  1. Aquifer treatment facilities can actually be quite picturesque. Could you just see this beautiful silhouette at the Away end.
  2. And we still only managed 5 points in the first three games.
  3. Alan Hansen in disguise ?
  4. I think that Mantis was making the comparison with the 2009-2010 becos of what happened by the end. ?
  5. And I for one blame the Board for yet another astonishing decision in denying CaleyD the opportunity and there is nothing about this on Social Media either. ?
  6. The decision as to who takes the penalties should be clearly decided BEFORE kick off. So it was clear that Welsh was the first choice. Well there should have also been a clearly designated 2nd and 3rd - and if anybody pisses that about then the captain should be in there sorting it out. As for captaincy Tremarco was the firm fans favourite before the start of the season and also the players choice. It doesn't matter where you play to be a captain. Most people would prefer a defender
  7. If you were going to be critical Ridgers is dodgy on the cross ball and prefers to stay or punch. Could be a lack of confidence in that area or he has chosen the European style of goalkeeping. He is however one of the best keepers in the league but that aspect should be the training ground focus. Nobody is perfect and there is always opportunity to improve.
  8. Spot on RIG. We may well have NOT got as many points if Robbo had gone down the "chop and change" route - as we have tried in previous seasons. You pick your starting first eleven in your head - you have to stick with them for the first 3-4 games (a bit like Fantasy Football) - you then give some playing time to the potentials on the bench - that should put pressure on everybody - those playing to play well enuff to keep their places and those coming on to impress. Then after a few games - which is probably NOW - you start looking at 1-2 maximum changes per game.
  9. The Environment Agency considers a wide range of different measures to address the flood and coastal erosion risk to communities and property. The measures needed for each location are considered on a case by case basis. Some of the measures that may be considered include: building flood and coastal defences flood storage reservoirs land management portable defences
  10. It is always harder to play against 10 men; We were drawn into being over confident when we perished the opening 3 fixtures; We have finally unearthed a penalty taker; we remain unbeaten in the league; we are making chances; we have a better squad and changes are easier to consider or make; we are a better team away from home; looking like a league where many are capable of beating each other and there will be no runaway leaders - "Always look on the bright side of life"
  11. That is what I was feckin referring to fer years
  12. Here is the map of proof Mantis:
  13. At least he wants to be a proud bird instead of a prickly weed.

  18. This phottie could actually be the last time that I saw Alloa Athletic !! I did drive up for the game at Alloa that was cancelled at the last minute. I can remember it being the sunniest day of the year.
  19. Great story givemeacccc - The only person that I can recall in my teenage years was good old Tommy C - pictured with his Groundsman of the Year award. Perhaps Jan Gneba deserved one in the 60's ?
