  1. So why not Glasgow? There is a few there also
  2. That'll be David "diddy" Hamilton the former Radio 1 and 2 DJ from many moons ago.
  3. Hey Stirling is a nice city, Glasgow City centre and west end is nice. My 3 fav cities/towns in Scotland are: Inverness, Glasgow and Stirling in that order. I have the plesure NOT of working in Coatbridge ....it really makes apreciate my home town of Stirling "Stirling a nice city" yer havin a laugh. It was my nearest big town when I started going out on the pull and drinking. 20/25 years ago. It was a pit then and after spending the day there yesterday and the odd day over the years, I have to say, apart from Marches shopping centre, scewing about with road lay out and building a new train station, not much has changed. It is as dreech looking as ever, the shop assistants as dour as ever, worst accent in Scotland, peeing with rain, stinks of desiel fumes and no car parks open at night(that I could find). Almost as bad as the day I spent in Falkirk a couple of weeks back. It looks like they are still spending fortunes in Raploch, Cornton, St Ninians but it all still needs flattened and started again. Few years ago I stopped at traffic lights in Raploch and 2 guys tried to nick my van with me in it. I was glad to see they have built a road so you don't have to drive through Drip Road now. Its saving grace from a vote for worst dump in Scotland is Methill.
  4. 4 coming from Dewsbury. Use the winnings from Grand National today to pay for tickets and fuel.
  5. My 12 year old picked it also, put ?1 ew for him. That will pay for some of the trip to Aberdeen next week.
  6. Has to be Methill as worst town visited, depressing. Worst place I have lived its hard to choose between Aviemore and Dewsbury. Aviemore for the old centre(don't know what new one is like) and nothing happened. I know its supposed to be Scotland but, Dewsbury needs a mention for most of the people(loudmouth, chauvanist, racists, chavs) council is toooo PC and it looks dire.
  7. I did say it was only a suggestion. At the time I was certain he was at least a yard offside I was shouting as loud as anyone at the linesman. But looking at bbc highlights in slo-mo it was a lot closer than I first thought. Don't think it would have made any difference to result if it was given off anyway. we were so woeful
  8. This wee clip suggests Rooney was lying on the ground and playing Falkirk player on. The ref was still guff all through the game, missing countless shoves, bad tackles, a blatent corner that he gave goal kick. How the tent side lino missed the assault on Lionel
  9. Probably not a bad idea. Red card also for Caley Stan's mate Nicholas, who was at his 5th ICT game yesterday. He has now seen us lose 1-0, 2-0, 3-0, 4-0 and 5-0. Someone should call Norris McWhirter. I,ve got another jinks here. The future Mrs Dude has been to 5 ICT games with me in the past year. Lost the lot! As well as Scotland v Croatia, Draw. Dewsbury v Batley at rugby league, Lost. Horse racing at Perth and Market Rasen, couldn't pick my nose never mind a winner.(on-line betting, well in profit when she is not around). She is great at other things, .......eh wait a mimute I'll think off something.
  10. I have to agree that the players yesterday just were not up for it. 550 fans made an effort yesterday. Best support I've seen at a game ( didn't make Hamilton game) for a very long time and all we got was pish as a reward. ?60 in fuel, ?50 digs ?42 to watch ?30 munchies 5 hr drive up 5 hour drive home today. Do I feel cheated? If the players want people to follow and support them, they need to show the fans that they appreciate that support. A clap of hands at the end of the game is all well and good, but its effort, passion , a wee bit of skill, ie pass the ball to each other, don't knock each other off the ball, or tackle each other during the game, all these would say to the support, that players care as much as the fans. I was not convinced yesterday that they do. But I'll be back!! for more.
  11. I have all of the house stuff to do as I have my 3 boys living with me since split with ex wife. All the washing, cooking, cleaning, shopping house maintenance etc. Didn't notice the diffrence after got rid of her, she did b***er all when she was here, except spend the money! Kiltarlity, you are spot on with the shopping thing. I saved a small fortune when I took over the shopping. Its funny thing but I seen to survive fine without buying supersize bags of crisps, bags of donuts and bars of chocci and with own brands and cheaper cuts of meat you can still cook decent meals at half the cost.
  12. Going up for this game. Should be a bit feisty after yesterdays going ons. Should be a good week that week, Stuff Falkirk and Divorce finalised. Happy days
  13. How long until the "I told you so" comments start about Lionel?
  14. I had ?10 at 11/1 at Ladbrokes. Unfortunately I also had ?5 on Rooney to score first and ICT win 1-0 @ 125/1 Superb morning taking kids to school and seeing the few Rangers fans there
  15. I listened to Stan Collymore all week on the show. He has changed my opinion about him. He delt with a couple of subjects that were very close to him, Depression and Domestic Violence. His input was very enlightening. And many people called in to compliment him on being so honest and on the advice he gave. There were a few who called to slag of and insult him and he gave them their say also. That was a hilarious call though.
  16. barrowman has played at SPL level with killie, so i dont see how wood and him are on the same level. Wood is young and this is his first taste for SPL football, he has alot to learn and alot to give the club Rooney,Wood and Barrowman have almost identicall SPL records Wood 18 SPL appearances incl as sub with 2 goals Barrowman 24 SPL appearances incl as sub(incl 3 as sub with killie) with 2 goals Rooney 22 SPL appearances incl as sub with 5 goals They are all fairly close on the stats but I see Rooney as the one that gives us more of a threat and a harder worker for the team. TB seems to be happy with Imrie and Odhiambo so far but I'm sure Rooney will be an important player in the run in.
  17. i have loads of mates who support Rangers and never once have i heard any of them sing or even mention anything about Tommy Burns since his death if you have please let us know. you also mentioned "ha ha 66" i'm assuming this is in refernce to the Ibrox disater i may be wrong though but, I also have a lot of mates who support Celtic and never once have i heard them sing ha ha 66 or saw them wear anything with it written on it again if you have evidence to prove your point please let us know.
  18. It wouldn't bother me if it was Celtic,Rangers, hibs, hearts Dundee Utd. Any fans who use the songs that have been described as sectarian or racist should render the club liable for punishment. The songs that are causing concern are diffrent to the folk songs you mention. The songs causing concern have been deliberatley written to abuse people from southern Ireland(are those from the north allowed to stay?), Jock Stein's Family and catholics in general. There was also the song that they sang when Tommy Burns died. Celtic are just as bad, The fans wearing "ha ha 66" for example. Singing Rule Britannia and replying with "wha widnae fecht fur Charlie" I see as good old fashion banter. Famine song and ha ha 66 is just downright sick and has no place in society never mind a football ground
  19. Its reassuring to see the mods take one of the more disturbing traits of Scottish football so seriously I take it, next time someone like BNP comes on here spouting their filth, it will be ok
  20. While I agree with your sentiments and I would love to see both of the old scum fined, banned, loose points etc, as they are by far the worse clubs when it comes to racist and sectarian abuse. But it is not only them that are guilty of this. There are more of these fans and they are on TV every week so they are heard worldwide every week. But amost every club in the SPL (including ICT) and some in SFL have their own low life scum that sing/chant/post on forums/show banners of abuse. The same that you hear coming from the old scum. The SFA,SPL and SFL know it goes on. The Clubs, fans, stewards and Police know it goes on. And dispite thousands of people every week singing, shouting, posting the racist/sectarian abuse to each other, it is so rare that anyone gets arrested, its in the news. Nothing will be done about the latest nonsense. Just like nothing has been done about any other club doing it in the past. If the authorities won't punish any of the small clubs who's fans are guilty of the abuse. There is no way on earth that the old scum will ever receive any meaningful punishment.
  21. Now, I don't want to appear thick or anything, but, Why do we need a "headhunter" on the board? Who's head are we hunting? Who's, if any, heads are going to roll? Are the board bringing someone in to look at replacements for themselves? If they just wanted a season ticket holding fan who goes to away games, to help them make a few decisions, I'm sure the current board shouldn't have to look further than some esteemed contributers to this forum.
  22. Levein just been on Talksport and says snow all gone from the pitch but it is a very heavy pitch. As in very wet. Says game definetly on
  23. If you were sober and drug free you would most likely not purchase any dodgy gear. But, if you look at cigarettes for example. They would come under your criteria for " high quality substances which were guaranteed to be of a safe standard checked by official controls" They can be bought on black market at many pubs, markets, streets, work place etc, and they can contain any carp, at very much reduced price compared to the shops. The same would happen with ecstacy. People looking for or being offered some ecstacy in pubs and nightclubs would almost certainly not look for the quality control sticker when offered a "bargain" that could have anything in it. Or indeed not have anything in it.
  24. I was recently in a Pakistani run curry house in Batley. To cut a long story short I ended up being called a " fu****g Scottish ars***le ,a Scottish ba****d" by a fellow customer who took offence to me complaining about hair in my meal . The pakistani staff didn't feel that I had been racially abused when I asked for the guy to be removed. So in answer to you question NO
  25. He is a bit of an **** and a *******, that is why he shouldn't be taken so seriously.
