  1. Stranger things have happened, Marshall has been wanting first team football for years now and with Peter Grant at Norwich he might be swayed to sign permanentley, there are plenty of big teams sniffing about Boruc (he also made it clear when he first joined Celtic that his goal was to play in the Premiership). I think Broonie definitely has the ability but his confidence would be the issue not to mention his lack of leadershp in the box but these things can be worked on. Still not 100% this is true though

  3. I think everyone is forgetting how good a keeper Brown really is.. and at 25 he has at least 10 years of his best football to look forward to. I would like to know the fee ICT have settled on because it must have been fairly substantial to let him go half way through the season. He has been superb for us and who can blaim him for taking a decent pay check, Mike Fraser could turn out to be a much better player than Broonie, I'm just concerned who would back him up. Jon Smith is next inline I think and he looks even smaller than Broonie :010:
  4. Celtic have just sent Marshall on loan to Norwich because he can't get a game so I think this is extremely unlikely

  8. as a coach or player? :024:
  9. deja vu :029: Are you just going to keep spouting the same rubbish until you actually start to believe it?? Neither criticised the manager, only stated that they required first team football if they were going to stay at the club, while Dargo openly questioned the manager, which shows absolutely no respect. Wyness has been INJURED half the SEASON so can't really count the goals RATIO, and they have only played 4 times together as an upfront PARTNERSHIP and we have picked up 7 POINTS, which has kick started our SEASON! Before hand we couldn't buy a goal and were verging on RELEGATION.
  10. None of the above were given captaincy until they at least reached puberty and showed some loyalty to their club... if he shows he is going to fight for his place in the team then fair enough but right now he shows more intent in getting sent off it... I really would question Chistie's appointment if he made that decision.
  11. Interview Looking forward to his debut :003:
  12. Much prefer United :003: We're less likely to take the result for granted against United... should be a cracking game
  13. Notice the two players remaining on the shortlist both don't have contracts that the FA would have to buy them out of.... coincidence :024: I am very surprised that Moyes and Davies haven't been given more of a mention, Moyes especially, He's served his time at Everton and I'm sure he would be ready for the challenge if he was asked, obviously the SFA don't want to pay a manager out of a contract. We should be hunting for the right man, not taking whatever person is lying about doing nothing at this moment of time.
  14. Are you lot having a laugh The captaincy of a team should be the top honour at any club for hard work and devotion to the team... and you would give it to Black because it might make him grow up:010: :010: Black is like a spoilt wee child throwing his toys out the pram and you lot would give him the captaincy to keep him quiet for a while... he already thinks the sun shines out his erse as it is. Robson has responded to the captaincy at United because he is 28, and has had time to come to terms with his ego. I thought that people asking for Christie's job after the first game of the season was the most ludicrous suggestion on this forum but... Black as captain :015: :015:
  15. Anyone have an idea of the settlement fee?? Gomis went for about 10k to United so hopefully it is less than that
  16. no chance of that happening...
  17. ... but we've played better football this season when Wyness and Bayne have been paired upfront
  18. Who are you PLG?? A Captain is named in the team to be a leader on the park and help the manager motivate the team and give you a kick up the erse when necessary. I think Dods has done a fine job of showing commitment on the park (although not too much off it). 1) Wilson seems to be the wisest of our players and certainly has the experience to lead the squad 2) Tokely certainly shows his passion for the club and certainly leads by example, playing through and injury, 300+ games etc.. 3) Munro will be a captain eventualy but at the moment he doesn't play like a leader on the park but hopefully he wil step up to the plate when Dodsy leaves 4) McBain.. I'm sure Kencar would love reading this :016: Say what you like about him but I think he is looking more and more confident every game, covers every inch of the football ground, I have never once seen his head go down, model professional and obviously has a good relationship with Christie Questions would be asked if Black was made captain and what example does that show to the other players... act like a tit and you will be rewarded... not a chance!! :006:
  19. Wilson knicked infront of Langfield and Langfield just swiped the feet away from Wilson... stonewaller if ever I've seen one and Gerry McNee has the cheek to say that he never thought it was... infact every single point he has made tonight I have disagreed with
  20. ERSE How can he say that was not a penalty... does he have a clue??
  21. Broonie Tokely Dods Munro Hastings Duncan Wilson McBain Rankin Wyness Bayne
  22. He's been caught out with headers evertime I've seen him play at centre half, he can play as much football as he wants but defenders are on the team sheet to primarily defend. You never know, now that Dods is out the squad Munro might become the more dominant defender and Caff can pick up the pieces. If any player deserves a break in the first team it is Caff but I'm not sure he's 'the mann for the job' :016:
  23. I've not managed to see him yet but I've heard good things regarding Guy Kerr
