I got slated for starting a thread after seeing them all out on the night after a major game during our relegation battle which we lost. Just shows you how many people stuck up for them then when we were in decent form but now.......

Duff is out for the season Mantis. Which was bad before but now devastating given how poor Bulvitis has been of recent weeks.

Their start has been good, but they are only on 13 points. We have had a fairly poor start and we are on 9 points. If County are saying they are playing really good and are thinking of promotion already playing like this then I don't think it will happen. The point im trying to make is, we are only 4 points behind them and we are playing shocking at points. So when/if we do pick up form, it's not going to be too hard to catch up/take over the teams at the top. Provided we keep ticking along just now and picking up points (I know that sort of contradicts what I said in another thread about draws dont win the league).

We need to start beating the teams at the bottom of the league. You don't win titles with draws.

Me and Renegade would turn into a Dyer Bower from a few years ago at Newcastle :D . Something that really concerns me when tying to pick a team is the lack of defenders we have, mainly the CB position, I know Tokely can cover and Golly too. But a few suspensions, injuries to one or two players and we could really really be struggling at the back.

I agree with that. We should be scoring more than one home or away against teams like Airdrie. Or that's what I was thinking we would be doing before the season started. I thought with Foran, Rooney, Barrowman, Sanchez and Odihambo (obviously injured just now), at least the 1st 3 would be banging in at least 1 goal a game between them. It would appear we actually don't have that cutting edge just now, we don't have a player that's going to grab the games we are struggling in by the scruff of the neck and turn them around.

They have played us away and beaten us 3-1, outplayed us, looked fitter/stronger and looked like they wanted it more. Are we a "big team" in this league I would like to think so. I know your not ruling out County Kev but others are and I don't think we should, just because we hate them and they are our arch rivals. There is something there at the moment which we don't have.

Zander was never good enough for 1st divison/SPL football, I have said that ever since I started posting on this website. However our current crop of young talent are really good and the guys which have been kept on are rated highly by Butcher. I think if they could get Park, Ross, Morrison and Sutherland off to 2nd division clubs that would be quality.
