  1. While it was disappointing to lose last night the most upsetting thing I would imagine for CC was that there was very little positives to take from that game. Joinville did well despite his nervous start and is very powerful in the air and looked solid in the tackle. He stands up well and isn't afraid to stick a leg out to make a vital tackle. Another couple of games to look at him and get a better look perhaps. Munro was at fault for the opener. He misjudged a high ball and didn't control it well. Bavidge was played in behind the defence and he produced a stunning finish to score for Peterhead. Not as good as Martin Woods goals last year against us but still an excellent strike. Peterhead were having a lot of joy with playing the ball in behind our defenders and this led to their second goal. Soane played an inch perfect pass over the head of Joinville and it landed at the feet of Bavidge who cooly controlled it and finished well. Ridgers might feel he ought to have done better as the ball squirmed under him. ICT were creating very little and the closest we came was a fierce Hart free kick which just went over. When we did score it was a smart header from Hart following a Tokely cross that got us back into it. Into the 2nd half and while we had by far the greater possession we did so little with it and rarely troubled Peterhead. The closest we came was a header from Tokely which just went over and a well hit shot from Rory that went over as well. The majority of the 2nd half was broken up with subs by both teams which disrupted the flow of the game somewhat and Peterhead went onto win and Bobby got a kiss from the Buchan Quines or whatever they are called these days when he got the Cup :015:
  2. In fairness Broadfoot is rubbish as a left back. He is best in the centre of the defence. I loved how Calderwood sppoke of Youngs great commitment to Aberdeen - aye whatever ya balloon! When he left with Derek they slated Aberdeen!
  3. You don't need to include me when I've already said I'm going you wazzock! :015:
  4. 2??
  5. Unless you plan on getting a taxi from Aberdeen back to Inverness after the game I'm afriad you are likely to be stuck. The last train back to Sneck from Aberdeen is 21:55. Sadly that last bus (21:30 from PHD) will not get you back in time to meet the train :007:
  6. I'll be there with a few others. Where are you coming from? If you can't blag a lift from Aberdeen you need to get the Stagecoach 260 or 263 to Peterhead. Last bus back is at 21:30 which you would just make.
  7. From the Evening Express (who for some reason chose not to run the story of Young signing for Aberdeen) forget about this story!! The dons have signed Derek Young!!!! What is that all about?? After this little mink and his brother wore those t-shirts they should never play for the dons again! cant believe we are going to pay his wages over someone like Daal! This is Joke! Milne out Jimmy out! Jess in!!! Gary, aberdeen Signing Derek Young is much more of a concern than a little tussle in Egypt. You have to wonder if Jimmy's using the clubs funds to ensure financial security for his pals. An absolutely disgraceful signing and one which has already generated a lot of anger amongst many fellow dons fans!!! Derek Young out. Malky, Aberdeen Can't believe they have signed that tink, both said they were going to a bigger club when they left, and the last time i heard derek young couldn't get a game for partick! Peter, Aberdeen The signing of Derek Young is an absolute disgrace. Him and his equally annoying brother were terrible for us the first time and Derek has hardly gone onto great things at Dunfermline, Partick Thistle and being rejected from Hamilton. And to have to pay this guy money for 2 years - there' must have been someone better out there for that money - even some young kid would have done. It's bad enough we have to pay mnoney to some other Jimmy favourites like Byrne and Brewster. Who's next Jimmy for a return to the Dons - Leon Mike, Paul Sheerin, Jamie Macallister???!!! Steve, Aberdeen THE FANS ARE OWED AN EXPLANATION FOR THIS ONE!!. Lets look at his CV 123 appearances for Aberdeen hmm about 4 goals (great striker; yes taht is what he proported to be not a midfielder as the BBC has tagged him). Abandons Aberdeen during a tough period to get more money at the Pars; is rubbish there; rubbish at St Johnstone; rubbish at Partick and can't even win a deal with Hamilton Accies. Of course I forget that he is related to a director; oh that explains it now. How silly of me to think that talent would be the main requirement. If he starts one game for AFC next season over the head of Chris McGuire then the season ticket goes in the bin. You are not welcome back Derek and I look forward to your free transfer!!! Andy, Aberdeen Brilliant stuff!
  8. I sent my video of me playing football off today. I hope CC is impressed with my no nonsense style of play and mean shot. I put in a beezer of a tackle on a French boy I play football with sending him crashing to the ground. I also slide in under pressure to force the ball home after a scramble following a corner kick showing I can be a threat up front as well
  9. ...well done Aberdeen! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...een/6913468.stm
  10. If I wanted to read about diddy teams playing in a pishy league I'd log onto the County forum
  11. I've got a 10x Optical zoom on the one I had yesterday and use a 2.2x telephoto to take it that wee bit further in if you need to.
  12. Aye I am sure we can offer more than Birmingham...
  13. They probably thought it was some kind of foreign tractor.
  14. Erm, no. Of course I'm not :017:
  15. Hopefully the Away top that the club will be selling won't have names on it.
  16. I found that quite amusing. The wee kid didn't look bothered. I was expecting him to start greeting but he just stood there, actually looking quite happy, saying "I've been sick!" :015:
  17. Some good ones there - particularly the ones from the Locos game. Great timing to get "Mixus" goal there and another good one of Munro winning a high ball in the air. Out of interest, what zoom does your camera have?
  18. If we can get a centre back on board then I think it's been a decent summer for ICT. I might send a DVD of myself doing some keepie ups down to the stadium. See if I can get signed up.
  19. I thought that top with names on it was just for those who, well, put their names on it? I guessed the actual Away top would be the same minus the names?
  20. Aye I don't mind. Some of mine have come out better than I thought despite not have my telephoto lens to hand.
  21. Any good ones? I got a couple of braw ones from Inverurie but a few poor shots as well. How are the new wipers holding up?
  22. And some more: 1) Xander clips a ball through to Hart (2nd Half) 2) Wyness waits patiently for the ball to reach him (2nd Half) 3) Rory and ? (2nd Half) 4) Wyness takes the plaudits (2nd Half) 5) Locos clear and Inverness cross ball (1st Half) 6) Marcus (1st Half)
  23. Some photos from the game: 1) Xander warms up (1st Half) 2) Danger in the Locos box. 3) Morgan tries to cut out a through ball to the Locos forward (1st Half) 4) Morgan retains possession (1st Half) 5) Locos free kick heading goalwards...(1st Half) 6)...but it cracks off the post (1st Half)
  24. The players talk like that every week at games.
  25. Sorry Noddy - typo from me. It was indeed 5 - 2 :cute01: Inverurie scored quite early on I just took longer to text you about it. Can't mind their goal but between them scoring their 1st and 2nd all they really did was hit the post. Any other threat we easily contained. Xander was looking lively in the first half and was giving the Inverurie left back a torrid time. On the other side Marcus wasn't quite so effective at getting past his man, often turning back looking for help from a decent looking Morgan who was overlapping frequently and defending well when he needed to at left back. Hart was looking strong in the midfield also as he chased and harried Inverurie players down. Up front Wyness was poor, rarely looking interested and Rorys famous inability to control the ball was still getting the better of him. Munro was subject of a strong challenge which saw him receive lengthy treatment but he was able to continue. A superb save by Paul Jarvie (yes you read that right!) denied Rory. A fantastic cross by Morgan was met by MacAllister and his strong header was clawed away by the keeper. Somehow Wyness headed wide with the goal gaping. ICT equalised with a strong header from Marcus. He out muscled his marker and rose highest to power past the keeper. With ICT in the ascendancy they looked to build on their lead and a scramble in the Inverurie goal mouth saw Rory pass up another chance with a fresh air swipe. But the 2nd goal soon came. Wyness collected the ball just outside the box, shimmied to his left then dragged back to his right and unleashed a ferocious drive that rose high into the top corner of the net past the despairing Jarvie. Interestingly the goal was given to Roy McBain who had been in the centre circle at the time in case Locos broke :015: Inveruries only other shot of note int he 1st half came when a shot from a free kick rattled off the post with ICT players looking on. Into the 2nd half and it was getting even more one sided if that was possible. A third goal came when Hart collected a loose ball in midfield and drove through the middle of the park, Beating 3 defenders on his route to goal he was incredibly unselfish in passing to Rory who was unmarked and fired into the empty net with Jarvie already committed. Xander and Tokely were proving to be problems down the right fro Inverurie who were often standing off the two allowing them time to send in some good crosses that Inverurie often had trouble dealing with. Hart was still allowed to get forward at every opportunity and I did at times wonder if he was being played behind the front two. Wyness showed great finishing as he scored ICTs 4th goal. Released by a clever ball just to the right of goal he drove forward and, while under pressure, sent in a shot back across goal into the bottom of the net. Locos got a goal back with a fine strike by *insert name here someone?*. In a style similar to Wyness but without the Shuffle and from a greater distance he sent a screamer past Ridgers that drew applause from everyone in the ground. ICT quickly re-established their 3 goal cushion right from kick off. Direct running from Wood saw him burst past some timid Locos players before he accurately dispatched his shot low past the diving keeper. Another easy win for us and it was more comfortable than the scoreline suggests.
