  1. Not to belittle terrible accident but the mention of Walker Park - tthis was where I had my first football trial at about 10 or 11 - the memories....
  2. Been on one or two o these meself and they do make a differnce especially if they are followed with a session in the bar afterwards
  3. Looks like the Bayern/1860 stadium - one day there will be 4 but until then contiune to dream
  4. Sad news indeed. Played once in a charity game against Colin Hendry and changed completely my opinion of the man and one or two other footballers. Hopefully you will get through this terrible time - God bless.
  5. Sounds like a great idea - was trying to work out how I was going to keep up otherwise come August
  6. 7. Another Errea club announce their new away strip - Brighton and Hove Albion this time.... Unfortunately there is no chance our strip will be like this one though B) Any idea when our new strip will be announced?
  8. Made his senior debut for Bolton in a 2004 FA cup tie and scored - ICT may be the place to get another career back on track.... Bolton 1 Tranmere 2
  9. Can we compete with Dundee? OH YES Dundee may not get the start to the season that a lot of their fans are thinking they will....
  10. Grimsby and Errea have announced the 2009-10 home and away kits - maybe the away kit in white with red and blue flashing is the sign of things to come
  11. Mihadjuks coming back?
  12. Errea have released the new Burnley Away kit for 2009/10 - I don't think there are any clues to our new away strip there though as it is retro....which now seems to be in.... The Home top is also retro with the 1960 crest from when they last won the championship Burnley - June 2009 ICT - September 2009?
  13. Nothing like a franchise.... Salzburg Red Bull's Home and Away Tops Would you really want Inverness Red Bulls?
  14. Oldham last season for the same cause
  15. I see the Crystal Palace strip produced by Errea is being replaced by a Nike strip.... Maybe Errea have a few of these in storage and we might see this as our next away strip (especially as the club was showing a desire for a mostly white away strip) :P Interestingly the new Palace home strip (Nike) is blue and red stripes B)
  16. Interesting view DC - I can't say I feel the same - I wasn't in Inverness at the time of the merger but still think I would have voted pro-merger if I had such a thing - especially if it meant getting an Inverness team in the Scottish League. I also don't think either that the two clubs have died as they are both very much part of the history of the present day club but that's just my view. Interestingly I knew a lot of Jags and Caley supporters who followed other teams such as Aberdeen, Dundee, Hibs, Hearts etc prior to the merger.
  17. Indeed - I remember the sides in after school kick arounds were at one time mostly determined by which of the evil twins you followed :P Can't say I care for either of them much these days unless it's getting scotland additional points in the euro rankings B)
  18. As a kid the big team was Rangers (with a soft spot for Dundee Utd - my first ever top flight game was at Tannadice) but the wee team was the Jags although if a decent team was visiting Caley or Clach I would go along. At the end of the day it was all about the football. Left Inverness to go to Uni in 1984 and kept wandering. Like starchief I then would go along to the games for the teams close to where I was living so Aberdeen, Newcastle United, Tranmere Rovers, Altrincham, Rot Weiss Essen, Eintracht Frankfurt, Manchester United (though on most occassions I was usually wanting the opposition to win - only the free tickets kept me going back), CSKA and Levski Sofia, Cherno More Varna, Zamalek etc have all had my support. I would always look for the inverness teams score in the sunday papers and when the jags finally became part of CT the passion was reborn and a new journey began. Since then I have watched a couple of games each season (and the odd semi-final) and I am already looking forward to the christmas and new year fixtures (hoping for mild weather this year).....
  19. Latest Paddy Power odds have Dundee as clear favourites but they have the same thoughts about the three teams the bottom two will come from Dundee 6/4 Inverness CT 3/1 Dunfermline 11/2 Partick 6/1 Morton 10/1 Ross Co 14/1 Queen Of South 14/1 Ayr 22/1 Livingston 25/1 Raith 25/1
  20. SPL Kits 2009-10 Just one problem....
  21. Looking at the map on here there appears to be no shortage of petrol stations - but as you say opening times can sometimes be an issue - never found it be an issue though but then I was always in a car not on a bike.... http://www.mapzit.com/CARS/highland.htm
  22. I don't think that home games against Dunfermline, Dundee and Partick Thistle are that different from St.Mirren, Falkirk and Hamilton but the additional revenue from the gates when the bigger clubs visit will be missed. Will just need to get some decent draws in the Cups next season home or away to the wee clubs from Glasgow. I should imagine that an average home league gate of 2,500 for next season would be acceptable - hopefully it will be more but we shall see how it goes.... More interested in what the team will look like though....
  23. Only 45 days to go.... The new season kicks off on the 25th July with the 1st Round of the ALBA Challenge Cup v Montrose - is there any word as yet about a pre-season tour or even any games against local opposition. There was talk before of a Flybe type tournament but not sure if that is still on the cards.....
