  1. As I posted on the other thread ("who will replace...."), we need a manager to do the job he is employed for and that is not Brewster. I do not know who it is, but what little confidence I had in Brewster is now long gone. As a player - he was excellent, as an assistant manager ... who knows he might learn his trade, but as a manager at SPL level he has now failed three times. The first time, he failed the loyalty test both to fans and the club. His "loyalty" comments a few weeks before he buggered off was a hard one to take - just like Pele signing for the Dons. He then failed for a second time... failing the ability test at DUFC winning only 2 of 29 games in charge. Despite failures 1 and 2, we took him back - forgiving him somewhat for going to DUFC because it was his dream job in the same way that we forgave Robbo for going to his dream job at Hearts. Some even made excuses about his tenure at United and most made at least some allowances for the "difficulty factor" that seemed to be Eddie T and his revolving managerial door. He did begin a "rebuilding" process at DUFC - and I will admit that some players he brought in seemed to be of decent quality - but by the time Eddie T pulled the plug, the team looked dispirited, without leadership, clueless, and toothless in attack ... does that sound familiar ? Within weeks, Craig Levein had rebuilt confidence within the side and look at DUFC now .... a team that had been languishing in the bottom half of the table for several seasons suddenly back where its size suggests it should be and with many of the same players that Craig and managers before him had available to them. To use a baseball analogy ... Craig ... thats three strikes - you're out !!! (or should be)
  2. Being outside of the country, I am not really up to speed on who is doing well outside the SPL these days and although I would like Yogi for reasons mentioned in my earlier posts, its unlikely that any SPL manager would want to move to ICT as we are almost the "real" bottom club right now. Because of this, I cant really throw many names in the frame. However, I can add my wishlist ..... ... Someone with managerial experience, at a reasonable level but not necessarily in the SPL ... Someone who will get the players' respect because of what they have achieved as both a player and/or as a manager ... Someone with the ambition to succeed and the people skills to take fans, players and officials along on the ride ... Someone who is strong and will not allow outside interference to mess with the team structure If the pressure becomes too great on CB, and I believe it will, I just hope the board do not treat us the way they did over his appointment to replace CC. If you have already decided that someone needs to sew the initials JR on the managers trackie top then just come out and say it ... don't trot out some pie in the sky names. We have all seen the picture of him in Orion gear so it wouldn't surprise us one little bit and any delay or the usual (inept) spin would just be more "mushroom tactics" (kept in dark, fed on ****). note: I like JR and would give him my support but he is not the right choice IMHO. If on the other hand the board are going to actually look for a qualified candidate and pick the best man for the job then CC and the DOC will do fine until you have found him and there is no reason to delay the inevitable......
  3. He's got a plan for next week though .......... [attach=1]
  4. Right now ... almost anyone !!! Ultimately, I would like to see an experienced manager who can perhaps take someone like Barry Wilson under his wing as a future manager ..... If I could pick any other SPL manager, it would be Yogi !! He gets the craic and seems to do well enough on scant resources.
  5. You know what - if you had said that a year ago, two years ago or 5 years ago I would have jumped down your throat .... but today, I can understand exactly what you are talking about. I would normally be raging that I couldnt get the audio for the game - today, I went and made a coffee and listened to the open mic program every once in a while .... I have no confidence that we can win a game from now until the end of the season and that hurts. I have never called for a manager or any club official to be sacked in the 14 year history of this site ..... until now ! Oh well - The MLS season starts in a few days .......
  6. Maybe they are affected because of the unhappy/sh***y working environment :023:
  7. Yes - he HAS to go and he has to go NOW. none of this sh** about waiting till the end of the season ... it has already ended.
  8. you can say .... Mr Brewster ... it is time to GO.
  9. 1-1 Fraser Wright for Killie Incidentally, for anyone overseas that cant get the actual game because its blocked - try this page for the open all mics audio http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/s...res/default.stm plenty of Mr Bannerman today - 4 goals in Dingwall already !!!
  10. Black to take it (?) ..... scores
  11. penalty to ICT
  12. cant hear commentary (blocked) but managed to somehow get the 'open-mic' program and it sounds like we have made a bright start.

  14. could be !! According to our hosts as of about an hour ago .... "... The cluster is coming up. We?re spot checking and fixing troubled file, web, and mail servers. Most sites should be up. We?ll sound an all clear later. We will likely be firefighting for the next few hours ..."
  15. Pimple - please re-read the rest of this thread .... Dennis is the one who was trying to sign his contract, no agent delays, no pissing about by him, it is the club who are the ones that missed the meeting to get the paperwork done and the manager pulled the rug from under him a couple of days later. As I have said numerous times on this thread and others ... It matters not a feckin jot what your opinion is about whether Dennis Wyness should have had a contract or not, the simple fact is that he was offered one, agreed one, arranged to sign one, and through no fault of his own found that it wasnt available to be signed at the agreed time. fast forward 24/48 hours and despite everything being arranged/agreed .... the manager withdraws the previously agreed offer from him, but not from another player who he had promised to withdraw it from if that player hadnt signed by that weekend. Its a shocking way to treat anyone and Brewster has to go if he thinks that is man management. While we always mump and moan about something on here this is the first time in the 14 year history of this site that I have ever seen such a sizeable and varied group of people calling for the manager's head. We dont do that at ICT, we have never sacked a manager and we have (almost) always been happy with our board ..... until now. Time to go Mr Brewster, and to take any directors with you who think your man management style is working.
  16. :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
  17. That just doesn't make any sense in the context of what we've heard about contracts over the last few weeks. Brewster practically announced that Dennis was signing a two-year deal and Dennis himself was under the impression that everything was agreed. Also, Dennis was ready to sign the contract before Russell was so why wasn't his contract withdrawn? Exactly !!!!! (allegedly) .... The contract was agreed, only the formalities of signing it had to take place, the date was set for signing, the date was the day before the Falkirk game, someone from the club was not able to attend (for whatever reason) even though Denzil was .... then the contract is withdrawn 3 days later. If the saga had "dragged on", maybe the club should have turned up to sign it on the agreed date !!! What part of the club not turning up on Friday is Denzil's fault ? Why does he have to pay for someone else's failings ? Was he that bad on Saturday that a contract all parties had agreed to had to be withdrawn ? Its all a crock of s*** !!! Regardless of which camp you fall into with regards to contracts for certain players, the club, and its manager are a f***ing laughing stock with those who support other teams, and a source of grave concern for those of us who support ICT. This is not the way to manage people or to treat people and anyone at the club who thinks it is should resign now
  18. I always liked Kay Burley on SKY News for some reason ... and weather girl Lisa Burke is cute too but as I dont see much UK TV these days thats my lot really ...... As for American/Canadian TV - Emily Proctor and Khandi Alexander are the only things that make CSI Miami remotely watchable ... especially as Proctor's character is called "Caley" [but spelled differently] ....
  19. A very interesting and informative article with the man best placed - as the biggest shareholder - to actually be listened to when he talks. We can mump and moan all we like on here but we will never be more than a small thorn in the side of some people. However, Mr Sutherland has, in my mind, fired a shot across the bows and those who dismiss the fans as nothing more than plebs who should be grateful we are even in the SPL should pay attention. I also liked the bit that suggested he may be able to assist Clach in some way. Good on him.
  20. Last 3 seasons since DW came back ..... 21 goals in 80 appearances, Bayne - 13 in 86 ... but never mind, at least he's enthusiastic !!!
  21. Andrew - welcome to the site, you posted something I think will put a smile (irrational or not) on many peoples faces and I even chuckled at IHE's offer of professional help. Ina sea of darkness surrounding the club at the moment, this thread has meant I will head off to my scratcher for the night with a smile on my face
  22. it was a toss up between Feb8's Tulloch Castle post or this one as to what made me laugh most ...... this one gets it :rotflmao: I love your optimism, but top6 is blown .... we will be lucky to get 3 wins from the next 8 games, let alone the next 3
  23. let me have a look. If I dont have it then Les Kidger is probably your best bet as he will definitely have one and its likely to be better quality (resolution wise) than most that are out there on the net. edit: check your email. a couple of decent sized images with 300dpi resolution on their way to you.
  24. Ok. Can the grammar police go home now and let us get back on topic? I am happy enough that RD has signed a new contract, and hopefully he, the club, and his agent have let common sense prevail and come to a decent compromise. RD is not a world beater but when on his game can definitely be one of our unsung heroes ... especially if he can cut out the unforced errors. However, I am less happy with whoever has let it drag on for so long - be that the club for not making a decent offer or the player or his agent for holding out for something unattainable. We will never know who was to blame, or whether they all had a hand in it but it has all added to the turmoil we are seeing spewed out in these last few days, weeks and months. one 'problem' sorted, only 36543 to go !!!
