Raith Rovers -V- ICT : matchday thread
IMMORTAL HOWDEN ENDER replied to Scotty's topic in Caley Thistle
Today was my first ever Caley game and I had great craic. Cheers to the fellas who invited me to sit with them for second half. The Fire drill chants were great, but wasnt there another guy singing something not everyone knew. It was a leeds song. Marching on together We're gonna see you win Na na na na na We are so proud We shout it out loud I.......C.......T ! Was he a Yorkshire Pudding ? -
Not the first to say that about Sanchez and Eric - I found it strange that TB preferred Eric yesterday as I have always felt that Sanchez is far more effective away from home - that may be a statement of intent by TB as Eric has never had a run in the team to look at what he is capable of. TB has to make it evident who is in the first place. Given his choice of Eric yesterday I will go fer the same again. I hope that he plays Foran wide and plays Eric on the shoulder of Rooney - as I feel that is the type of forward that we and Rooney have been missing at home. As fer renegade - he is the armchair manager comparative to jimmy zadi as a footballer.

Yes - I would actually agree with that - but the interest of the club at heart - answer yes and no - and perhaps no businessman goes into any deal without looking at what is in it for them and/or protecting their investment. I am not surprised that Charlie B has sat in the wings as the hints to the ownership are clear in "Against All Odds" - just read between the lines. It is clearly in the hands of lawyers now and the silence is acceptable in the legal and business sense - but come on - we all know the answer to "Who owns the Stadium ?" - why do you think that it has been so cleverly concealed. I get slated about the muppets but I am sure that Grasser does have the club at heart but he is now in a no win situation which he should have removed himself from many moons ago and is now as cemented as a Tullochs foundation. I am sure that most of the Board have the club at heart as well but are now in the realms of a secret society and a self Preservation Society - which of course divides itself from the fans. So I dont call them Muppets for the above - I call them Muppets for the amateurish, selfish, reactive and chaotic manner in which they have ATTEMPTED to run this club into the ground over the last 2-3 seasons. They have been inept and the creators of their own demise and/or anger of the fan base. They have made ridiculous footballing decisions, they have stuck by the unstickable and cast aside the faithful - in a retaher cruel and despicable manner. They have told "white lies" left right and centre and have not had the guts to admit the truth when they were caught out - So will they ever change with that in mind. Why doesnt DS simply throw in the towel ? - Love of ICT ? Self preservation ? Or perhaps the skeletons would fall out of the cupboard ? And finally - they owe a big debt to Butcher as he is the character - both on and off the park - that has saved their erses. Lets hope he has armoured pannelling on the back of his vest but he has the backing of the majrity of the fan base and beginning to pick up on the park - which makes him unsackable and/or indispensable at the moment really.

Yip - The Tullibardine distillery. -
Personally I would love to see Butcher stay as well - not so sure about Misspass but if ya want Tel MM is part of the package. And I suspect that they will be - put it like this - if you were the leading light in charge of a club and under signifcant pressure from the fans - and you had a few pennies - maybe not to spare but to protect your "investment" and hold off any predators in the wings - what kind of thing could you do in order to appease or at least hold at bay the "baying" fan base. The only slight problem is the Marius Niculae monies - our lot appear to be wholly overconfident that they are going to get out of this relatively unscathed - many of us know that a certain sum is under the mattress - but I have been informed this morning that the SPL / SFA - would ya believe it - are apparently bankrolling some of the main monies as they - would ya believe it - feel a degree "guilty" as ICT apparently pass this through the SPL / SFA legal system. So the sum under the mattress - hidden away in the accounts of time - may actually suffice. If it does then announcement of extra monies to save the club will be forthcoming - with the managers and players contracts at the front. Perhaps the muppets aint been so stoopid after all - careless and shamateurish - and are to blame for the debacles of the last 2-3 seasons - but perhaps they are learning - FROM US.

Thank feck Golly is back but why but Zadi on the bench - that is a real attacking looking line up - with six defensive and five attack minded players - lets hope its like Ayr away was. -
So ICT have a poof leading our defence at the proof whilst Marius has a prof. Yet another goof and I thought that I was to long in the toof to hit the roof. Are you sure this isnt a spoof and Marius is just being aloof and uncouth or will ICT get the hoof after the press hear the truth - WOOF WOOF

That thought went through my mind as well. A policeman, ultra reactionary, person named Ross. Hmm who could that be? I am reliably informed that it was PC Ross County and renegade is a WPC.

Thats feck all compared to the mighty Caley . 17 times Highland League champions , 5 times Highland League Cup Winners , 14 times Scottish Qualifying Cup Winners and 21 times North of Scotland Cup Winners . Spot on - plus the Howden Boys always ran the Staigo - and look at the Hellgin now. :) -
Jimmy Zadi improved for a few games and then went back to being worse than last year.

I heard that Branson was interested but the Trades Description peeple said that we couldnt put Virgin on the front of our shirts - cos we get fecked too much.

Beware the Ides of March! Julius Caesar / David Sutherland was said to have been assassinated on this date in 44 B.C. / 2010 A.D. by followers of Cassius and Brutus / Caley D and Alan Savage. In Shakespeare's / Bannermans' play, Caesar / Sutherland, betrayed by his friend / ememies, dies with the words, "Et tu, Brute? Then fall Caesar!" / "theres only one Craig Brewster". Perhaps the trust could organise a Toga party

The Scotsman Sutherland interview.
IMMORTAL HOWDEN ENDER replied to acharacleoracle's topic in Caley Thistle
Fair comment and I agree that answers should be given pronto. Perhaps I should start a thread entitled "The Excluded: I Wanted To Invest But He Wouldn't Let Me". This would give all those would be white knights the ideal platform to enlighten us. I get tired of the "he would do this" and "he offered that" nonsense and just wish that same levels of scrutiny that we rightly demand of our custodians was applied to those would be suitors and their stalking horses. Most of the feckin answers have been posted fer feckin months - If I would invest I would want peeple running the feckin club who were clued up about running a football club and didnt look after the chosen ones and spoke to the fans and werent feckin muppets. -
Oh come on peeple - this is yet another erse up by the muppets and their puppets. They are the cnuts who encourage polis and stewards to pick on the Section G and pinpoint anyone who they dont like.

Nice to see some historians on here !! Scotty - I feel that you summed up the history lesson well. Lets face it Sutherland's money went a long way to keeping this club alive - but there was clear personal reasons for that. Until we hit the SPL most things in the garden were smelling of roses - but then the naeivity and amateurness of the people in control have produced a constant manure odour. Unfortunately the main muck spreader is spreading even more dung in order to keep some gardeners from bring the Dump back to life. As per usual I expect that many will only believe these words in a couple of years when it all comes to light - as always seems to happen.

Personally I feel that the better teams have always had a mixture of experienced pros, good buys and a smattering of local talent - especially in the squad. That is consderably more required and/or acheivable in the SFL and even in the SPL. -
The only good thing is that Mr Sutherland will put his hand in his pocket as he simply has to save face and keep other suitors away from the Dump. This could be our next sponsor logo:

Yes - I am afraid that Marius took me to court - in regard to yon word I used - also a past reference to County fans. I am glad to say that we shook hands and the judge decided that in future qypsyies are to be merely referred to as Caravan Utilising Nomadic TravellerS - Initially I agree with that. David Sutherland - Beware the Ides of march.
