  1. Like CC said at the weeekned - every team is looking for a prolific striker What we really need as a LEFT WINGER :014: Sheerin is still playing well but like Wilson he can't last 90 minutes anymore
  2. Unless he gets better service he isn't going to be able to score. Simple fact I doubt many people would be able to explain why he is constantly subbed. He is obviously our most potent goal scoring threat and he has a bit of pace about him as well. Not really providing him much incentive to resign either :006:
  3. Looking to a 40 year old to save us now :015: No Thanks!!
  4. Sorry CaleyD I usually agree with the majority of your comments but there is NO WAY Bayne could/would/should play behind a front 2. Agreed he puts his heart and soul into every performance but that has to be to make up for his lack of basic footballing skills. He has very poor control, can't pass, he has poor positional sense and isn't even that good in the air. He does work his socks off though and I wish that work ethic would rub off on some of our other players
  5. In response to Harry Chibber I have to say you only got about 1/2 your comments about our team right. Munro - "decent enough" - apart from when he tried to pass the ball more than 10 yards!! Hastings - "Caught out of position all game and gave the ball away anytime it landed it at his feet" - apart from 1 big mistake in the 2nd half he was MOTM. It has to be a concern when your biggest attacking threat is your left back Black "can't fault his effort but constantly gets caught out of position... was probably one of our best today though" - He was poor today and has been pretty much all season. Rankin has received dogs abuse for some of his performances but I haven't seen anything from Black to suggest he is any better McBain "Considering he has not been my favourite player this season he was one of our better players today." He did nothing of merit today - he never does yet he is always in the team :008: Hart "Looked sharp whenever he got the ball, obviously desperate to get a start in the team and hopefully will get a chance next week." He touched the ball maybe 3 times and did feck all. Still he's worth a start instead of Mcbain :008:
  6. Macdonald ran the show - again. say what you like about him but I think we'd all want him in our team
  7. We could have the best strikers in the world playing for us but if they got the service provided today I doubt Pele could have scored for us :009:
  8. Thought he was lucky not to be sent off - maybe it wasn't as bad as it looked? :023:
  9. You've missed out the most obvious player Roy Mcbain :008: It's like starting with 10 men He contributes nothing. More often than not he goes backwards or sideways. He can't takle. He has no positional sense. I used to think he looked out of his depth in the 1st division so how he starts week in week out astounds me.
  10. I'll be interested to hear what he says about todays game
  11. Heard he's handed in a transer request Will it be Celtic, Rangers or down south that he heads?
  12. I'm afraid I have to agree. The Home supporter has been treated to VERY poor displays this season, apart from the last 20 minutes against Falkirk. We aren't playing well at home and we seem if anything to be getting worse. I had to laugh at the tannoy announcer trying to plug 1/2 season tickets at the end of the match. Who want to buy one after seeing todays game???
  13. To use the old cliche we were lucky to the get nil today :008: Spineless performance from us. Out fought and out competed for most balls. Midfield posted missing in action. Plan A was too lump it up the park. Plan B - well there wasn't one. Dreadful dreadful passing. Wrong subs made by the manager but the players need to shoulder most of the blame A side devoid of ideas and inspiration. Struggling to come up with 3 players I can vote for today :007:
  14. I'm sure some folk will take issue with this but I think CC has it 100% right AMBITION FOR THE SEASON
  15. Looks like a big change of heart from Golly :006: Golly Offski??
  16. How to keep Skippy quiet? Leak various rumours to press that Wolves want to sign him :023:
  17. Stats must be wrong on here then. Definitely says 6 yellow cards for Dargo for league games in the squad list section :024: Hopefully Zander will get a game on Saturday though. He would provide more of an attacking option for a game we should be aiming to win
  18. Dargo has had 6 Yellow cards already this season. I'm guessing he'll be suspended for the Dundee United game?
  19. Well he has been out injured for quite a while :006: That was his first start in the 1st team for many, many weeks
  20. I haven't heard CC comments today but I was less than impressed with Hearts. They looked like a team in disarray. Hartley , who like him or not, is a good player just seemed to be going through the motions today and they semed liek a shadow of the side they were last season
  21. Some much needed changes made by Charlie today although I'm not sure he got them all right. I think the call to replace Bayne with Wyness was a good one. Bayne although a trier will never be a prolific goal scorer or creater of goals. Although in saying that I must admit Bayne for once was rather effective coming on for a 15 minute cameo at the end. Rankin who as yet hasn't set the heather on fire must feel a bit hard done by to be dropped whilst the invisible man that is Roy Mcbain keeps his place. He offers nothing in attack or defence yet week in week out he's in the team. Even more galling is the fact that Black gets taken off today (albeit perhaps to stop him getting sent off) and Hart gets brought on wide left so that McBain can move into the middle!! What is the point in that. I'm no fan of Hart but he isn't a left winger!! So November has brought us 2 points in 12. There were folk on here expecting us to have 7 or 8 points lets hope they have had a bit of a reality check We MUST beat Motherwell - simple as?? Is Dargo suspended for that game or Dundee United??
  22. Dire first half, marked improvement in the second though. Unlucky not to get the 3 points but then again maybe a draw was the fairer result. Somehow managed to miss Black & Dargo getting booked. Thats Dargo suspended now isn't it?? Think the Mother well game is a MUST win match
  23. I agree that Hart did well against Falkirk but when were his other 'match winning appearances' ?? The only games I remember him playing in that we've won in the league are the Falkirk game, when he came on against Rangers with 2 minutes to go and against Dunfermline when he was subbed by your other favourite Jinky Sutherland and THEN we won the game!! To be fair though I think Zander could be a cracking wee player and I'd like to see him given more of a chance - the wide left position is a REAL problem for us just now
  24. :015: What a load of crap!! Pardon my French. Would you rather have Hart's 2 yellow cards instead of Rankins 2 goals?? Your choice of username perhaps sums up what little you know :016:
  25. More often than not those free kicks ended up in row Z!! He does indeed have a powerful shot but 2 or 3 goals a season is a poor return even in the 1st division. He's had plenty of 1st team starts and not cemented a place in the team. Wasn't at the Killie game to know if he made a difference but as he doesn't even make it into the match day squad these days you have to assume CC doesn't feel he can contribute to the first team
