. Black :D :D :D :D :D Another fantastic performer. Skills on the ball, passing, tackling, everything spot on Blacky. Kept his temperament under control too. Top performance :P Duncan :D :D :D :D Very good, passionate performance from Russeldinho. Loved the slide-on-knees celebration for Andy's goal, and two or three stunning tackles. Broke up the play well, and seemed to get better as the game went on. Cowie :D :D :D :D Worked hard, didn't do anything wrong, but not one of his best displays. McBain :D :D :D :D Was annonymous for parts of the first half, but a good second half display. Unbelievable run for his goal, intelligent play and a great finish. Overall, a good display from Roy. Imrie :D :D :003: :003: Very good performance from Dougie and great to see him applauding the fans at the end of both halfs. Some great runs, very good part in the second goal. Barrowman :003: :003: :003: :003: Surprised and impressed with Andy. Good finish, and he never stopped running. Held the ball up well, stayed cool under pressure, and looked every bit the SPL player. Well done Andy :022:

Aberdeen (a)
BBC reports today on players in the squad for tomorrow : Fraser, Esson, Tokely, Zadi, Hastings, Kerr, McBain, Wilson, Black, Imrie, Duncan, Cowie, Sutherland, Vigurs, Barrowman, McAllister, Wood. For some reason "Hart" is also included :thumb04: So, possible Starting XIs? From that squad, its would have to be: Fraser Tokely - Zadi - Hastings - McBain Cowie - Duncan - Black - Imrie Barrowman - McAllister Subs - Esson, Kerr, Vigurs, Wilson, Sutherland, Wood, ???? (hart??) Looking at that, you've got to worry at our chances of staying up Two very inconsistent left backs as the centre back pairing, and a left/central midfielder playing left back. Then a striker who was failed as of yet to prove he is anywhere near SPL quality, up front with a player who failed to prove himself at First Division level two years ago. Unless Brew makes some astute signings before September, I'm very very worried :018: Thoughts?

Barry Wilsons Testimonial (merged topics)
Wicked ;) Plessis & Insua have played a few first team matches at LFC, and I know its a cliche, but Jay Spearing & Krisztian Nemeth, remember the names. Especially Nemeth. :thumb04: :018:

F***ing Referees
You have to buy new ones This is a disgrace though, as people like me and ICT90 who aren't made of money have already paid for train tickets. The refs are usually s***e, and now their governing body is also s***e. Brilliant. :thumb04:

Section G Roll Call For Sat
Proctor you got your train tickets sorted? As Rowdy says, I bought four tickets on the friends fare, but one of the lads has pulled out. You're welcome to his ticket for ?7.75 (Friends fare = ?31, so ?7.75 each) Let me know if you're interested :018: Thats if this bloody referee strike doesn't delay the start of the season :thumb04:

F***ing Referees
BBC REPORT The row over referee's fees is threatening to delay the start of the SPL season apparently.

Steve, on May 18th you posted on this site, saying categorically that Marius had informed you he would definetly not be moving to Dinamo, yet he has. Marius clearly - deliberately or not - mislead you on that. Is it possible he's doing the same on anything now? Or was that just a case of changing circumstances?
-
Captaincy
I agree. I interpreted that to mean "If another player comes in and takes the armband, I'll back them". Not neccessarily a new signing.

:o :o :o IHE for some reason it seems to be in your interest to portray Marius in the worst light possible. Obviously it is in Steve's interest to portray him in the best light possible. Then there's the rest of us stuck in the middle who haven't a fecking clue Alex got it spot on. Someone is lying. I'm just surprised and saddened that a player who I at least had a good relationship with, has left the club under such acrimonious circumstances. I'd be delighted if ICT & Marius could come to a compromise, and settle this out of court, and without Fifa's involvement, although having read everything I have, I seriously doubt it. I just hope ICT come out of this not looking like absolute idiots, and Marius bears no ill feeling towards the fans, as we, and certainly I, made every effort to make him feel welcome here. Just by the way, who is Marius' agent, and how did he feel about Marius negotiating with Dinamo on his own? Would Marius' agent still get his fee?

bye Anyone know who ITCFC are? :tic01: :clapping03: :clapping03: :003:
-
Niculae
Yes because a teenage girl is going to know more about the transfer than the official website of one of the clubs involved :tic01: :029:

Is anyone else a bit surprised & confused that there's still nothing on the ICT website about this?

Despite his total lack of tactical knowledge, Brew usually does alright in the transfer market.

Stevie Crawford
BBC reports today Crawford has turned us down to join East Fife :017: Whether or not you wanted to sign him, you've got to be worried that he preferred East Fife than ICT :029:
-
Niculae
We'll agree to totally disagree then? And Mantis, he claimed on his website to have turned down more lucrative offers last summer.
-
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Bday to him :004: :003:

Niculae
Well IHE, you haven't posted for a while... and let me just say I've not missed your Marius-bashing one bit. He turned down more lucrative offers to come here. He has said to the press he is happy to stay here, hardly the thing you would say if you were chasing a transfer. He was our top scorer last season, one of the highest on the list of assists also, and earned us ?3000 a day at the Euros, imo certainly not a waste of money. The fact that you are calling our top scorer from last season, and the only ICT player ever to appear at the Euros crap, suggests you know "feck" all about football. Maybe its that you have been watching football for a lot longer than me. But imo signing Marius was a great decision. Marius covered more ground than anyone on the pitch against Holland this summer, hardly sounds like a "lazy, greedy *******". The club are using Marius, not the other way around. Not only is he putting up with this, he's getting slagged off on here. :33: :33: Regardless of where he is next season, Marius is a legend.

Tony Fraser Memorial Trophy
Totally agree. 8-0 win will do nicely :004: Yeah yeah, alright :004:

Those pesky neighbours!
Erm.... yeah :029: :029: Maybe Proctor will be dropped for McGuire, but McGuire isnt any better :029: Possibly Hastings in for Zadi? But pretty much yes that was our best defence :029: :029:
