If, like us, you can't make the game tomorrow and have to make do with the tele, then a few of us are planning the Caley Club, both bars should be open. So if you fancy joining us for a couple of beers we'll be there from 2ish.

Nothing to do with me. :015: Not sure what's hapening, but it's really quite hard to arrange with only a few weeks notice and these things are generally not well supported. I'm sure the Supporter's Club committee are on the case and we'll hear soon what's happening. I suppose it all depends on what the fixtures through up once they are confirmed.

That would do IHE. I've never been to a game at Dunfermline yet and a home game on the last day is just screaming out for a party. Don't think there'll be an official one, but has that ever stopped us before. :015: The only bit that worries me is IHE's comment which begins 'I am reliably informed' :015:

Think the marchers would be reasonably happy with that. :021: True Nutters. :015:
  5. I agree with Caley D. There is little question of whether CC should be allowed to continue, but does he want to. As I said in the other thread, have a look at today's P&J article and see what you can read between the lines. CC has repeatedly asked for a better scouting system and more money to retain the out of contract players and also to attract a better standard of player to ICT. I think CC is trying to get us back to playing football the SP way, which we all agreed is entertaining and a joy to watch. Some weeks I can see this and others not quite so. This week Yogi has said that it might be time to stop playing pretty football and just play route 1 stuff like everyone else. Not what he wants to do, but results are more important at the end of the day. Wait for the article online and see what you think.
  6. :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: Let's wait for the P&J to update today and see if today's article fills you with any more confindence in the situation. I would say it's quite clear that CC is unhappy and wants to see changes. A meeting today between Charlie and our director of football is going to clear the air and an announcement made to the press to hopefully calm the situation.
  7. I actually wouldn't be surprised if he does step down, but this story is about a threat made during the post match rant on Saturday. This was in the dressing room and was supposed to stay there. The club will make no statement on the matter at the moment. He has threatened to step down with a warning to the players that a new manager will not tolerate such performances. I have had a number of conversations recently about this and the feeling has quite widely been that Charlie is doing okay on the park, but that he is struggling a bit with the pressure. There is no reason why he doesn't step down and remain involved in the coaching as he was before with a new manager at the helm to be the public figure and take some of the pressure. Charlie is well used to speaking to the press, but this is quite different. I guess we don't help much either with threads like 'It's all Charlies fault'. We have secured another season in the SPL which is the main objective. I hope he takes some time to consider his options very carefully before making a decision. While he has done well on a footballing front, I always wondered if he was ready for the managers job. I knew he would be a future manager, but I think it was just a little early for him. He might have been better to go to a lower league team and then come back in a couple of years with a bit more experience. Anyway I do hope it works out for him whatever he decides. Nobody can question his passion for the club.

I think if you work out the deal you get on a childs season ticket on a price per game, you have little to complain about. A child paying at the gate will only see a few games a season for the price of a season ticket. The child season tickets are heavily subsidised. If it was adults I would see your point, but give the club a bit of credit for trying something a bit different. Do you sit in the family section, if so you'll be very aware of what a good deal you get as opposed to the normal £15 pay at the gate child/concession prices.

As it is no longer possible for us to get a top six finish, the fixtures will be announced tomorrow. At least the marchers will be able to start some proper planning.
  10. If only there was a half chance of them meeting face value, we would have doubled our fund raising for the night. :015: :015: :015: :015:
  11. Male totty much appreciated. :015: :015: Thank you to everyone who supported the night, don't have a final total but we had a wee night out and raised something around about £400. I have a lot of thank yous to do, but for now it's feet up and a well deserved glass of wine.
  12. Thank you to those who have chosen to send their bids by PM. I will take these into consideration and let you know later tonight if you have been successful. Your support is much appreciated.
  13. I was wondering when someone would remember about poor Dargs. He scored in the first few minutes at the reserve game, so let's hope he does the same tomorrow. Suggestion on the radio that McSwegan might start. :017:
  14. So are you joining us Charles, either for pampering or tampering? :015: :015:
  15. Oh C_H2- You are such a pleasure to have on board, a great help to the working of the trust. You are the first to complain we do nothing and then you have absolutely nothing positive to say when we try something a little different. I don't think you'll find that these tickets have a face value as you can't buy them on a game to game basis. They have been kindly donated by AJG parcels to support our evening, but I thought that it would be a good opportunity to offer these to some fans (like yourself) who aren't coming along tonight. Guess you'll not be bidding then? :006: We'll have a good night and I'm sure the winner of the auction will have a great day. Thanks for all your support. :021: :021: :021: :023:
  16. Buffy PM me your number and I'll give you a call later. There are 2 travel lodges, both a short taxi ride away, so just ask for a taxi to Macrae & **** Land Rover and we'll look after you from there.
  17. Okay folks - so far so good, quite a few tickets sold, so it should be a good night. Just to let you know that you can pay at the door, although it is helpful if we have an idea how many will turn up, as I would hate to run out of wine. :015: :015: For those of you who aren't going to make it along for one reason or another, I'm going to give you the opportunity to bid on a couple of auction items as follows: 2 SEATS IN A BOX FOR THE DUNFERMLINE GAME, COURTESY OF AJG PARCELS, THIS INCLUDES THE BEST SEATS AROUND (WARM AND DRY) WITH PRE AND POST MATCH BAR AND HALF TIME FAYRE You will need to be at the Stadium on Saturday by 2pm. You can leave your bids here and we'll take them into consideration during the auction at our little get together. ALSO FOR AUCTION - A SIGNED FOOTBALL Same as above, leave your bids and we'll let you know if you are successful as soon as possible tomorrow night. Thank you

Caley Club run buses and will welcome you pre match. Bus to the game and back for £2 a head I think.

    :015: :015: :015: Can I suggest you ignore advice from IHE :015: :015:
  20. Same again today please. :004: McSwegan is starting up front today and Marcus is getting a start, replacing Rory and Rankin respectively
  21. Teachers of today. :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015:
  22. See the sticky thread above. :015:
  23. A draw will do for me :003:
  24. Juanjo was here for Ross's testimonial match a few months ago and he had just signed the deal then. He was off back to Spain the next day to start training. There was a link on here at the time. I think he'll just be happy to be playing football.
  25. Why did you not stand for election to the board, where you would have had first hand input to discussions and decisions such as these. I can assure you that the board did have a lengthy discussion regarding this piece of equipment and the decision to assist the club was relevant to the projected profit from the night. The boxing night was a huge success and will be repeated later in the year. Absolutely no reason why you couldn't be more involved if you want to. Make sure you put your name forward this year. I chose not to stand for election in the first year of the trust, but I felt I could contribute something so I decided to come on board for this year. We have a few different events happening and a newsletter will be coming out to all members in the near future. Any questions arising will be welcome. As Maimie said the Ball boy/girl kit is ongoing and will happen. Any other suggestions welcome.
