Campbell showed flashes of potential - we shall have to wait and see if he's done enough. Hastings had to be my MOTM closely followed by Keogh. Thought Black was rather anonymous today though

Can't agree with you there. Thought Rankin was OK, certainly worked hard and provided the killer ball for Bayne only for him to bottle it. There were poorer display's on show. Not sure who you are going to replace Wyness upfront with either. I actually thought our man of the first half was McBain and you won't hear me say that often!! I thought him and Duncan played really well

With our current squad 3-5-1 would seem to be the best formation for us. We will however play 4-4-2 The more I think about it the more I suspect/fear Rankin will be made to play wide left with Duncan in Central midfield. I reckon we may well line up against St Mirren like this (assuming Rossco is fit) Brown Tokely - Dods - Munro - Hastings Wilson - Black - Duncan - Rankin Dargo - Wyness

Well Rankin can't play against County so I'm guessing he'll play for most of the testimonial Interesting to hear Parrat had another good game - I thought he played well against Clach

I would think Rory is our 3rd choice striker as well purely because he is Under-21

Assuming the squad stays as is and we are injury free what would your preferred starting line up be? I'd go for: Brown Tokely - Dods - Munro - Hastings Wilson - Keogh - Rankin - Morgan Dargo - Wyness

I imagine Zander Sutherland and Stuart Soane have been added to the first team squad as you have to have 2 Under 21 players on match day. Can't see them figuring much. Still think we need another striker as well

He isn't Under-19 anymore Don't we have a smaller squad than last year anyway?? We've lost Brew, Finnegan, Juanjo & Ben Jackson and Wyness & Rankin have arrived

Don't see anything to worry about myself. We haven't really played 'higher class' opponents in our previous 2 pre-seasons in the SPL. I'm sure County will give us a hard game as well

Why would we get rid of Parrat if Rossco is an injury doubt & Proctor likely to move to United?? Thought Campbell was OK but nothing to set the heather on fire of course thats only one outing and wingers do tend to blow hot and cold. He is tiny though and not super quick. Decent control though but his crosses were a bit iffy. Still if he's offered a contract thats fair enough - the more options we have the better. There were some players on display today though I worry about though.
