  1. County will beat caley, I would get rid of half the squad and bring in good 1st division players, not failures in England or abroad. I would personally get rid of your negativity. County will not beat us and the players are not failures. If i was you I would take this negative post and post it on the County forum where it would become a positive post. And while you are there buy yourself a county half season ticket!
  2. We will definitely beat County - our season depends on it! The players have now played long enough in the SFL and they now know what is required of them. I believe they are now ready to step up to the mark and take the SFL by storm. I don't think we have fully clicked yet but we are not far off and the County game will be the catalyst. Cometh the hour, Cometh the Caley Jags.
  3. Mr Butcher and Mr Malpas for what it is worth I BELIEVE we can still win the league with the current squad (maybe we could do with a few loan signings though). Dundee IMO are not any better than us and infact overall I think we deserved to have taken a lot more from the games we played against them. Dundee have an interesting month coming up: Sun Jan 17 Dunfermline Athletic H Sat Jan 23 Queen of the South A Sat Jan 30 Ross County H All these teams are capable of taking points of Dundee and I am certain they will. After we beat County on Saturday I am positive we will get a full nine points from the next 3 games. Sat Jan 2 Ross County H Sat Jan 16 Morton A Sat Jan 23 Airdrie United A Sat Jan 30 Partick Thistle H I predict that come the end of January we will be 6 points behind Dundee and building up momentum to mount a serious challenge. When we are at our best we are the best team in this league we just require a little consistency. C'MON THE CALEY (THISTLE)
  4. How whats happening with the contacts tomorrow?
  5. Who told you we are running the team on SPL wages Alex? In every contract there is a clause to reduce terms if a team is relegated so those who had contracts extending into this season would have been caught. The new players, including Foran signed at the begining of this season certainly won't be on Prem contracts. Bennett is not that daft. :P mmmmm I wouldnt be so sure.
  6. I still do not know what Bob Harris has to do with ICTFC. Is IHE on the windup? He could be the next Chairman of ICT. Especially as the Publishing Group are looking for new premises in Sneck. Will David Sutherland still be the major shareholder or is he planning to sell his shares!!??!!!!

  8. Are you shure Alex - has TB ever written a book ? Bob Harris co-wrote Butchers autobiography. Who were the publishers ? And what is Bob Harris doing now ? Orion publishing - got that bit but haven't a clue what he is doing now - please enlighten me. Terry Butcher wrote his own autobiography and it was published by Highdown Press. Bob Harris the whisperer still works for BBC radio as a DJ Bob Harris the footballer plays for QoS Bob Harris the sports writer is one of the UK's best-known and most widely travelled sports writers and broadcasters. In recent years he has become a prolific author, as well as producing high-profile publications for the Football Association, the British Olympic Association and British Athletics Federation, he has co-authored books with Sir Garfield Sobers, Sir Viv Richards, Bruce Grobbelaar, Steve Coppell, Graeme Souness, Kevin Keegan, Graham Kelly, Stuart Pearce and three previous books with Sir Bobby Robson. This Bob Harris is not credited with co-writing Butchers book but his work has been published by Orion Publishing. Terry Buthcher with Bob Harris.

  10. What is also encouraging is we have two very promising squads at U13 and U14 level. Indeed the U13's with only a third of the season gone are the most successful U13 squad in the history of ICT youth development.
  11. Are you shure Alex - has TB ever written a book ? Bob Harris co-wrote Butchers autobiography.
  12. ......but Bob Harris is connected with Orion publishing. However what has Bob Harris got to do with all this????
  13. After we got relegated the U19 squad was disbanded for financial reasons. So we do not have u19's squad per se. Obviously we have those that are in the first team sqaud and then we have a u17 squad made up of 15 and 16 year olds.
  14. Looking on the optimistic side of things I personally don't think the team is that far away from been a good team. What we need though is 2or3(maybe 4) battle hardened ex SPL pro's the new and inexperienced can learn from. However until then I think we are going to struggle.
  15. What about Pikie - is that allowed
  16. Well one thing is for sure i cant see TB putting Allison out on loan since we have not got another keeper for cover I hear they are thinking about the young under 13 keeper for cover if Allison goes out on loan!!!!!
  17. Using a ZX Spectrum will do that to you... :028: I don't think they are that advance in the land where the hills have eyes - surely you meant a Sinclair ZX81.
  18. A "CALEY" fan. I was a Caley fan back then and still consider myself a Caley fan today so therefore despite the transition from IC to ICT I am and will always be a Caley fan. But if you wish to be pedantic I was a Caley fan from the age of 6 until the merger and post merger(takeover) I continued to be a Caley fan following ICT .
  19. Thats taking it a bit to far. Yes I agree that their is no need to be giving abuse to Kyle Alison. He is a Caley player and a promising one at that and should be given all the support he needs But I dont agree with what you say. When we sing songs that are offensive to other teams eg County or other players that are not a part of our team is just a bit of banter. It comes with football. The players should be expecting it and if they are not they really are stupid. Opposing players will always get abuse and I dont think there is anything wrong with that. Unless obviously it is racist chanting I dont agree with giving the abuse to our own players that is not on And people still can take their kids to their games. I was sitting behind a dad who took his little girl to the game must of been 4 or 5 years old and they were 1 row in front of all the people that were singing and there was a lot of abuse going about but it looked like they were having a great time and were not going to be put off by the swearing as lets be honest they are going to learn the words at some point I think that person might be me. I was also there with my 10yr old son. And yes we had a great time - my son and daughter join in all the songs missing out the expletives of course. Admittedly I did not join in the Allison abuse nor did I make judgement. I have been a Caley fan since the age of 6 and I remember many a season where at least one member of our squad has singled out for abuse, rightly or wrongly. I understand Allison is young and may make mistakes off the park but he must also learn to conduct himself in an appropriate manner. I personally think that if he is guilty of what is said then he would be foolish to think that nothing would come of it. For some the choice of words may have been too strong but I am sure they would have heard worse during their time. For me I particulary would not condone abusing one of our own players for their performance on the field and certainly would not join in any abuse that did not concern me. However players are always in the spotlight and when they step out of line or act irresponsibly - invariably there will be consequences. My children and I will be at most SFL grounds this season and certainly will not be put off by any chants or shouting. I know what to expect and my children know not to swear and understand what is acceptable behaviour .I can assure you they will hear and witness worse in the playground.
  20. Okay some of what is said is true - but can we make judgement after 1 competitive game. As far as I can see no 1st Division team did particularly well over the weekend. One thing for certain Barrowman is definitely not a striker!!!!!!
  21. Perhaps today against lower league opposition but I bet that if he is played regulary this season he will give away more goals than anyone else in the team Zadi is definitely not our worst defender (or player). Sometimes the criticism of him is unfair. The only criticism I would have today was his reluctance to run at Montrose. However his recovery from mistakes is excellent aided by his pace. Barrowman was in my eyes officially the worst Caley player on the pitch - couldn't read a book let alone a pass , and couldn't hit a barn door with the ball in a million years. Send him over the bridge - and no not the Kesssock Bridge but the Black Bridge!!!
  22. I read somewhere he earned in excess of 2k a week. Way over the odds. He's a 2nd Division Player until proven otherwise. Slash his wages to ?200pw with a lucrative goalscoring bonus.
  23. Your right every player in the team will make mistakes however like Lionel some are more heavily criticised than others by the fans. Lionel has been a revelation and has been a joy to watch. Yes he made a mistake today however he was put in a position where he had to make an instant decision albeit the wrong decision. If the centre halfs and the goalkeeper had done their jobs then Lionel wouldn't have been put in that position. I agree it is verging on pathetic critising him despite his excellent displays. I sincerely hopes he realises his full potential and may be talked about in years to come in legendary terms.
  24. It certainly does bode well for the future as Caley were all over Celtic from start to finish - only tiring in the second period of extra time. A thoroughly deserved victory - well done lads!!
  25. ........with a few more displays like the one witnessed today legendary status will beckon. Great heading, runs and timing, dribbling, trickery and the odd heart in the mouth moment - very tokleyesque!!!!!! A legend in the making - watch this space!!
