if you are using the stats on this site then no, it does not take account of penalties taken at the end of extra-time games etc as these are not "goals" as such. Our stats include appearances and goals from senior competitive fixtures only. ie. League, League Cup, Scottish Cup, Challenge Cup. It does not include friendlies, testimonials or any other "non-competitive" fixtures such as friendlies, reserve games, north cup etc.
  6. Captain - I am so with you on this that it is unreal. I have been touting this idea (along with club-centric commentary) for close on 6 years. As CaleyD has mentioned, we have also brought the idea up on several occasions more recently and it appears to be falling on deaf ears. I am not sure of any official reason why its not given any credence but my gut feeling is that it is all to do with money, a lack of technical knowledge on the part of the decision makers, and a reluctance to allow those with the knowledge and skills (not just me and/or CaleyD but several other fans who have offered expertise in this area) to contribute/participate. The money part I can understand completely. As we know, relegation caused a lot of issues with cashflow, and the Niculae debacle hasnt helped one iota either so the club are not in any position to be shelling out cash for a venture that might not turn a profit. HOWEVER, as I see it, the club are not being asked to do that. Myself and CaleyD have already offered to create (and host) a site separate to CTO or ICTFC.co.uk for free that is ostensibly a "joint venture" where the club requirement is to supply the necessary licenses or copyright permissions and our part is to supply the site and the technical expertise to make it happen. Advertising revenue should be able to pay for ongoing costs (and if succesful to eventually upgrade equipment - video software or cameras etc) and in the end it would be self-financing. If there was to be a small monthly charge, myself and Donald have already said we want no part of that income other than anything that would cover any costs incurred so it seems like a no risk venture to me. As far as I am concerned, Hibs Interactive is the model that ticks all the boxes. It is a fan/club partnership that started small on an independent website and is now very slick. There is no reason to suppose ICT could not do that. One thing I would like to point out however, is that as hard as it is to get some at ICT to climb on board with new ideas, its not a totally impervious brick wall .... we started doing the twitter thing and that seems to be going down well with some folk behind the scenes. I was a sceptic about twitter myself prior to using it for CTO but I think online match updates (or weekday commercial announcements) is a perfect use for this technology. Once the club get comfortable with that, then perhaps they will be ready to take it up a notch. Banter has been dead for a few months (since the end of the season). That is mostly my fault as I have had too much on my plate and havent chased up the club over emails I sent to them that were not responded to. I will send an email to Kenny this week and see if it is dead in their eyes or whether we can crank it up again ..... if we can, you can be sure this will be high on the list of questions asked.

  18. Whilst he may not be as fervent as all of us, I believe DFS does attend most home matches (not sure about away). I have bumped into him on each of my last 3 visits to the TCS. Regarding tickets, I am not sure what the arrangement is now, but when I was still in Inverness, I understand that he always paid for his tickets (or for his box / hospitality etc) at the start of the season. There are one or two that could have that charge levelled at them in the past :004:
  19. Thread closed at the request of the original poster ....... a case of "nothing to see here .... move along ......" :004:
  20. indeed. we will keep ... or eye on ... things ;)
  21. Matters not a jot .... if the club cant prove it, and they dont seem to be able to, then they will lose every time. The comments I am most interested in are the comments of our former chairman and major shareholder MONTHS before there was any transfer rumblings. It may all have been some p****** match with Mr Savage - who tokk MN to the club - but at the end of the day it backfired spectacularly and has cost us a fortune. When he (our major shareholder) came out and said we might not be able to afford the player, the "for sale" sign went up as far as I am concerned and evidently FIFA share this view. Whatever happened next is immaterial as that is when any transfer was "instigated". And if the club DO have anything up their sleeve ... waiting until the very end, as part of another costly apppeal/action seems stupid. Why not just blast it out of the water at the first step ...... and get on with things.
  22. Thats the line that does my head in ..... Mr Chairman, you can have whatever view you like, but unless you can prove it with some form of written document you are going to lose (again) and cost us more money. It doesnt matter what you think, its all about what you can prove and so far, Marius is more beliveable whilst you are spinning and twisting in the wind. Are you trying to bankrupt the club ? Why can you not just end this saga. FIFA have already basically told you that the comments of our main shareholder and our director of football sunk us both before any transfer ("we cant afford the player" long before any transfer and "Marius is due money" just after it). As I have said before, Marius may have instigated things in terms of which club he went to, but the former chairman hung a for sale sign round his neck many months before that ...... lets put this to bed and move on before we do actually go bust .....
  23. no appeal -- just makes it doubly hard to watch us lose to County when you make a round trip of 7000 miles !

To answer a few questions - Yes its the same Dichio. Not the most skillful player in the world but always gives 100%. A sort of striker version of Ross Tokely. He scored the first ever TFC goal so that guaranteed legend status and basically has a rapport with the fans that is something special. When he retired, he hired one of those planes that pull banners behind them and had it fly over the ground for an hour. - cost - no idea, both of the main supporters groups asked their members to cough up donations and most of us did. Overall, we made $1500 more in donations than the actual cost of materials so the remainder is being donated to a charity of DD's choice. - The banner now belongs to Danny .... not sure how he got it home though as it weighs 500Lbs

I just had to post this as it was awesome (and I contributed) !!!!!! TFC fans were upset earlier this season when Danny Dichio, who scored the first ever goal for TFC announced his retirement. Danny is a cult figure with the fans so we did something for him. The idea started out as a TiFO covering part of the south end (roughly the bit on the left where the picture of the player is) and quickly morphed into the huge 250 x 50 foot monster you see here ........
