  1. From the uefa.com web-site.... Playing abroad is a dream for many Latvian players, but at 28, and with no international caps to his name, Mihadjuks could have been excused for thinking his chance to live that dream had passed. He made just three appearances for Latvia's top side, Ventspils, last season following a move from FK Rīga, but unbeknown to himself had done enough to impress scouts in Scotland. Mihadjuks is on loan at Inverness for the rest of the season and is determined to do himself justice. Meanwhile, Gary Johnson, the former coach of Latvia who is now in charge of English side Bristol City FC, told uefa.com: "[Mihadjuks] has made a great start in Scotland. The difficult thing is to maintain that standard. He has to work hard: that's his only chance of succeeding in Scotland." I also believe his profile has risen greatly at home in Latvia with his recent overseas success and another goal today against Killie (and a repeat of the February result) will do nicely for both him and us.... Also Latvia's next match is away to Luxembourg on the 28th March and then home to them again on the 1st April so it will be interesting to see if he is in their squad for those....
  2. Dundee v Ross County - draw @ 3.50 - ta muchly
  3. I will not be in the least surprised if he is not at TCS come the start of next season....in fact I am now pretty sure it will be the case....
  4. The Inverness Football Times (1904 - 1976) are available for inspection at the British Library Newspaper Library which has one of the world's largest collection of football related newspapers and magazines.... Then later wasn't there the Green Final that used to circulate on a Saturday evening in the 1970/80s....only to lose its colour and then it's place with the football revolution of the 90s and the growth of the internet....
  5. Ah well....not to be....good effort with 10 men though....
  6. 5 mins to go - can there be an equaliser....?
  7. Keep the Faith.... :thumb04: ....or is it 2 out of 3 ain't bad.... :018:
  8. yeh - he is doing really well so far....
  9. He has changed it now so expect the frontman to have to do a lot of running and then take on Rooney to do same for last 30 or so.... definitely not all over though - there is a long way to go....
  10. It may well be a bit of a struggle now - will he switch it and play with only one up?
  11. Back to basics with the proven home formation - hope it brings a Hibs performance and result and not a Motherwell one....
  12. Good point - Rangers can play Aberdeen in the other semi then....
  13. Maybe they will turn up this afternoon....
  14. Totally agree - I think it is a big boost for all those remaining - no need to rely on an all Old Firm semi now....
  15. 1 down 3 to go for Caley Stan....
  16. 1-0 the Mirren - could be on....
  17. Not how the bookies see it for each of the matches... . ....but would be happy to see each of those in the semi-finals.... :thumb04:
  18. The higher the better as more money to spend on next season's squad and pay off any outstanding payments we may have to make.... SPL cash pot 2007-08 season 1 - Celtic ?3.06m 2 - Rangers ?2.7m 3 - Motherwell ?1.71m 4 - Aberdeen ?1.53m 5 - Dundee United ?1.44m 6 - Hibernian ?1.35m 7 - Falkirk ?1.26m 8 - Hearts ?1.17m 9 - Inverness CT ?1.08m 10 - St Mirren ?990,000 11 - Kilmarnock ?900,000 12 - Gretna ?810,000 The money I believe is normally paid in three instalments - one at the start of the season - the second at the split - and the third at the end of the season....unless the club has requested an early payment from the SPL for special circumstances i.e. Gretna last season So there is a lot still to play for in monetary terms before May....
  19. Well at least we will get the benefit of his presence until the end of the season. I always suspected that he might be off at the end of the season (and for a fee would have been better) as there are quite a few clubs out there who will be looking for decent centre-halfs next season (I can think of at least one from Glasgow) and he would be able to be purchased for a relatively small fee.
  20. I picked up a couple of XXL tops and a XXXL top up at the club shop for some of my mates before the Hibs game for 20 quid but there was only a few XXL left then with the remainder being mostly XXXL and XXXXL and a few of the Ms and Ls. The Errea sizes are always a mystery as with any Adidas top I am always a Large (40-42") but with Errea you always have to go a couple of sizes up and try them on -I know an XXL with the Errea Black Away top fits ok. Errea's XXL 44-46" must be for big lads (or lassies) who want to go for that skin tight affect....
  21. Probably an own goal knowing them as they have been pretty tight at the back this season - not many English players in the Premiership these days - then there is not many in Utd's defence either....
  22. Like so many I can't actually believe we took more than a point from our visit to Ibrox. Nobody would have dared believe that it was possible after our last few visits to Parkhead or Ibrox but the new management team have indeed turned things around and now just need to keep the ship going in the right direction. so the TB pre-split points accumulator now stands at 8 points and a SC QF place - P6 W3 D2 L1 F7 A3 - still not a bad start....with hopefully a lot more to come.... 01-Feb - ICT v Celtic (SPL) - 0-0 (1 point) 07-Feb - ICT v Killie (SC) - 2-0 14-Feb - DU v ICT (SPL) - 1-1 (1 point) 21-Feb - ICT v Hibs (SPL) - 2-0 (3 points) 28-Feb - ICT v Motherwell (SPL) - 1-2 (0 points) 4-Mar - Rangers v ICT (SPL) - 0-1 (3 points) 7-Mar - ICT v Falkirk (SC) 14-Mar - ICT v Kilmarnock (SPL) 21-Mar - Falkirk v ICT (SPL)
  23. In answer to this thread's question all I can say is INDEED and now all we need to do is stay there....
  24. I am with Scotty - The Test New Photos thread was a classic....as they say from small acorns and all that.... It seemed quite unbelievable as it unfolded - a pure classic comedy thread.... Also the old web-site members annual footie tournament was a good read as each round unfolded....sadly the authors creative rightings have been dulled by the copious amounts of vodka that he has consumed since those good old days....
