  1. I can think of one particular team where his religion might lead to problems at games. With regards to ICT though, and other SPL teams, his religion has no bearing whatsoever on why he is disliked at grounds. He has been booed down in England as well. Maybe they all hate him because of his religion?

I'm goiong to side with the Saint Johnstone fans I talked to about this I'm afraid.

The players admitted it in the press and one court found them guilty of taking drugs.

Yes it was. The players also admitted it themselves. The physio that caught them told the club right away and Stewart Duff spoke to the players the next day where they admitted taking cocaine. The players were summoned to a formal hearing, before the whole story broke into the public domain, where they then denied taking drugs. This infuriated Saint Johnstone. They were then sacked for gross misconduct and breach of contract. This is when the story made it into the press. Thomas and O'Boyle then contested their sackings and went from court to court (SFA, SPL and an employment tribunal) as they continuted to fight their sacking. One court actually found them guilty of taking drugs and O'Boyle dropped his case after this. Thomas however pressed on and was determined to claim in the region of ?90,000. In the end he was awarded ?3,000 because of certain legal loopholes in the system. Both players have since been in the papers admitting they took drugs. Neither have shown any remorse and lied to Saint Johnstone to try and get themselves off the hook.
  5. Then you really can't know too much about football. Lennon is exaclty the kind of player that every opposition fan "hates". He's like Robbie Savage, Roy Keane or Ian Black. His religion has nothing to do with it. It's who he is as a player.

I doubt the majority of ICT players are worshipped by schoolkids. They were caught by the Saint Johnstone trainer/physio in the toilets. That's how the story came to light.
  7. While we've reduced prices in the past I think, had we been drawn at home to an SPL team, we would be charging SPL prices too.

Gordon Strachan is a moany wee prick. We never heard about the difference in spending between Gretna and Celtic before the weekends game yet he was all to happy to blabber on about the difference between Shakthars spending and Celtics spending saying "This is what we're up against" prior to their Champions league qualifier. Perhaps before the next Celtic game against Falkirk, ICT or Killie they can ask him the same question and whether the rest of us can ever realistically expect to compete with Celtic given the huge difference in spending. I doubt the little cretin would happily answer that question.

  12. Like Rory MacAllister finishing our top scorer anything is possible....;)
  13. You might want to ask Save Our Staggies where their hard earned cash has gone....
  14. What if, hypothetically, the fan had a knife on him and had slashed Dida across the face?
  15. From what I can see you have 1483 posts over 3 years. I have 936 over 5 years. To me anyway 1483 > 936 And it's worth it to laugh at County when your Chairman comes out with hysterical lines like the one above
  16. Whata joke County are
  17. Either it's a magic wind up or County have actually sacked **** Campbell :017: I've heard Charlie Christie is getting the job :011:

The players always applaud those singing. Of course it helps if they are signing about the players going past, like Deano in the case of Saturday. Prunty used to bare his backside to us when we had the drums and had that Prunty, Prunty shows yer arse song :015:
  19. Some really good goals on show. I don't think Duncans took that much of a deflection. Blackies goal was excellent. To control it and finish like that under pressure was great play. Arfields goal was a belter as well (like McGarry a few seasons ago) and the Wyness one at the end was incredible. What a touch. Thank God the Falkirk defender was too lazy to bother himself to clear the ball as he was a lot closer to it than I thought he was on Saturday.

Slightly OT and maybe worth a new thread but I would like to know why fans were sitting in uncovered areas of the Main Stand on Saturday? SPL rules state that you must have 6,000 covered seats, tickets for these areas must all be sold before people can be sold seats in the uncovered areas of the stadium. Can anyone explain why ICT were flouting these rules and why the stewards and police did nothing about it? Given that the attendance was well below the 6,000 mark no one should have been given tickets for the end wings of the Main Stand and no one should have been sitting there either.

INdeed. he hosed on both Cowie and Tokely big style last week. Thankfully the mad Lithuanian decided to take him off thus paving the way for our crushing victory! :003:
  22. Yeah I never have a good sleep after nights out. Always being sic.... ...oh wait. I see! :004:
  23. Glass half empty kinda day? :007: Cheer up - we won with a blistering performance - it's all good! :003:
  24. The very first post leans towards the "He isn't good enough anyway" opinion :015: Interestingly though, while that was the thread I thought it was, I seem to have it bookmarked with a different name... *edit* I was thinking of another thread! EWS - maybe it was that he stopped continually dying his hair? :004:

*just in case I upset anyone by saying this I will point out that the following is tongue in cheek* I think he should be tested for drugs. I have never seen a player with as much energy as he has got after 90 minutes of, well, running all over the place. I couldn't believe he was still getting forward as much as he was by the end. Let us not forget he played a huge role in the winner last week as well by belting up the right after Wyness had held the ball up. Terrific stuff!
