  1. Edging closer Billy McKay rescued a point for Inverness with a late header to edge us closer to the top six finish that has eluded us for a few years now. John Baird scored his fourth goal in the last eight matches to set the ball rolling as Dundee looked to claw back the points towards safety, but neither club could fashion out a winner and the draw was seen as a fair result overall. Gary Warren came close with a header cleared off the line and Andy Shinnie smacked the bar but there was little hope of another four goals coming our way as we stutter towards the split. A couple of early pitch inspections were required before this game got the go-ahead, and the reason for that became apparent as the game progressed, the pitch being very heavy and cutting up quickly. Richie Foran started on the bench as did Nick Ross. Graeme Shinnie was pushed further forward with Charlie Taylor at full back in his first start. Dundee, buoyed by their win over St Mirren in midweek had left our Nemesis Colin Nish on the bench with former Raith Rovers striker John Baird the man on form up front. Inverness started brightest and Shinnie and Doran set up McKay, but the cross was just too high for the wee man and his header went wide. On form John Baird raised the Dundee expectations with an excellent twenty yard strike as he cracked the ball past Esson on the end of a slick four man move, Ryan Conroy being the final provider. This goal perked Dundee up and Nicky Riley fired a shot narrowly over from twenty yards. Centre back come goal scorer Gary Warren almost equalised but his header was desperately cleared off the line twice as the Dee's defence scrambled the ball to safety, ooooohhh. Birmingham target (allegedly) Andy Shinnie was out of luck as he saw his dipping shot from distance beat Rab Douglas but cannon back off the crossbar, great effort from him though. Inverness were having the better of the first half in every way apart from the scoreline and frustration was beginning to show on and off the park. The visitors dugout felt the wrath of Terry as he Butchered the perspex cover after another move stuttered to a halt around the half hour, his displeasure available for all to see. That was a warning for his own players that the half time chat was going to be colourful. Baird almost scored his second of the day, but Esson blocked his point-blank effort although I'm not sure he knew much about it after Riley had swung in a strikers dream cross. Dundee were dangerous on the counter seemingly able to cut open the Inverness defence at times, but it was the visitors who were creating and controlling most of the play without troubling Douglas, and this was riling Terry. Half Time 1-0 Whatever Butcher said at half time, it never worked unless he asked them to let Dundee control the pace. Riley was once more causing us problems with his pace and trickery and Doran was trying his best at the other end. Billy McKay caused some panic in the Dundee defence but he was crowded out and the ball was eventually gouged clear by a mortified defence. Esson had to be at his best to tip an Iain Davidson back head flick over the bar from a Conroy corner, and at the opposite end, Owain Tudur-Jones bobbled a ball towards Douglas but he might have got a fingertip to it and it went round the post. However, the goal was coming and when Jones hit a ball long, Foran gathered it and fed Graeme Shinnie who flighted a ball to the far post where Billy McKay made ground to nod past a helpless Douglas. Good build up, good goal. Both sides tried to win the game in the last ten minutes but there was no further scoring and a point each was a fair result. Full Time 1-1 This was never going to be the same outcome as the previous two fixtures this season. Both sides will see this as a couple of points dropped rather than a point gained. Probably the result that neither wanted, but for us it's a point closer to the top six finish, but we do seem to be doing this the hard way recently. Good to see Billy McKay scoring again and he will be crucial in our run in to the split. David Raven is leading the way in the MotM votes for this one, and Ross Draper gets some good reviews online for his endeavour. 9th Mar 2013 Scottish Premier League Dens Park, Dundee Dundee 1 - J Baird 13 TEAM: Douglas, Irvine, Toshney, Grassi, Easton, Riley, Davidson, McAlister, Conroy, Harkins, Finnigan (85), Baird SUBS: A Baird, Benedictus, Gallagher, McBride, Nish, Stewart Booked: Easton, Davidson Sent Off: none Inverness C.T. 1 - McKay 83 TEAM: Esson, Raven, G Shinnie, Warren, Meekings,Jones, Doran, (Foran 72), Draper, McKay, A. and what did he say ? will never forget the reaction anyway lol There's been a few variations on this - Scotty and others asked him before. This week he thought it was along the lines of 'don't ask him to spell his name ref' I think I got the true story back in the depths of time ... and it was very mundane! I prefer to believe CC told him that the girl Boner fancied in the Crying Game was really a bloke !!! but the real story is below: We had just scored (in 72mins) to make it 0-3 and a minute after the restart Bone put in a nasty challenge on Christie that ended in "handbags" between the pair. It earned both a yellow card, but for Bone it was his second and the yellow was followed by a red. Apparently, in the verbals that took place after the red was flashed, Charlie simply asked him what the score was and that was enough to make sure Boner went ballistic ... earning a second red on the pitch for violent behaviour as he lunged at Charlie and punched him, then afterwards, he was called to the referees room and got himself a third one for his attitude/comments to the ref !!! He got a 5 game ban for it all after earning 26 disciplinary points in the one match !!! ...... even Paul Sheerin mentions it as a highlight of his time in the Highlands: http://www.scottishfootballleague.com/news/article/paul-sheerins-world-tour-of-scotland/
  5. Scotty replied to TopSix's topic in Caley Thistle
I would have to put Charlie at the top of my list as he is the only individual to have taken on roles as player, manager, and commercial manager/exec within the club ... Mr ICT ! After that, and in no particular order, I would choose Ross Tokely, Bobby Mann, and Steve Paterson (you didnt say just players!). I am reserving the 5th spot for now but will award it to Terry if he does get us into Europe this season! Its hard to pick just five, and you realise when trying to do so just how blessed we have been with playing/managerial staff who we admire for their contribution to the club ... be it the goalscoring exploits of Wyness/Stewart, the wing wizardry of Wilson, the charging runs of Teasdale, the loyalty of a player like Munro who was with the club man and boy, or the cult status of others like Jimmy Calder, Darren Dods etc. I also think questions like this tend to put players from the early years at a bit of a disadvantage .... Will flying winger Wilson Robertson get a mention? or what about Mike Noble who was an ever present stalwart (and captain) in our first three seasons alongside Calder and Stewart, or Ian Macarthur or even Daisy Ross who was most definitely a cult hero !!!
  6. 2-0 Hearts .. if it finishes this way it stops St Johnstone going above us and drops St Mirren to 11th (bonus)

  8. El Floppo Not quite El Kessocko, more like El Floppo as both sides bludgeoned out a pretty drab no scoring draw. One man did his best to keep the score level and that was the clown that officiated this encounter. A painted face and a pair of oversize shoes were all that was missing from referee Steve McLean as he went about his routine, culminating in the moment he brought the house down with his antics. Not giving a penalty was hilarious. But he topped that by booking the spreadeagled Graham Shinnie to the delight of the watching throng. Graham now misses the next derby in a fortnight at Inverness. As expected, Richie Foran made the starting eleven with Nick Ross dropping to the bench and Gary Warren returned at centre back, partnered by Josh Meekings with Devine dropping out. For County, Michael Fraser was a late replacement for Mark Brown in goals. A packed Global Energy Stadium and a perfect day for football saw the game kick off with the fans in fine fettle and singing voices well lubricated in the pre-match boozers, the Mallard being well full before the Steve McLean show started. To be honest, I don't have a lot to tell you about. We seemed to play the better quality football, but once more the cutting edge was blunt, County quite content to hit on the counter, a style which suits them down to a tee. Villain of the piece Ian Vigurs was first to threaten, taking on Raven but Gary Warren intervened as he tried to shoot. Josh Meekings charged down a Paul Lawson shot with County claiming for hand ball, nothing doing. Billy McKay was inches away from connecting with a Richie Foran cross as Inverness looked the more likely to make the breakthrough, but defences were on top. David Raven came to the rescue as he headed a thumping netbound shot from Oikonomou away to safety and Inverness responded when Ross Draper saw his effort cleared off the line. Enter the clown as he rightly booked Ian Vigurs for unceremoniously upending Raven, then he also booked Raven for being fouled; what the! This sparked a bit of posturing on the touchline, get back in yer box Derek, as Terry and Derek exchanged niceties, 1-0 to Terry. Half Time 0-0 The second forty five was similar to the first, once more few clear chances. Andy Shinnie tried his best with a mazy run at the County defence but his lack of pace saw him run out of legs as Munro mopped up the attack and at the other end Kovacevic nearly did a 'Gasgoine' as he flicked the ball up and over Shinnie, but his shot just missed Esson's right hand post. Good effort by the full back though. His next effort was wide of the mark as County began to assert themselves more but the Inverness defence held firm and the game had nil nil written all over it long before the end. Hilarity erupted when Oikonomou felled Graham Shinnie as he burst into the box with the punch line following thereafter; a booking for the prostrate Shinnie, my sides were sore laughing .........NOT! Tudur-Jones thought he was Messi as he skirted round the County defence. It turned out he was messy as his attempted curler went high and wide, as did Brittain's effort late in the game. Full Time 0-0 So, much ado about nothing really. The game itself was a bit disappointing although at 0-0 it had enough to keep you interested. That's five blank sheets County have had in a row during their now 10 match unbeaten run. Steve McLean saw to it that they kept their run going but in all honesty both sides could have played for a week and not scored. Let's hope the game in Inverness has some added value to it. tm4tj MotM:- Another tough call on this, but it has to go to either Garry Warren or Josh Meekings who were rock solid at the back. Andy Shinnie showed again he is peerless in terms of quality, just an extra half a yard would see him and us benefit. So, on his return to action it has to be oooooh, Gary Warren. All to do again on the 16th, and the Highlands are still ours until then, and County remain in our shadow, just. You can hear the seethe already. 2nd Mar 2013 Scottish Premier League Global Energy Stadium, Dingwall Ross County 0 - TEAM: Fraser, Kovacevic, Ikonomou, Boyd, Munro, Sproule (Wohlfarth 88), Brittain, Lawson, Quinn, Vigurs, Morrow (Glen 66) SUBS: McCarthy, Hainault, Cooper, MacPhee, Ross Booked: Vigurs (30) Sent Off: none Inverness C.T. 0 - TEAM: Esson, Raven, G Shinnie, Warren, Meekings, Doran (Ross 57), Draper, Tudur Jones, Foran (Taylor 64), A Shinnie, McKay SUBS: Reguero, Sutherland, Polworth, Pepper, Devine Booked: Raven (30), G.Shinnie (79) Sent Off: none Referee Steven McLean Attendance 5959

  10. If it is true I'm going to buy a smoking jacket and a pipe and wear the smoking jacket in the shower while blowing bubbles from the pipe and singing Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head. Provided you are also wearing underwear, you may be held to this statement with proof being required via YouTube ! I am sure we could make it go viral !!!
  11. "reasonable person" indeed !!! Seems to me the world has gone mad and authorities can and do react to even a single complaint from people who are not actually offended themselves, but are instead offended on behalf of someone else !!! These kinds of folk piss me off no end ... too much time on their hands ! Its not just Northern constabulary, Scotland, UK or even Football in general, it has pervaded every continent - the same happens over here in all walks of life ! slightly off topic ... but just announced over here by the NBA (Basketball) and NHL (Ice Hockey) that they will require clubs to wand people going into games just like you would get through security at an airport .... It used to be "random" but as of last night the NBA now requires it for all fans at all games. NHL is still "random, but that will change .... funnily enough, although there are bag checks at BMO field for Toronto FC games, wanding is not and never has been present ... but if the NBA and NHL are doing it, expect it to happen everywhere else in North American sport very soon .. and spreading to other parts of the world too !!! what precipitated this ? NOTHING !!! The NBA commented that "the change in policy is not the result of any specific finding or experience. It is a league mandate, and all 30 teams and venues are required to comply." Maybe the fans should just highlight the ridiculousness of the suppression of this particular piece of banter by chanting "BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP" in place of the above? ... my alternative to "gypsy" would be nomad !!! A perfectly legal non-derogative term that I used almost every day when encountering rural folk in Morocco last year .... because thats what they are, thats the lifestyle they lead, and thats what they call themselves. Dictionary.com also has a few other synonyms for the noun "gypsy": definition "Wanderer": Bohemian, nomad, roamer, tzigane, vagrant definition "Migrant": Drifter, itinerant, nomad, rover, tinker, transient, traveler, vagrant, wanderer definition "outcast": bum, castaway, hobo, reprobate, tramp, vagabond, vagrant, wretch Its all relative ..... How many reality programmes featuring "gypsy" in the title have been on TV over the last few years ... certainly a few over here at the moment? Are these people offended? no, they associate with the term and are using it as a badge of honour. But if I call someone from Dingwall that name, and they call me a tink, with neither of us getting offended, nor directing at anyone in hatred, just banter, then we both potentially get arrested for hate crimes ...... Same with the other groups listed above ... I have friends (and family) who are black, just as I have Asian, South Asian, and gay friends (more commonly now called the "LGBT" community - Lesbian, Gay, Bi, TransGender). My carpool passenger is a Turkish Muslim, and my other carpooler - who moved to Calgary last year - was an Iranian Muslim ... Does it matter? Nope. Everyone I call "friend" is a friend because of who they are, not what label can be applied. Hell, I even have English friends !!! It is common within my circle of friends for those of similar backgrounds to use various terms with each other that I would never dream of using .... The 'N' word is not just used in rap songs, it is also used colloquially between friends (usually males) when both are black. Same with gay guys who often call each other "queer" or "queens" ... The terms don't offend me when they use them to each other, its not directed at me, so no big deal, but I dont use them ... not because I think my friends would be offended, but because it doesnt feel right, or indeed necessary to use them .... but in terms of football banter then yes, I do think we have become way over sensitive ! does the Tartan Army still hate Jimmy Hill ? or has that been banned too ?
  12. and only 6 defeats .... less than any other team except Celtic ... County close behind with just 7 defeats
  13. Motherwell just gone 2-1 up on Celtic and St Johnstone now 1-2 up on 10-man Dundee so currently sitting 4th ..... need a goal of our own !!!
  14. Zero No goals at the Caledonian Stadium as Inverness and United cancelled each other out on a brisk February night. Andy Shinnie had the best opportunity to break the deadlock in the second half but he headed straight at the keeper when either side of him would have seen a goal, but it was not to be as Inverness dropped to third with Motherwell beating Celtic to jump into second spot. It's oh so tight as the league reaches the tickly spot. Couldn't manage another four goals tonight and the commentators curse struck as we had to settle for a no scoring draw in the end. Richie Foran recovered sufficiently to make the bench and Josh Meekings replaced the suspended Gary Warren, partnering Daniel Devine at the rear. Ryan Esson continued in goal with Reguero as standby. United set out their stall with an attack minded side, probably just as well for them as their defending has been suspect at times. Michael Gardyne getting a start with Stuart Armstrong on the bench. Inverness started brightest and pegged United back in the early stages looking for the breakthrough. For all his height, Owain Tudur-Jones should be an ideal target at set pieces, alas, heading is not his strong point and he wasted a good opportunity meekly heading a Doran corner wide of the keepers left hand post. United responded and Jon Daly did likewise at the other end as headers seemed to be the preferred method of attack, Billy McKay nodding one direct at Cierzniak from a great position as the play opened out. Neither side were able to get a foothold in the match as the play went from end to end and defences were mainly on top, but contract boy Andy Shinnie came closest, forcing Cierzniak into a diving save just before half time as he wheeled on the edge of the box and fired a shot low towards the goal, but the keeper was equal to it. Half Time 1-1 The second period continued in the same theme and I've seen worse nil nil games. Aaron Doran was teasing and probing at one end and Gary Mackay-Stevens was doing the same at the other end, but poor final balls and good defending thwarted most moves. Around the hour mark, the cumbersome Jon Daly passed up the Arabs best chance so far, heading over from six yards. He should have made the keeper work.. United were becoming more prominent and they seemed to gain the upper hand possession wise, but clear chances were at a premium as the play went from end to end. Esson saved a shot from substitute Armstrong to keep the score blank and the United goalie did likewise from the classy Andy Shinnie, who was at full stretch to turn a ball goalwards. Armstrong blazed a loose ball high over the bar at the other end when he should have done better with the defence struggling to cover him. It was Shinnie that should have broken the deadlock after some neat play when he strode onto an outswinging cross from Doran, but his diving header was straight down the keepers throat and the chance was wasted. With twelve minutes remaining, Ryan Esson earned his corn when he grappled with a deflected Rankin shot from close range and eventually pounced on the ball before it squirmed over the line. Close call! The long awaited return of Richie Foran was a welcome sight with ten minutes left on the clock and he looked eager to get involved, and he livened the last few minutes up, but it was United who pressed at the death for the goal which would steal the points, but it never came. Full Time 0-0 A draw was just about right although Inverness did create the better openings, but some woeful shooting and heading kept the score blank. The only winners from this game were Motherwell who jumped above Inverness into second place after beating Celtic 2-1. So, it's onward to Dingwall for what has now become a very meaningful game given County's recent surge of form and Inverness' apparent reluctance to kill off games. Interesting weekend ahead. tm4tj MotM:- goes to the quality player that is Andy Shinnie. Not able to get on the scoresheet last night, but his close control was a joy to behold. Danny Devine was solid at the back as was Josh Meekings and Nick Ross had one of his best games as well, so onwards to Dingwall and it's all to play for. 27th Feb 2013 Scottish Premier League Tulloch Caledonian Stadium Inverness C.T. 0 - TEAM: Esson, Raven, G Shinnie, Devine, Meekings, Doran, Draper, Tudur-Jones, Ross (Sutherland 80), A Shinnie, McKay (Foran 80) SUBS: Reguero, Laing, Polworth, Pepper, Taylor Booked: Meekings (16) Sent Off: none Dundee Utd 0 - TEAM: Cierzniak, Watson, Douglas, Dillon, McLean, Gardyne, Flood, Rankin, Mackay-Steven, Daly, Russell (Armstrong 38) SUBS: Banks, Ryan, Millar, Dow, Thomson, Souttar Booked: Flood (68) Sent Off: none Referee Brian Colvin Attendance 3413

  20. Heads up, we're second Inverness thrust themselves back into second place in the SPL with a gutsy performance at Tynecastle to gain a modicum of revenge for the League Cup defeat at the hands of Hearts. We were always on top in a sometimes towsy encounter that developed into a nail biter before the end. Gary Warren opened the scoring in the first half with a header from Aaron Doran's free kick but Jason Holt belted a drive home 10 minutes after the break. Billy McKay nodded in his first for a while and Andy Webster wrong footed Ryan Esson with a massive deflection to restore parity. However, Gary Warren wrapped up the points when he powered a header beyond MacDonald with around fifteen minutes left to end the scoring and end Inverness' recent run of poor results. Inverness had to re-shuffle the pack slightly with Josh Meekings picking up a late injury and Daniel Devine stepping in at the last minute. Ryan Esson continued in goal and as expected Richie Foran sat this one out with Nick Ross filling his boots. Hearts had the human windmill, Mr Ngoo up front looking to cause havoc once more with his flailing limbs and John Sutton starting on the bench. John McGlynn kept faith with the youngsters who will be the future of Hearts with the big money earners elsewhere. It didn't take Ngoo long to make his mark on the game, less than thirty seconds gone when he physically and aggressively shoved Gary Warren to the deck after a brief encounter, this earned the windmill a yellow card which could easily have been red. Naughty boy, and a lucky boy! This did not deter him though and he managed to see out the match whilst continually interfering with his opposing numbers, but Gary Warren had the last laugh and his match winning performance was right out of the top drawer. Capital Caley will have a full report for us once he recovers............. Warren at the Double There was a sense of relief at full time that Caley Thistle had finally got back to winning ways. The small band of ICT fans witnessed an entertaining game, particularly in the second half. As usual for a Hearts away game, many of the away day regulars met at Diggers. Two of the Highland Marchers walked from Linlithgow. Somehow one of them (I won't say who) misread the map and added another 5 miles more to the journey than planned. The welcome sight of many ICT regulars was our reward for the 23 mile yomp. A few of us then headed down to the Gorgie Suite (later renamed the Gary Warren Suite) to meet ICT fans from the Official Travel Club. Most fans were fairly confident going into the game despite the recent poor results. The last time Inverness had won at Tynecastle was in 2007. ICT won 3-2 that day with goals from Russell Duncan, John Rankin and a last minute Graeme Bayne penalty. Fast forward 6 years and the same score line saw Caley Thistle beat Hearts in style to take second place from Motherwell who were beaten in Dingwall by FC Global Energy. Hearts should have been down to ten men after only 22 seconds. The SPL’s highest scoring defender Gary Warren got into a tussle with Liverpool loanee Michael Ngoo. Ngoo lashed out at Warren shoving him with both hands straight to the deck. Referee Bobby Madden saw the incident but decided to issue only a yellow card. Bizarre. Two minutes later Ngoo brought down Warren again with a clumsy challenge. This was to set a precedent for the rest of the match. Somehow, Ngoo lasted the whole 90 minutes, but Warren had him in his back pocket the whole match. Hearts had a chance to open the scoring after 5 minutes, but Andy Websters half volley sailed well over the bar. It was end to end football in the first 15 minutes with both teams looking like they could score. However, it was the Caley Jags that opened the scoring a quarter of an hour in. Aaron Doran curled in a cross that saw the inrushing Gary WARREN outjump the Hearts defence and power the ball past Jamie MacDonald and into the back of the net. Two minutes later, Caley Thistle nearly doubled their lead. Owain Tudur-Jones stepped up to take a free kick from around 30 yards out and with a chorus of ‘SHOOOOOT’ from the ICT fans, his powerful shot went just wide of the post with MacDonald beaten. After 25 minutes, Danny Devine (in for the injured Josh Meekings) went into the referees book for a challenge on Ngoo. It was an absolute pathetic decision by Madden and highlighted yet again more inconsistencies from him. After 34 minutes, Andrew Shinnie found Billy McKay who beat his man and slotted the ball into the back of the net. However, the linesman called it offside. If it was offside it must have been very close. After 38 minutes Andrew Shinnie gave away a free kick much to the fury of the ICT players and support. Owain Tudur-Jones received a yellow card for arguing. At half time, Caley Thistle deserved their lead and we were all hopeful of adding to the score line in the second half. Half Time 0-1 Four minutes into the second half Graeme Shinnie received a caution and into Bobby Maddens book. Nine minutes after the re-start Darren Barr's cross found Jason HOLT who powered the ball into the top right corner of the net to level the scores. Inverness responded brilliantly and only 6 minutes later regained their lead. Ross Draper's cross found Billy McKAY who headed the ball from close range into the Hearts net. Inverness were deservedly back in front. With only 16 minutes left however, Hearts equalised again. Nick Ross cleared the ball off the line with a header but in the bedlam in the box the ball fell to Andy WEBSTER. His shot took a wicked and unfortunate deflection off Danny Devine leaving Ryan Esson with no chance. Hearts nearly took the lead only minutes later. Jamie Walker's powerful shot was brilliantly saved by Esson to deny Hearts. On the 76th minute, Caley Thistle deservedly regained the lead. Graeme Shinnie's corner found Gary WARREN who beat his man to bullet the ball into the corner of the net with his head. His second of the game and sixth goal of the season. Hopefully there is more to come before the season is out. Minutes later Shane Sutherland came on for Billy McKay. In the last minute Charlie Taylor replaced the impressive Aaron Doran. With the clock ticking down, Shane Sutherland should have secured the win for ICT. As he broke free of his man and ended up one on one with MacDonald, he appeared to slow down and under a challenge from the defender he sliced the ball high and wide over the bar and out for a goal kick. Fantastic defensive clearance by Shane. Full Time 2-3 Luckily that was to be one of the last kicks of the ball as Inverness held out deserved 3-2 winners. It was great to see Terry's famous celebrations again. It feels like it has been too long. Some of the Caley Away supporters made their way back to the Gary Warren Suite for some refreshments. We tried our best not to gloat too much. Back to winning ways. Back to second. Lets stay there. CapitalCaleys Man of the Match:- It simply HAS to be Gary Warren. Two great goals and another solid performance from him marshalling the defence. Aaron Doran and Nicky Ross are worth a mention as well for causing Hearts so many problems. 23rd Feb 2013 Scottish Premier League Tynecastle Stadium, Edinburgh Hearts 2 - Holt (55), Webster (74) TEAM: MacDonald, Mullen (Sutton 64), Webster, Wilson, McHattie, Walker (Smith 86), Holt, Barr, Tapping, Novikovas (King 72), Ngoo SUBS: Ridgers, Taouil, Prychynenko, McGowan Booked: Ngoo (1), Barr (52) Sent Off: none Inverness C.T. 3 - Warren (15, 77), Mckay (61) TEAM: Esson, Raven, Warren, Devine, G.Shinnie, Draper, Tudur-Jones, Ross, A.Shinnie, Doran (Taylor 90), McKay (Sutherland 79). Wasnt that long ago that Zibi Malkowski played for us a handful of times ..... 3 games in fact, all home ones. 2 games were against Gretna and 1 was against Aberdeen, and our crowds were : (H) Gretna - Lge Cup, 25/09/07 - attendance 1717 (midweek game) (H) Aberdeen - SPL, 21/10/07 - attendance 6023 (H) Gretna - SPL, 3/5/08 - attendance 3639 Our average Vs Aberdeen is 5670 although that has been dragged down in recent years as the attendances fall. In 2005-2008 our average was 6355. From 2010-2012 that drops to 4870 ...... We only played Gretna 3 times at the TCS. The 2 games listed above plus 3919 for a game on 5th Jan 2008 .....
