  1. Looks like Wattie has made up his mind ....... according to impeccable sources .... "At a meeting this morning Walter Smith asked to be relieved of his contract as Scotland's National Team Manager. This request was refused."
  2. eventually got it back just in time to catch the interview with CC - sounded fair enough, but I wish he would stop using "...a club of our size..." at the end of each interview.
  3. only thing that spoilt my day was the BBC cutting off the online coverage half way through. I can understand that games are subject to copyright, and maybe the first half of the Hearts game shouldnt have been broadcast on the main radio scotland site (as opposed to sportsound site) but couldnt somebody have thought to make the studio coverage they talked about available live on the internet .... there surely couldnt be any problem with copyright there ? Also, why o why did some bright spark not switch back to the sportsound programme at the end of the game so we could hear the reports ? Its more than 20 minutes after most gamers have finished and I am still getting the 'contractual' message - utter b0ll0x
  4. Think the 'shock' of the round is Killie currently losing 3-1 to Morton
  5. Deveronvale 5-4 Elgin --- thats some comeback !!! can they do it ?
  6. McAllister on for Bayne Morgan on for Wilson
  7. http://home.skysports.com/livescores/football/ - live score ticker Elgin were making a comeback at 4-2 but its now 5-2 to Deveronvale
  8. you are in the UK though Ross - I am not so its blocked :019: - hope they reinstate it at full time so I can record the match report !!!
  9. feckin online coverage which was working fine in the first half (apart from having to listen to the Hearts match) cut out and now gives the "...for contractual reasons ... we are unable to bring you this program ..." bull**** .... must have been a feckin quick contract if it was done between first and second half !!
  10. was just going to post that !!! :015: :015:
  11. BBC Scotland corrected themselves - saying Wyness and adding that Roy McBain has just scored the third so its 1-3
  12. BBC Scotland said Bayne now 1-2 , O'Brien
  13. Team lineups - a 3-4-3 for ICT by the look of it STIRLING ALBION [attach=1] ICT [attach=2]
  14. Spoilt for choice it seems .... My bet is on Ally McCoist for manager with Durrant as his assistant. Rookie manager McCoist would also have one or two 'old-heads' advising him. Failing that - what about Butcher who is reported to be ready to come back from Oz, or maybe IHE's favourite man, Richard Gough would like a go. In all honesty, none of them could do any worse than Le Guen who drove the final nail into his own coffin when he took action against Ferguson.
  15. Unfortunately an urban myth ....
  16. fair comment. although it may be an option to rest one or two players who have had a busy time of it over the Christmas period and give one or two fringe players a chance.
  17. Scarlet - you cant argue with that post ... one of the longest thats ever been on any incarnation of this site, and unlike some of our mini-novels [:004:] its one that makes a lot of sense with some reasoned thinking from a fan calling as he sees it. Clacher - I am still 100% behind Charlie, think he will overcome the recent slump and go on in the coming seasons to keep us in the SPL as proverbial mid-tablers with odd forays higher up the table (and lower down). However I am also realistic enough (most of the time) to realise things can also go the other way. As someone who is also passionate about this club - even from this distance - I can appreciate the sentiments and legitimacy in every word you posted. I agree that he is a rookie with a lot to learn and unfortunately I simply cannot fault the (frightening) accuracy of your arguments and their consequences if we were to go in the other direction. I hope you are wrong, but your argument is indeed a reasoned and well thought out one.
  18. Fraser Caff Dods Munro Sutherland McBain Duncan Rankin Hastings Wyness Bayne SUBS (5 not 7) Brown Tokely Morgan Wilson Dargo Think thats adventurous enough, and it can easily be adapted to 4-4-2 without using a sub or to 3-4-3 by taking off one of the midfield and throwing on Barry or Dargo so that Barry or Denzil can play behind the front two if things go really well :) ... and with the subs listed the team can be re-arranged quite easily if Stirling were underestimated !!!
  19. This is what GOOGLE MAPS came up with for the journey from IV1 1FF (Caledonian Stadium) to FK7 7UJ (Stirling Stadium) GOOGLE ROUTE TO STIRLING ALBION GAME
  20. From "Binos MAD" From the South: Follow signs for Stirlingfrom the M9/M80 Northbound. From Pirnhall Roundabout follow signs for Alloa/St Andrews to the 4th roundabout and then turn left for the stadium. General: On leaving either the railway or bus station head past the new Marches shopping centre, when arriving at the Craigs roundabout(a) negotiate the underpass and take the road signposted for Alloa(Kerse Road).Keep on heading up that road-straight on at the first round about(b)through the traffic lights©at the next roundabout take the first turn-off then the first road turning left-follow this all the way to the bottom where you will encounter another roundabout and wil be able to see Forthbank
