  1. Are YOU sure....
  2. I'd tend to go along with most of that.... Rossco :thumb04: ;) Not a great day at the office, too many stray passes. A long time since I have seen so many air shots by a player in a match also.... :018:
  3. Rangers Away in the semi-final....
  4. Totally agree - let's take all the awards and the Scottish Cup in the last month....give it to Hamilton again or even better Falkirk or St.Mirren.... :thumb04:
  5. Was the booking not for blocking the hibs free-kick....didn't look like much he could have done about it as they took it quickly and it was pinged right into him....poor decision in my opinion. I am though looking forward to seeing the shoulder charge/push in the first half on proctor - how none of the officials saw it I don't know and how long did they play on for after Pavel got his head knock....
  6. 21-Feb - ICT v Hibs (SPL) - 2-0 (3 points) 28-Feb - ICT v Motherwell (SPL) 7-Mar - ICT v Falkirk (SC) 14-Mar - ICT v Kilmarnock (SPL) 3 points from the first game and if we continue with the current performances we could well be off the bottom by 16:45 on the 14th March Alex - only 16 more points before the split and you will be spot on with that prediction.... :thumb04:
  7. Managed to make the game today - good result in what wasn't the best of conditions but weren't Hibs absolutely dire. On that performance you can't believe they have managed to obtain so many points this season. By far not the worst game I have ever seeen and to tell you the truth if they are all like that until the end of the season and we keep winning I will be happy.... The team looked up for it right from the start and the team celebration for the second goal showed what it meant to them collectively....excellent with Imrie riding the wave - should make a good photo... Imrie's free kick as mentioned earlier was spectacularly bad (almost comical). Can't remember many free-kicks on goal when the ball actually went closer to your own goal after the strike on goal. He made up for it though and within a minute was up the other end of park winning the ball in a tackle as Hibs broke forward. Worked his socks off today as did the others. Special mentions though I thought must go to Imrie and Lionel with varying levels of pass marks for everbody else. Butcher and Malpas must be commended for their management of the team from the sidelines continually giving instructions when needed and Butcher consistently clapping and praising players when they have done something well. There is clearly a new team spirit among the playing and coaching staff at our club.
  8. Forfar 2-0 down - down to 10 men with 15 mins to go so I would say its just a case of who will face Celtic left now.... Dunfermline v Aberdeen Rangers v Hamilton Inverness CT v Falkirk Motherwell/St Mirren v Celtic
  9. Not another one I hear you say....jaggie sleepers all over the place....
  10. Getting clearer - Bayne scored winner for Dunfermline this evening....and Aberdeen trounced East Fife 5-0 Dunfermline v Aberdeen Forfar/Rangers v Hamilton Inverness CT v Falkirk Motherwell/St Mirren v Celtic
  11. On from the start this evening and booked after 51 minutes but they beat Swansea 2-0....good win for them.... Watford: Loach, Mariappa, DeMerit, Mike Williamson, Doyley, Cork, Cowie, McAnuff, Jenkins, Priskin, Smith. Swansea: De Vries, Serran, Williams, Monk, Tate, Britton, Gomez, Allen, Butler, Dyer, Scotland.
  12. Alex - I admire your optimism and would settle for 12-14 points but I am also pretty sure we will be back in the mix with a few others by the time the split comes....only wish I was able to get up north to see the games over the next four weeks - what more could a football fan want....
  13. John - just curious - did you ever play at Grant Street Park, Telford Street or Kingsmills Park in a friendly or a scottish cup tie when you were a player - and if so what were your memories of playing against Highland League teams? By the way Cheers for taking the time to answer these questions....
  14. Good day - glad to see you back on again. There were some great players on the scottish scene (north and south of the border) when you were playing. In your opinion who were some of the best players that you played with and against....and who do you think was the best footballer of your time?
  15. :018: :thumb04:
  16. I agree CD something along those lines could be offered - half price adult tickets for Kilmarnock if 2 of the 3 games attended (and kids free) as it is a lot to expect families etc to attend all 4 games in a month especially in the current financial climate. Having said that is also a great opportunity for the club to keep the numbers up, an atmosphere within the stadium for crucial games and further improve local initiatives to get fan's behind the club when it is really needed. Also would be nice to get 9 points and a trip to Hampden for another semi-final....
  17. Mentioned this briefly on the match day thread but we have 4 big Saturday home games coming up (as well as a mid-week visit to Ibrox on the 4th March): 21-Feb - ICT v Hibs (SPL) 28-Feb - ICT v Motherwell (SPL) 7-Mar - ICT v Falkirk (SC) 14-Mar - ICT v Kilmarnock (SPL) All winable and then we still have the games against St.Mirren, Falkirk and Accies before we play them again after the split....I can't remember anytime in the past when we had 4 continuous weeks of Saturday home games. This should hopefully benefit the club with very little travelling and plenty of time to prepare through the month for each game... This could turn out to be a great advantage at this time of the season and an increase in the home support would provide the club with a big lift. Also something that the club should be using to their advantage by promoting ways to get more through the turnstiles....
  18. On the bench this evening.... TEAMS Watford v Chelsea Watford: Loach, Hoyte, Mariappa, DeMerit, Doyley, Smith, Jenkins, Lee Williamson, McAnuff, Rasiak, Hoskins. Subs: Lee, Sadler, Cowie, Priskin, Harley, O'Toole, Parkes. Chelsea: Cech, Mancienne, Alex, Ivanovic, Ashley Cole, Lampard, Ballack, Mikel, Kalou, Anelka, Drogba. Subs: Hilario, Di Santo, Quaresma, Ferreira, Deco, Belletti, Stoch.
  19. I see the latest man City resurgence fizzled out at Portsmouth today - I can think of at least one poster on this site who will be happy tonight.... Portsmouth 2 City 0
  20. Will have to change it now with red card and Black's suspension and I think he might even come up with an alternative formation for crucial home games coming up in league and cup At least we will have plenty of expereince of watching games at Caledonian Stadium in the next 4 weeks....could turn out to be a big advantage....
  21. 8.Hamilton Ac. 25 9 2 14 23 37 29 +10 pts 9. Kilmarnock 25 8 4 13 24 33 28 +9 pts 10. St Mirren 25 7 6 12 21 30 27 +8 pts 11. Falkirk 25 5 8 12 27 37 23 +4 pts 12. Inverness CT 25 5 4 16 23 42 19 A long way to go yet with three big Saturday home games coming up (as well as a mid-week visit to Ibrox): ICT v Hibs ICT v Motherwell ICT v Kilmarnock All winable and then we still have the games against St.Mirren, Falkirk and Accies before we play them again after the split as it doesn't appear we will make the top 6 now.... GAME ON....and a big turn-out from our home support will also help....
  22. Enjoy your pints tonight Bob....a point for ICT at Tannadice though keeps the momentum going.... :thumb04:
  23. At least Accies lost so a point closer to them....
