  1. Having been at such high profile clubs including Tottenham why is he now plying his trade at our low-key level? How much are we paying for these services? Folk can write anything they want on a resume. Proof will be in the pudding but I have a feeling like Crook this is gonna be a costly failure.

I've never really been a fan of the playoffs for the Premiership and after a long hard season the last thing a team finishing 3rd or 4th needs is to play 6 more games in 19 days to win promotion - that's just ridiculous.

Another example of how the top flight takes care of themselves and how it's weighted towards tv again.

Anyway as Satan says, one step at a time ..........................

If ourselves or ayr or united make it through the playoffs that will be two seasons in a row that it's worked for the championships sides. Remember the sides in the playoff spots are up on confidence the team in 11th in premiership has been getting battered all season so it's pretty even. Plus the extra revenues from gate receipts for these matches helps the coffers. Every little helps.

I can't help but think our hospitality is overpriced.  I think this game was £130 a skull - or at least £108?  That's a lot if you are taking guests when a lot of other things may represent better value.  Deduct your ticket price and you are looking at £70 a skull circa overspend.  The food, with respect, aint that good and whilst I get that we are helping the club, you still need to look at the cost.  If I was entertaining a client and took them to say Cafe 1 and spent that per skull?  All that aside, we have lost out on that for sure.  I remain to be convinced by the new televised games and the impact on gate receipts versus the revenue to be distributed.  Although I enjoyed the first 90 minutes of the Arabs v Stags game on Friday........

Cove in the highland league for a normal league match charge £75 +VAT (£100) for the same product.

they were as bad tonight as they were against us. what does that say about all the other teams in this league. the lack of real quality makes the division difficult to get out of.

Difference on Friday night was that they didn't get any help from the officials if anything utd benefited several times from dubious calls.

TV has a lot to answer for but not for this matter. The match would not have gone ahead on the Saturday anyway as the pitch was still sodden.

It would have been moved to a midweek date in any event. A solution might have been to discount the hospitality packages and advertise that fact widely including on this site but that would have involved communicating with fans which, as we know, this board seems to find bothersome and inconvenient.

The club would still have lost revenue on hospitality as the numbers dropped from sold out to 135 when it was switched for tv. And I'm sure attendance would have dropped also being on a Friday night for the original match rather than the Saturday. So tv interference has cost the club money whatever way you look at it.

You can blame BBC Scotland for that its weird kicking off at 7:05 on a Tuesday. The club advising that fans turn up early.

How did the club Used to manage every week with bigger crowds in the premier league ???????

  7. It's a disgrace when Trafford made his second tackle which tv highlights showed he got to the ball first and all the county players surround the midget ref demanding he be carded and he submitted to their demands. You know it's bad when Billy Dodds and Roy McGregor both say it wasn't a yellow/red.

Trafford was unlucky. It was a foul but never a yellow and the ref clearly knew that the ref was in the offing. We need a Scott Brown to wind up Draper. Can see Draper making it 10v10 soon.

Bet robbo is saying that in the changing room.

  9. Not only that but the club today have managed to have a pop at our own fans again after the county fans broke numerous seats during the irn bru cup final. And they wonder why attendances are dwindling? Why attend when the board see fans as a nuisance and potential trouble makers?

So Moray Jaggie you'd get in for £50 with your 3 kids unless you want the better seats. ?‍♂️

Love it how you think that's affordable for me plus travel and food. Not everyone is able to pay these prices. What stand have the SFA given us?

The post above stating that this is a marquee game is dead-on. If we play it at a "lesser" park then what on earth will the Englanders and the world think of our football game? More to the point, perhaps, what will fans throughout Scotland think is the level to which  Scottish football has sunk?  Hampden looks the part, is the part and provides the atmosphere  that is needed on such a special occasion INMHO.

If we can't get a good crowd at Hampden then let's ask the question..... is football dying in Scotland  (due to a lack of money or what)?

The last semi-final  we played at Hampden against Celtic was a super game filled with incident and excitement. I saw it because I phoned a senior staff member at Shaw Cable who provides our  home T.V.  service and said if you can get the game on a U.S. channel that I can access I WILL STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT YOUR POOR SERVICE FOR AT LEAST 6 MONTHS..... i.e Creative, like!

    IT WORKED,,,,,HA! HA!

What atmosphere will Hampden produce with 15000 in it? It will be a laughing stock to the English game when there is 35000 empty seats in a stadium our last semi final against Celtic looked pish on tv as there was thousands of empty seats. Hearts fans have also said they wont be going due to time and cost. Hampden isn't a great stadium having been to it many times it's crap. Now with stupid kick off time I won't be going with my three boys especially after the ticket prices they announced £75 entry plus transport plus food etc. They don't want fans to attend so ill oblige and watch on tv. A smaller stadium at a decent time would have been better. Better atmosphere fans can travel at decent times to get to it and at a decent cost. TV is killing our game and our semi final is proof.

I would have to say that while it is important to have a good team on the pitch (obviously), without having a good backroom staff to actually get the game on then the quality of the team is irrelevant. We need a full cohesive club structure from top to bottom with a proper management structure to create stability. Then and only then will Inverness have a club to proud of again. Yvonne's departure has highlighted this problem in great big capital letters and we need everyone from the youngest fan to the most senior person at the club to come together on this.

Players, board members and yes even fans do not understand the plethora of different roles and jobs needed to just ensure we are allowed to let people into the stadium and play a match.

And the whole key to curing all the ills as pointed out previously - GOOD COMMUNICATION

Your assumption fans don't understand the working of the club is a bit naive. I'm sure most fans understand that there is a whole host of backroom roles needed to make a match happen from safety, medical, turnstiles, reception, ticket office, shop, groundsfolk, hospitality staff, kit men etc. Her departure has highlighted she got rid of a lot of good folk doing these roles for her own benefit (hospitality). And good communication hasn't exactly been top notch in past few seasons now has it. Other than when the board is having a pop at its own fan base.

The problem is that options are so limited and Hampden is not a great venue. From an Old Firm perspective it is far from ideal as it only has a capacity much the same as their own home grounds. Other football stadia in the country can only hold just over 20,000 at most.   There is no ground with a capacity between just over 20,000 and 50,000.

As things stand The big two always play semis in their own city. I would like to see Murrayfield brought into use when they are playing or, better still, pack them off down the road to Manchester to an even bigger ground  so they can understand what travelling to a big game entails.  Can’t see the good folk of Manchester agreeing to that though!

Look at the outrage Celtic kicked up when They did have to play at murrayfield. Toys out of pram thrown came to mind.
