  1. Brewster will relegate us. :018:
  2. BUT away from home in previous seasons we have played to our strengths - rarely changing a system of either 4-5-1 or 4-4-1-1 - a solid defence and pace on the break - plus real danger from set balls. At times it wasnt the nicest of football to watch but it was highly feckin effective.
  3. John Robertson / ANOTHER with Darren Huckerby as an assistant player coach.
  4. Yes - I would have to concede that - by the way I was sitting behind Marius's brother at the game - He hardly feckin moved and was very sluggish when leaving at half time and full time.
  5. Feck me Richard - it was a flashback - It was frankie feckin Watt. :rotflmao:
  6. Well I would have blamed Marius otherwise if not. I would love to know the observations of others at the game. But Marius and Rory started off by playing high and almost 5-10 yards apart - but that suited Niculae. Rory gave him much needed space and he used it very effectively. Imrie also looked good hugging the touchline. To me that was Marius's best 15 minutes of the season. He ignored Brew shouting twice but then jogged over and practically went into a deep left midfield position and Imrie switched inside. WTF ?? And Marius was covering at left back when Falkirk got the second - I also felt really sorry fer Marius and Cowie cos thay made some great runs and got - yeah feck all. They did play the ball about but like a midfield of Ray Wilkins - they got a feckin nose bleed when they got in the last third - apart from Wilson - although Imrie did try to attack.
  7. I am reliably informed that Watt will play next Saturday.
  8. Have to agree to a point but Brew picks the system, formation and tactics and certaily away from home it has been totally feckin awful.
  9. :rotflmao: Now I have got yer attention. :001: Marius looked "class" fer 15 minutes - great touches, great passes, in the danger zone, lay offs to Rory - who was getting under his feet - then Brew and Malky shouted Marius over and clearly told him to start playing deep and left - almost in a midfield role initially. The he continues to let Rory take the main role !! iMarius simply "died" out of the game. I so wish he had 90 minutes to show his paces. But did Brew stop there - did he feck ? For a start why did he feckin play Rory up front - Bayne and Niculae were the obvious pairing. It is bad enuff with one slow player with little movement - far less two - and Falkirk are a team that need harrying at the back. Apart from dead ball situations or crosses we never troubled them and they had all the time in the world. For 15-20 minutes in the second half they were playing like a training session. And what about Cowie - where the feck was he playing ? And Imrie - starts off wide left - OK - but then he moves inside AND inside Niculae - and then in the second half he plays right midfield and Cowie goes to the left. :029: And although Black had a shocker - he was practically looking after the middle of the park by himself in the first half and chasing shadows when they were in possession. So in regard to Marius and Rory: was it a) tactical ineptitude ? b) giving Rory experience whilst "protecting" Marius c) testing out next season in Marius's absence.
  10. I reckon I know how to slow them down. :001:
  11. Tactically we were inept - but like alimici said it was a world waway from the Tynecastle performance - although we were always going to be second best. Ya cant have a go at any of them for effort put AGAIN our away system was feckin totally wrong. As we started I actually thought - well 4-4-2 and the team didnt look too bad - apart from the idiotic idea of pairing Marius and Rory. :029: So this wek I am going to try and put some positves into it. FRASER :001: :001: :001: Woefully exposed at times and his old kicking "slice" came back on a few occasions. TOKELY :001: :001: :001: Also left a little exposed but defended well with one great, mazy run which ended up like the John Smiths dive. :rotflmao: PROCTOR :001: :001: Some great tackles and was at least willing to play the ball out on the deck. But why is Brewster perservering at playing him at centre back - that quite clearly isnt his position. HASTINGS :001: :001: As ever sound defensively but 95% hoof otherwise. MCBAIN :001: :001: :001: :001: Got loads of space and almost ended up as a winger in the second half - and waht a volley that hit the side netting. Has done enuff to keep the left back position - unless Brew feckin changes it !! BAZZA :001: :001: :001: :001: Edged Royster fer MOM - Still a bit of a luxury away from home but was the one player who looked like really troubling the Falkirk defence. Well worth his penalty goal - although he should have scored in the second minute. BLACK :001: I suspect Black did not like the role afforded to him but he had a shocker. COWIE :001: :001: :001: I feel dead sorry fer Cowie - can someone tell me where he is playing - I shure as feck dont know and does he ? Loses out when Wilson is there and I think he should be played as the new Bazza. When he gets into forward positions he looks very dangerous - one great shot, after a bit of Niculae magic - brought out a great save. IMRIE :001: :001: :001: Cant call the lad fer effort and another who was fecked by the tactics - but how many feckin positions has he played in since he joined. He is a feckin left midfielder fer fecks sake. MARIUS :001: :001: :001: For 10-15 minutes I thought that we were going to get a really class performance. He was playing right up front, he was spraying lay offs and passes all over the place - I even stood up and clapped one brilliant through ball which was chipped on the outside of his left foot. And then BREWSTER fecked it - as I will explain on another thread. RORY :001: :001: Similiar to Niculae as he lopes around and looks as if he has little pace and slow movement - but he doesnt have the experience, the touch, the positioning etc.,etc. DUNCAN :001: :001: Usual contribution. BAYNE :001: :001: Should have been on from the start. VIGURS :001: :001: :001: Now I like the look of this lad. AND WHAT ABOUT LATAPY - The man still oozes class.
  12. :rotflmao: Stain Midden or the Euros - No feckin choice there.
  13. My sporran will be my sponsorship bag next Saturday - IF I feckin make it I will be thrusting maself in your direction - put yer spondoolachs in ma pouch - tell me who you are - and I will lay off ya fer a week. :001:
  14. Well _ I should feckin well think so - after all Robbo is going to be our next Director of football.
  15. We never accepted the Jeggie cnuts - we were forced into it but we have learned to tolerate the bestards.
  16. I know I said on another thread that it was my last dig at Marius...but I can't help myself as I'm obsessed That wasnt a dig. Do you think that their levels of performance has merited the call ups ?
  17. Sorry I thought that you were referring to pubs - I always preferred the Thistle to the Caley.
  18. Strangely enuff - so do I. Marius can only improve but it is highly dependent on whether he makes the squad or not. It would be his "lifeline" to move on to a higher plain (a mistake IMHO). This is in fact a shame as I find myself torn between wanting Marius to be shunned and play fer ICT or far Marius to be picked and probably leave. :024: But how he has got himself into the reckoning, based on performance, simply beats me - unless the strong rumour of the Orion "swansong" was true ? We shall know tomorrow then ?
  19. Rory does not appear to have the required pace or movement - I think he does show the ability at times but I am surprised at his inclusion. But isnt it strange that our two "internationalists" are Rory and Marius and that many of us are puzzled by their inclusions - on the grounds of performances. :024:
  20. :018: Not another Marius thread - Some posters on here as just feckin obsessed. But we all know what is going to happen. :023:
  21. As I said before - this was an exercise to try and get peeple to understand what is a wind up and what isnt. :029:
  22. Ya should be more resolute. :018:
  23. Some of us actually have a life to live and can't waste every spare moment waiting for someone to reply to my inane ramblings. But nice to know that I have got under your skin. But you only respond to me these days - pity as you were one of the better posters.
  24. Get real - if you were forced to stay in Elgin and got a reprieve you wouldnt feckin go back.
