No wonder crowds are at their lowest... there are far too many rules these days, it's like being back in school! What's the point of being a supporting a team if you can't show your delight when your team does something amazing. We don't have masses of supporters flooding the field it is only a couple of guys getting a bit over excited... if they were thrown out the stadium I'm sure they would not do it again. I've ran on the pitch on plenty of occasions when we were in the lower divisions... 2 of my mates have even ran on the pitch at half time and taken a penalty into the bridge end goals, all harmless fun! Football is meant to be a break from reality and it just seems that they wont be happy until we are all super glued to our seats and only alowed to applaud at specific times. It has been well publisiced that one of my mates is due in court to face a banning order for over celebrating a goal at Tynecastle.... if he is charged he is going to be branded a hooligan for life!! It's all got a little too serious if you ask me...
  3. We are unbeaten in the last 6 games with Bayne & Dargo upfront, I like those odds! I wasn't at the game but did Wyness not play in behind Bayne & Dargo? I think in our home games Christie might end up experimenting with 3 upfront in a similar formation. Bayne is a forward while Prunty was a striker, Bayne is on the pitch to provide for Dargo and to grab the odd goal if he can. Dargo has scored more goals this season than he did at this point last term and Bayne has already showed killer instinct in slotting that goal away against Rangers... I can't see us agreeing on this but you are too quick to want him out the team when his performances don't justify being dropped IMO...
  4. in all fairness if Dargo picked up 1 or 2 of his head flicks then it would lead to something significant.... partnerships take time and I think Bayne and Dargo could be one for the future I have, and always will be one of Wyness' biggest fans but he was poor playing upfront with Dargo before his injury and with Bayne playing well he is going to have work extremely hard in training to dislodge him from the first team. Bayne has showed so far this season that he is at SPL level and with his height he is a lot more use to the team than Prunty was... You seem to be the only one that is doubting him and he is not going to be able get into double figures if he is sitting on the bench!!!
  5. I'll be there :003: :003: :003:
  6. Not to mention the players Pele bought that are no longer at the club the likes of Stewarty, Bobby Mann, Davie Bagan, Paul Sheerin & Kevin Byers have to be my favourites.... still think Sheerin could do a job for us even now!!

  9. honestly mate I'm getting sick of your Bayne bashing... are you Wyness, Wyness' mrs or has Bayne wronged you in some way??? If it is a physical battle we can expect then Bayne is the ideal candidate because he will battle and work for the team. I have nothing against Wyness but Bayne has done nothing to deserve being dropped and to have the option to bring Wyness on the park for the last 20 minutes of a game is a good one, as shown last Saturday!!

Someone please correct Rankin's name on this thread :015: To be fair to sophia I can see his/her point... Rankin scored 2 goals, which won us the match thus MOTM.... simple! Christie has obviously bought Rankin because he believes last season we didn't get enough goals from midfield and although he's had a difficult start to his career at the club everyone can see that there is plenty of potential there and it's down to Charlie & Parkie to get it out of him (also for the fans not to get on his back but encourage him so we can get the best out of him). At Kilmarnock he was one of the best players on the park but he needs to be given more license to push forward and that can only happen if we have a player in midfield doing his defensive work, at the moment Black needs to have more discipline with his positioning. If Duncan does play on Saturday we may see a confident & more attacking Rankin, which will hopefully lead to him bagging another goal... or 2 :003:
  12. I'd rather Brewster was made to endure the embarassment... Leishman, not to be sacked but to step back and replaced by Levein :004:

My posts are often noted for their pessimism but I give plenty of credit as well. Have a hunt around, I was able to find a few posts on Saturday evening that were plenty positive :003: Just because I don't laud everything ICT doesn't make me a boo boy. IMHO we were poor right up until about 70 minutes on Saturday. I will not overlook that and allow other things to gloss that over but that's just me. While at the game though I wil get behind the team. Shame so many other people felt the need to boo the team at half time when only one down and there was still another 45 to play given that we had just beaten Rangers the previous week :006: Now that would be a real boo boy. There is no fighting it RIG you are definately a Boo-boy.... :016:

Punching above our weight at the moment IMO, not because of our style of play but because of the size of our club. I think eventually we will be up to scratch but this wont happen until we get ourselves sorted outside of the football pitch, shop merchandising, stadium etc... standard of play though we have earnt the right to be where we are at the moment!!

Just seen the goals on Shitesport and to be fair to Rankin he couldn't have placed that 2nd freekick in a better place... just crept in the corner... quality handling from Higgins though :015: :015: :015: :015: First one was a cracking freekick though :003:
  17. crazy innit.... there obviously trying to be the Liverpool of Scotland
  18. :clapping04: I'd definately keep a back 4 but I think Rankin needs to be given more of a license to get forward or even have Wyness sitting behind 2 strikers with a holding midfielder.
  19. Ring of fire is a classic... should be played every week!!
  20. St Mirrens current place in the table reflects how good a team they are, this wont be an easy game! In a way St Mirren play a similar game to us, they are very strong defensively and counter quickly. Tokely will get an earfull of abuse from the St Mirren fans but Bullock the beast will be getting similar treatment from me. It might be a blessing having Black out the team for this one because it's the sort of game I could see him getting sent off in. They'll be right up for this I reckon and I hope we bring a good travelling support after our last 2 games because it may make the difference. I'd go: Broonie Tokely Dods Munro Hastings Wilson Hart McBain Rankin Dargo Bayne We have good options on the bench for this with Wyness back so would expect to see him on at some point. Looking forward to this after missing 2 of our best results all season, I'll be there as with the rest of the Ross Tokely Appreciation Society!! :003: :003: :003:

  22. Less distractions in Inverness, team spirit (judging by Bayne's interview), a good board of directors, an underdog mentality I think it is a combination of things but we obviously can't see the effort that is put in behind closed doors at ICT... I think having the right man in charge means a lot but also having no pressure or expectation from the fans and board helps alot.
  23. brilliant!! :015: :015: :015: Fair play Bayne that is a cracking interview Keogh - Oddjob.... class!! :015: :015:
