I am a lot more gutted about this than I thought it would be.

I wouldn't take any of the current Hibs players. They are all rancid. If Butcher was to go I would expect he would make a beeline for the Meekings who is an utterly brilliant defender. Even if Butcher stayed I'm resigned to losing him in the near future he's that good.

I don't see any benefit for Butcher to stay until the end of the season. The Hibs job may not be available then. Sadly, he has a chance to go somewhere now and I doubt he will say no and then wait and see what happens.

Anyone who says Hibs isn't a step up from ICT is kidding themselves. It may not be a massive step up but is a step up. To be honest, this is like going through a long and agonising break up with a girl who says "I need some time alone to think" and you're left waiting for her decision thinking it'll be fine she'll come back to you but then she calls you up to say she wants to end things. Then, the next day, you see her with a total walloper, probably called Bastian or another wanky sounding name like that, looking happier than she ever did with you. Crushed, you arrange to meet up with some fat mess you sha**ed on a drunken night out once ages ago in a futile attempt to forget about her but you realise you can't forget the good times you had together. It all makes sense now! County draw Hibs in the Cup. BBC push for Butcher to go to Hibs knowing that the draw is rigged and that he will have to face his former derby rivals soon into his new career in Leith. Means the BBC gets to show the County v Hibs Cup game. #Logic

The BBC still haven't corrected their erroneous article from yesterday.

As per usual the BBC article seems to be poorly reviewed prior to publication. The sentence mentioning Easter Road makes no sense.

The red card will have been for violent conduct and I suspect it will have been for the claw at Shinnie. The "headlock" was in amongst a group of players and not likely to have been seen. He had already been sent off before he made for the linesman.

I didn't see what happened with GMS but I did see Paton fall to the floor clutching his face as he ran alongside Draper. It was pathetic to watch. I have never seen United play act and time waste in the manner they did the other night. Some of it was shameful. I think it was Dillon who collected the ball to give it to his keeper for a goal / bye kick and then throw it away off the pitch again to waste a few more seconds. He was rightly booked then complained about it. Their antics were comparable to those usually employed by Hamilton.

Let's just hope we still have Mckay around come the semi final.
