Changes in the 1st team selection needed. I'd bring Sutherland in for Foran and Tuffey in for Esson for the visit to Ibrox.

Clicked to open this thread fully expecting a discussion on the high and low points of Jon Bon Jovi's career. Disappointing. I still reckon we're finishing in the top six this year. I'll stick with my pre-season prediction of St Mirren being relegated and county being promoted.

Meh. You and your fancy-dan innovations. What's wrong with the Diggers? Hoping Daddy Stan will have a day off work and nappy duties and can meet us. Probably be heading through around midday or else earlier with Capital Caley and co, depending on work. I love Tynecastle, and have seen some of my favourite games there - the Cup win and the two 3-2 games (one win for us, one for Hearts, both crackers) - but if you look back at the history of the fixture there have been some really turgid games: loads of 0-0 draws and 1-0 defeats. Hopefully this will another of the occasional high-scoring games. Good stuff. Saturday can't come round fast enough. I'll phone you on Friday night to find out what the plan is then.

Since we have conceeded 30 goals in 15 games and not kept a clean sheet all season, I wouldn't be too confident!! Nor am I! But I'll have faith. Where's everyone planning pre-match? I'm keen on the Standing Order then a taxi to the ground.

A referee should never, ever reach for the red unless they are 100% sure. I noticed that the assistant running the line on the far side wasn't paying close attention to the play - highlighted by his lack of intervention in this incident. IMHO, Samaras should have picked up a yellow for his antics. And he should now do the decent thing - which would to pay for the appeal out of his own pocket. I'm sure he can afford it. No doubt 1K is peanuts to a guy on his wage.

I noticed this tweet from Richard Gordon last night: ?@RichardGordon48: No goals in 376 minutes for Hearts, the longest run for any side in the SPL so far this season. Even worse than Aberdeen, just! :-)? I'm hopeful their 376 minute period of no scoring is significantly extended. Can't wait for this one - tynecastle is probably the best away ground.

I got the impression that Terry Butcher had a conversation with a journalist who in turn turned it into a 'story', when I read it in the P&J I thought it was a pretty obscure piece at the time. On reflection I'm even more of that initial line of thought.

I'd like to see county in the SPL. I would miss the terracing though. I get the impression that a lot of county fans are not too bothered about promotion - unless it's us who are being relegated. Anyone else sense this? It's pretty obvious that they were going to set out to buy the league this year though. Bringing in SPL standard, experienced professionals like Fraser, Munro and Duncan was always going to be a huge boost. I think county will win the league and st midden will drop. Fingers crossed.
