Possible Transfer Targets
Dundee have signed Martin Boyle from Montrose - they have realised that they will need some more options up front - for them a risk worth taking I think

I agree - like all barrels there are a few bad apples and I met a few during WC98 that make you think seriously about the tartan army myth and the reality of those who use it for other means.... Would like to think that the majority are like Johnny McPunter though

With the Wallace comments from Levein a journalist should ask him who are the other players from the 3rd division he is currently considering for the international setup and if there are any in the 2nd and 1st divisions that he has his eye on....

That I agree with - our one major asset - but for how much longer?

ICTFC Launches Monthly Magazine
Personally I don't like it. I am a bit of traditionalist and like a programme myself for a match. Having said that I have always got the programmes purchased for me as I am overseas but have already said as the magazine is only a larger print size programme the monthly version will do. Have to say when I saw it I was a little disappointed as didn't realise that it was just going to be a glorified programme on a monthly basis. As I said the numbers must make sense to take this approach and if Saturdays home attendance is anything to go by then so be it.....

Ah Coutts - remember getting my light blue and dark blue Derby County away top from there and a yellow and green WBA away top in what must have been the early 80s if not earlier. Saw those county strips on sale also and first thoughts were good on them and in a prominent position too to cause ultimate ICT frustration. Manager must be a county fan ;-)

Is the team better than last year or not
Yip look a better unit and showed glimpses on Saturday what they can do but need to learn how to make teams pay. Still think we lack a cutting edge up front but injuries and suspensions will be our biggest threat.

Our Stewards Got Bottle
Was at a cup final in Bulgaria a few years ago on what was one of the hottest days of that particular year. Security were taking all bottles of water off spectators as they entered the stadium and emptying them. Before the game even reached half time they were forced to give the bottles back out to the fans to fill them with water from the taps as there was no water available inside the ground to purchase. Incidentally there was a pitch invasion at half time and the riot police had to be called to the stadium - not about the lack of water just because the cska fans wanted to get at the cherno more support who had been taunting them all throughout the first half. Strange thing is that as soon as the invasion started all the stewards disappeared thus the call for the riot police.

Seemed to be a lot of tickets stuck on windows. But as you say maybe they just included warning notices.

ICT v Kilmarnock
Frustrating to watch. Started brightly passing the ball around well. Got the first goal and it should have been two before the penalty to Killie. Essen made a good double save from it but had a few lapses of concentration today. After the first 25 mins a Killie goal was always likely. Thought at 1-1 at half time that we would regroup second half and kick on but it didn't happen. Jones sending off was stupid but would like to see the tackle again as he did not just have one go but went after the Killie player with real intent. Actually amazed that we nearly won it at the death from a great cross as Killie looked to be the only team that would go home with 3 pts in the second half. Killie were obviously affected by the early changes they had to make and our early attacking/passing attitude seemed to unsettle them. Not sure about our substitutions taking of both Shinnie and McKay but maybe Butcher had realised by that point that a point was worth salvaging. All in all to get a point from the game was a good result in the end if not extremely disappointing after the bright start. Overall assessment is there are signs that it could be an improvement on last season but we will be vulnerable to injuries and/or suspensions.

There will be a few people not coming back after picking up their fines today. I guess it's how the NC get their money back off the club ;-)

Season's expectation
6th and a decent cup run - today's the day I feel we will know if that is possible

ICTFC Launches Monthly Magazine
Overseas subscription a few quid more I suspect but there will be a few who will take that option up. Was in the shop this morning getting my annual merchandise fix but didnt see it - will pick one up at the game tomorrow. Use to like the old Highland League magazine - was a good read on foreign shores when that was our league of choice. Nice to see the club trying new adventures to spread the word.

Brechin v TheRangers.
Along with the 3rd Division trophy (and the Chic Allan Cup) another trophy that we have bagged but neither of the Old Infirm have. Now they pull this stunt just so that they can get their hands on trophies that we have won - shameful....

Brechin v TheRangers.
Away to the holders Falkirk in the 2nd round in a mid week tie. That should prove a more difficult challenge for the newco.

Season tickets down 20%. Why?
I don't have a season ticket due to living overseas. My father renewed his very early on and as I will be home for a few days next month I am going to take in the Killie game. I asked him to purchase me a ticket and he was able to get the seat next to him. That seat had been a season ticket holders for many years and it was not renewed I believe due to a mixture of not being able to get to enough games due to other commitments to justify it and also a level of disillusionment with the product on show. I know that people say the football on show doesn't have a direct influence but if you are on the fence due to financial or other restrictions the thought of watching a poor display week in week out for another season will probably make your mind up. At the end of the day the attendance element is still in the hands of the club. If the team perform well on the field attendances will naturally rise even though season tickets may be lower than usual due to other issues. Therefore as I have stated previously the first home game against Killie will give the first indication of which way this is going to go. Terry - over to you....
