  1. Lets give Butcher some credit - he delivered big style at Ayr - even if he does seem to get all his ideas from us. To me Foran summed it up by saying that the team dedicated the performance to the gaffer. It shows that Butcher still has the dressing room - and that is a big, big plus.
  2. I would go as far as suggest that Butcher simply cannot / should not change anything from yesterday. But my look at the formation was: ESSON ROSSCOE GRANTY BULVITIS GOLLY PROCTOR DUNCAN SANCHEZ IMRIE FORAN ROONEY Same tactics as well please - I feel sorry fer Hayes and Cox but they will have to wait their chance - the good thing is that we have two reseves worthy of being replacements - plus Eric.
  3. Another fine away day with the ICT. :D No point in doing the smileymometer as everyone gets at least four points and I will give five to Foran and Imrie - but Tokely, Proctor and Sanchez were close. Wasnt it great to have so many positives: Found a brammer of a pub in the Black Bull - and the new stiffy is the Jaffa Cake - almost on a par with the Cheeky Beastie. What a difference to the vocal support when the MOB turn up - amd less of the dodgy goatee please. Butcher plays a formation / selection which went fer the throat and certainly killed the game off within half an hour. Even the Esson blunder was swept aside and we just kept going forward - I know that Ayr were poor but fer fecks sake - That is as good a 30 minutes from ICT as I have seen fer a long time. We bossed it, played them off the park and finished them off - and then kept going - it could have been 8 or 9. Tokely went forward more than he has all season - it appeared that he was given the forward permission and Golly the defensive - excellent. And Tokely and Imrie play so well with each other. Munro and Bulvitis were strolling. Proctor ran the defensive midfield - Russell strolled through it even if he didnt look 100% fit. Sanchez was like - Foran was so much more effective and Rooney - albeit his holding needs improvement - lead the line well and deserves a run - plus the goal must have given him confidence. Lets hope that this is a turning point that we can build on - but lets not get over expectant - 1-0 against Morton will do - but if we play like this again it is another 5 at least.
  4. May the best sheep shagging nation win.
  5. alright mate. here is the addy 4 the black bull - 22, River St, Ayr, KA8 0AX see you there don't know if saints supporters are allowed in a place with bull in the title. ps i had saints 2 win the GF!! Cheers - fraid that I watched the debacle from the Stretford End !!
  6. All I need now is for the ineffectual Clockwork Orange to praise me fer yet another positive comment. B)
  7. Do you live in DOHa, Catarrh ?
  8. Yip - I have met a few Germans who I thought were on the wind up about the facilities at their clubs and their involvement but it is evidently true - and look at the entrance prices, the standing on the terraces and the singing sections / banners etc. The only thing that worries me is the disappearance of two Hamburgers at a conference attended by Caley D ??
  9. Like yourself - I wish that it could be that simple !!
  10. Captains are usually picked on the training grounds and often the selection of the players. Grant has had little stability in regard to defensive partners since Dods departed. Just look at the names who he has been partnered with and think about it. And he has the undoubted experience of "minding" Jimmy Zadi to boot. Well done Grant Munro - hope I will still be around for your 600th - for ICT in the SPL.
  11. At least Man Ure will be able to sneak in at least one Liverpool Bech Ball - he has No 8 on his back. ;)
  12. Careful - many of the posters on here will be confused by that - some of the coaching staff may be as well. You play to your strengths and try and exploit the weaknesses of the opposition (if you watch them !!). I feel that we will always reap dividendes by playing on the break away from home but we really do have to adopt a more attacking. more "carefree" approach at home. Stan alluded to the 4-2-3-1 away formation and that sounds like an option - and could also work at home in the SFL - that would certainly bring along a bit of consistency as well.
  13. The original takeover thread was moved.
  14. This is also a real test of the "Butcher Factor" - He is a manager under a bit of pressure and the next four games should show if a) he adapts the tactics to suit ;) he displays the charisma to inspire the players and even woo the support and c) the players "die" for him if not the shirt. The muppets cant afford to hoof him but Terry can win back the support - good luck to him - and lets face it..it is dooable.
  15. Do you mean that you would find it difficult to replace a Cox with a fanny ?
  16. God bless the muppets.
  17. Almost full up - Who is in the know ??
  18. Oats - ya have to go to Dungwall with the ICF (give me a pm) - and Yorkshire boys - let em know who you are at the pub by the Travel inn - I will be in a kilt !!
  19. If you stop in Pitlochry ya will not be going any further - and if a Limo goes past - there will be no room with a Fat Controller already in it.
  20. With George Fraser (Retired ROK Director) having recently joined the Tulloch Board, then you can be pretty certain Sutherland has something up his sleeve. Now - just think about that a little bit longer - look in to the stars !!
  21. I am actually finding this thread incredible - all of this was evident yonks ago - I have been saying most of it from the off and most, if not all, of my fiercest critics are now on board - when will the muppets ever be found out. Marius is in the rite - ICT have fecked up - we are shipping euros by the minute - and all this off field nonsense is having a REAL NEGATIVE effect on what we are doing to stay alive in the SFL. THIS IS NOW BECOMING INCREDULOUS !!!
  22. Good shout Stan - those years of shadowing me are paying off
  23. The cells in Ayr are pretty decent. I am staying overnight and on the feckin lash :)
  24. Fer fecks sake if we dont get 8 + out of that lot we may as well give up - We should be looking fer 10-12.
