  1. As per tm4tj's post - bot - "20 year anniversary" - a good idea....no need to go overboard but should be recognised - if nothing else it gives Herr Bannerman an excuse to write another book....and IHE to write the foreword....
  2. Dougal you are indeed a #1 WuM.... I think it may even be possible from your recent posts to work out our your allegiance pre-1994 (or maybe still....)
  3. If it's a little bit of loving they need then I suggest we play "I will survive...." ....as I am sure they will.... There's more to this little farce than is being revealed at present but I am sure with time things may well leak out...unless of course this new deal goes through in the next week or so....
  4. Going Under(ground) - The Jam or that nice little ditty.... The Taxman - The Beatles
  5. Attendance - 2,881
  6. Rossio
  7. Chris Innes scored for Arbroath - didn't even realise that he was there now....
  8. Grant Munro scored County's opener....
  9. Elgin Home @ 2.75 - ta
  10. Sad news indeed - another gone too soon - RIP

  12. Some of the most wordy posts I have ever seen on this site - I didn't realise so many cared about them so much (TIC) ;-) Agree though with above. Herr Whyte whatever many people think about him he knows what he is doing and although preferable not to be in this position this is their best way out. Now's the time to look at who is buying up potential new website addresses ;-)
  13. What does that say about us ;-)
  14. It surely must be Harry Ramsden as you've mentioned all the others.... ;-)
  15. Just looked at the article on Andrew "Jupie" Mitchell in the "Hub" booklet. It states he rejoined Caley in 1949 after being demobbed and won the qualifying cup and then played for the four following seasons where he won several medals (2 more Qualifying Cup medals, 2 North Cup medals, two League Championship medals, a Highland League Cup medal and a Charity Cup medal) so he was at Telford Street for 1948/49(part), 49/50, 50/51, 51/52, and 52/53. He won the Inverness Cup and was a runner-up in the Qualifying Cup with Thistle in 1953/54 so the earliest the Thistle photo could have been taken is 1953. I have checked again the Nairn County photo and it is 1955/56 (taken before the game against Nairn at Kingsmills which ended 11-0 and Mitchell scored four) and 9 of the 11 in that photo are the same as the one above that is listed as 1951/52.
  16. Listening to Celtic TV is painful - the commentary team are giving the referee a right going over - even their own fans have been texting in saying it is OTT - I think I'll listen to the Radio Scotland commentary 2nd half....
  17. "Even though they all have their backs to the game they can all see he has a head knock"
  18. Also just looked at a photo taken in August 1966 that appears to be at Kingsmills showing a round collar (White) with what is assumed to be an all red top under the title 'The boys who are bringing back the Kingsmills fans' so there may be another season when the stripes were absent. The source of the photo in question is the 'Hub' booklet so it is possible that the season reference is wrong....
  19. The 1950 top appears to be similar to the one in the photo but with one red sleeve and one black sleeve with the front half red half black like the Blackburn Rovers top. Also seen a photo from around that time from a game against Nairn that shows the team wearing what appears to be the same as the photo in the earlier post with black sleeves and collar but a white body instead of red and no badge - I assume it was the away/change strip of the time....
  20. 1-4 now - Kerkar first touch
  21. Aluko was yer man :-)
  22. 38pts - 4 more wins should do it....starting today.... ;-)
  23. 1-3 now and and an attendance of 7,500 - not too bad for them from that point of view....
  24. 19th Nov 2011 - ICT v Celtic (0-2) - Att 6,435 4th Feb 2012 - ICT v Celtic (0-2) - Att 5,743 21st Sep 2011 - Ross County v Celtic (0-2) - Att 5,367 Only 692 less people at last week's game (a drop of 11% from the November gate) - considering early kick-off, ticket prices and it was live on TV not too bad actually.....the TV revenue will have made up for those missing.... I agree like others I would like to see more through the gate but taking into account all the factors the crowd size should not have been totally unexpected....
  25. TICHY BLACK'S BACK HT: 0-0 FT: 0-1 1st ICT: Foran 1st Opp: Hooper Crowd: 48,424 CAL'S THISTLE HT: 1-1 FT: 1-1 1st ICT: Hayes 1st Opp: Stokes Crowd: 48,408 Edited for change of ICT goalscorer to Foran as Tade out - TBB
