  1. Has anyone else noticed the uncanny resemblance between Neil Lennon and Voldemort (he who shall not be named)?? Very scary for small chldren!
  2. CaleyD - I think you'll find that I never mentioned anything about anyone being offended and I object to your comment about me throwing about claims without any proof. My ears work perfectly well and I heard comments made by those around me. Just because I pass remarks about a noticeable element of the night doesn't mean to say I'm a busybody and I can assure you I'm not a sensitive soul - in actual fact I've pretty well got a hide like a rhinoceros! It seems like I've irritated some of you "experts" by having an opinion of my own - I don't expect everyone to agree with me and I'm sure if you take a loooooong look at other posts for other topics, then the thread generally goes like that too. Perhaps having an opinion is just not tolerated by some - next thing I'll be getting a telling off for being a female????
  3. Georgeios is very obviously the expert on who's having a bit of banter or not? As for telling the ones who were booing to button it, can you just imagine the response a female would get from them? Didn't realise I was "moaning" - making an observation just like many others do on this forum, which is the whole point of it, isn't it? Apologies for taking a WHOLE day to post my comments - didn't realise there was a time limit on these things? Not really too sure why my comments have peed some of you off so much - too near the mark I expect!
  4. Ooooooooooooooo, pardon me for having an opinion. I think you'll have to read my comments again to see that I thought it was a great night too?? Surely there should have been NO negatives from last night? Certainly that's what I think, but maybe it's totally unacceptable for me to have such a foolish thought in my head?
  5. Oh how my opinion seems to have tweeked some tails!!! Lol! Not sure what section I was in, but it was behind the home dugout & I'm merely commenting on the fact that I watched Brewster as he left the pitch and he did not look up to the stand when he came off the grass. I was standing up, clapping for both teams and had a completely clear view of him - I didn't sneeze, cough or briefly fall asleep and miss anything! And I certainly wasn't inferring that you were having a go about my sex - just making an observation regarding myself. Okay, I agree we went down to the first division courtesy of Brewster, but what an exciting season that was for us, and look where we are now???? Some people just seem to dwell on the negatives of seasons gone by - life's too short and what a fabulous team we've got now, eh??
  6. Thank you Dougal for agreeing with me - I may only be a daft wifie, but I felt the booing was totally out of order. It's not as if it was a mega-serious SPL match when booing is part of the whole 90 mins - I boo with the best of them when it's called for!!!! Georgieos - I'm fully aware that Roy was touched by the crowd's appreciation and support of him, and only as it should have been. And I did see Brewster clap to the crowd but he didn't look at them when he came off the pitch. Don't quite understand your comment "people complacent him for awarenenss"??? Do you mean compliment, because he certainly deserved praise for his good play! If this all sounds like I'm Brewster's biggest fan, then that's not the case, but credit where credit's due, and as I've already said ad infintum, it was Roy's night after all.
  7. It may well have been banter, but didn't notice anyone else getting booed throughout the match?? Also I heard a few folk around me passing comment that they thought it was poor show and when I watched him coming off the pitch I thought it was very noticeable that he didn't look up to the crowd at all. Maybe he did smirk, but I bet he was pretty peed off with it by the end of the match. There was more effort put into booing him than there was cheering Roy throughout the match - not quite right somehow????
  8. Was lucky enough to be at the match last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Bazza totally impressed me - another legend! I'm also at a complete loss to understand why an element of the crowd was booing Brewster all the time - utterly disgraceful considering it was Roy's night and I thought the whole idea of a testimonial was to have a fun night to support a player who's been a true servant of the club. Surely these eejits need to remember this and put stupid grudges aside for one night??? Let's face it, he didn't need to turn up, but he did for Roy's special night and fair play to him for doing so. Some of us also had the misfortune of having missiles lobbed at us from the back of the stand - okay they were only a pencil and a pen, but from a distance these things can injure someone. Why not enjoy the game and keep the childish antics outside the ground???
  9. Fab match, sweet result (well worth the wait), a joy to watch - need I go on?? I had a tear in my eye listening to poor Mark McGhee on the radio afterwards - don't know how he managed to drag himself up here with so many injured players and so little talent to choose from. Poor soul! What a gurny wee sh.te he is - the poor interviewer probably had no idea what he was letting himself in for. An absolute plethora of excuses for his side getting humped by us - no mention of course of the fact that we had one or 2 injury problems ourselves??? Also the fact that we had some young boys in the squad who, I might add, played some stonkin football. Oh how his interview made me laugh - go back to sucking lemons all week you miserable git! Well done ICT boys - you did us proud yet again and sooooo deserved it.
  10. Don't think it lasted for very long tho - think they must have comes to their senses pretty smart and then sat down again to rustle sweety papers!
  11. Take your pick - Duracell batteries? Ham sandwich? The "How to be an Efficient Steward" official handbook? Wee (coz he probably got caught short p.shing himself in all the excitement)? Toilet paper? Clean underwear? Gestapo armband? Oh, how I could go on ad infinitum .................

    BBC Celtic

I think we're all fully aware of the bias towards the old firm in the Scottish media, but on the other hand I think ICT fans are fully justified in complaining about the lack of exposure our team gets, apart from in local press etc. On saying that, as me & the family were leaving Dundee after a truly stonking match, BBC Scotland actually said the word "fantastic" TWICE (yes, I said TWICE!!!) when commenting on how we played. High praise indeed!

    BBC Celtic

Dunno if anyone was listening to the radio (BBC Scotland) while trying to get out of the carpark (god knows, that's traumatic enough without listening to the radio), but I was totally amazed to hear the comments made about Smellsick and what happened during the match. It appears they weren't playing another team at all - all of us ICT fans were just watching an imaginary local team!!! How deluded can we be? All the commentators banged on about was Smellsick and basically how wonderful they are (no change there then), but I really think it's about time they woke up and smelled the coffee - Scotland does have a lot of other teams apart from the old firm and not all of us have the glory hunter mentality to support them!
  14. Organised chaos to put it mildly - the kids staffing the food bars didn't know if they were coming or going, and obviously had far too much to cope with. Surely some adult supervision/guidance/help wouldn't go amiss? Prices are completely OTT - if only all the fans were courageous enough to boycott the food bars until prices are brought down to a more reasonable level. I noticed that Macdougall & Hasties prices were far far better. My nephew got 2 delicious chicken curry pies at Morrisons for £1.20!!! Sensible boy! I do have to admit that I like to have a pie at the match (adds to the afternoon, there's no doubt), but come on ICT, bring some pressure to bear on those who set the prices.
  15. Callum Melville's Bottler Army OR One Jocky Scott, there's only one Jocky Scott OR We're forever blowing doubles.....
  16. County's is the bigger result because it was a semi at Hampden but our result in 2000 definitely had more shock value and it was against a much better Celtic team. Celtic fans were calling yesterday the worst performance they'd ever seen and they weren't wrong. Enough already please with the "Support the Highlands" twaddle. I've only lived up here for 7 years so maybe I just have a different take on things but RCFC are our rivals. Congrats to them for a great performance but I no more want to support them in a final or any other game than fly in the air. Anybody who calls themselves an ICT supporter shouldn't be jumping on other peoples bandwagons. :P
  17. Credit to Morton they worked hard and closed possession down very well. When we are denied time and space in midfield we often struggle. To come away with three points was a massive result ahead of D Day next Saturday, but we will have to be better and TB surely has to restore Bulvitis and Sanchez. Golly looked solid all afternoon and it looks like we've (re)found a LB at last. Presumably someone was having a laugh nominating Eric O as MoM cos he was not at the races today. It's not that the lad doesn't have talent - he clearly does but he's got to start applying himself.
  18. Think the quality of the pies is ok actually, but both the balti and the steak pie I bought last night were lukewarm - and that's being charitable. Not acceptable at these prices.
  19. I do think Smith is ready to step aside sooner than people think and McCoist seems to be the heir apparent which would be a gamble for them given his lack of experience. A change in ownership could throw everything up in the air though. Whatever happens lets hope TB is not involved.
  20. Thought Sat was judgement day tbh. Coupled with 2 dropped points v Ayr I think our chance has gone now. Our record against top half teams just doesn't bear a lot of scrutiny. Let's hope we can improve it before end of the season and then kick on.
  21. Wooooo! How fab is his hair now? Took me til half time to get over the shock!! I just love it!
  22. Why do we have to keep paying ?2.50 for a programme that's half the size of the ones we used to get? Fair enough we've had games postponed recently and there's probably not as much news as usual, but surely we can have opposition team info again and other stuff to fill in pages? Also, what happened to the team sheets we were getting? The club must be saving money on the reduced size of the programme, so I take it I'm expecting too much to get a team sheet now?
  23. Not quite sure why the previous caterers got the boot? I had mince pies every week and they were well tasty, so I was truly devastated to hear that I wouldn't be able to get them any more. I foolishly had a macaroni pie yesterday and those of you who were too late to get one didn't miss much at all - think they forgot to put any cheese in the sauce and they were pretty stodgy. My hubbie said his scotch pie was mingin, but he did enjoy his balti pie. I'll probably take a packet of hand-wipes the next time coz of the mess we all got in - the pies fall apart in an extremely serious manner and if you haven't burnt yer mooth oot, then you'll defo burn yer fingers!! Hot choc was very nice tho, but surely you can't go wrong with that??
  24. At times I am absolutely amazed at the amount of negativity from ICT "fans". Instead of having a go at the team, the management and anyone else who just happens to get in the way, why not give them some decent support ie. being a lot more vocal at the matches (at times the Airdrie fans were making more noise than us on Saturday - how many of them turned up?????), keeping butts on seats until the end of the match and generally stop moaning about the guys, even when they do win!!! I, for one, am totally sick of getting stared at when I do shout for the guys - is it SO despicable to give them some vocal support?? Too many fans are only too quick to shout and bawl at the team if they do something worng, but how about channelling some of that passion into supporting them. I know we all pay our hard-earned cash to go and watch them, but if they p..s you off so much, then don't bother going if it's going to upset you so much. Add another name to Butcher/Malpas' supporters - time to give them a chance, especially now that Tel's back with us full-time!
  25. When exactly are the board going to realise that this club is in the SPL and aren't in the Highland League any more??????????? We need a manager who's going to take the club forward and not backwards - relegation is not what we've fought for over the years. It's all very well selling off all our best players to the bigger clubs, but where the hell are we going to get decent replacements for the money we can afford. Every player who lost interest in playing for ICT and wanted out has gone on to re-ignited careers with other clubs. Hibs, Dundee United and, dare I mention, Ross County!!!! How much longer are we going to take players from Ross County who just can't make the grade in an SPL club?? Not that we're showing much evidence of this at the moment. I'm a daft wifie at the end of the day, but even I can see how peed off the players are - I think the captain's actions and Rosscoe's face said it all at the Aberdeen game. How can the fans be expected to continue shelling out at least 20 quid at every home game to sit and watch absolute tripe??? Words fail me when I hear Brew saying that the fans should get behind the players and be more vocal - all very well, but why not give us something to bleedin' well shout about, ie some decent football to watch??? At the rate we're going, all the fans want to do is get behind the team and the manager with a stick of dynamite - would that wake them up though?????????????? Rant over now!!!
