  1. Could we have an Elvis II on our hands, I wonder?
  2. Bye bye Livvy....
  3. Yompa replied to Guzz's topic in Caley Thistle
    I'm in...
  4. I was just watching these poor bustuds on the telly doing their London Marathon under the watchful eye of Sally Gunnell et al. Now if those folk bought a tear to your eye, consider for a moment that your average HMer is doing a marathon a day for week... while yer average Yompa is doing three marathons on day one and another couple on day two. That's why we want y'all to dig deep into yer pockets to support the HM, the MFR Charity and Team ICT! 8)
  5. So yow think an MP3 player's going to drown out the racket that we make.... ?
  6. Be assured that the littlies will be all tooled up and waiting in the woods....
  7. Am I fook! I'm acting as a consultant to would-be HMers... I'll walk the bit through the woods from Slochd mind... ambush territory!
  8. How about a mass participation first leg next Sunday? Walk the 26 miles from Sneck to Carrbridge then get the train back (there are trains at 5:03pm and 9:03pm...). It would make for a grand day out and remember... the Tomatin Inn's en route!
  9. I will be represented by ITN Jnr.... Can I suggest that all blokes wear black ties (over their ICT shirts) as a mark of disrespect. :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah:

Have you tried looking on the Black Isle? According to the bloke on the wireless, it was a bit windy by all accounts...

What's this about penalties... we lost 1-0 mate!
  12. If you do decide to go to the game, you have two choices... phone up the supporters' bus number and book yourself a seat on it. You'll need to quote your supporters club membership number, which is 3140. Your alternative is to take the six hour train trip back to Irvine and study over the holiday weekend. Of course if you do the latter, you'll miss the girlies....
  13. Jnr, you realise that if you walk the whole of the first day (with the girlies ), you'll make sergeant!
  14. 11th April:
  15. It occurred to me that with HM4 fast approaching, I should clarify who's who within the regiment. Ther are two battalions, Gringo and Yompa, and troops are ranked by experience. Within the battalions, there are infantry and transport. Officer status is achieved by collecting HM miles... :P In order to keep things simple, completing any leg of an HM qualifies a marcher for half an HM The ranks are then based on half and full HMs: Previous HMs.....Rank 0= Private 0.5= Corporal 1= Sergeant 1.5= Staff Sergeant 2 or 2.5= Lieutenant 3 or 3.5= Captain 4 or 4.5= Major 5 or 5.5= Colonel 6 or more= Brigadier The full regiment, in order of rank, going into HM4 is Captain Yompa Captain Gringo Junior Lieutenant Gringo Lieutenant Dozza Lieutenant Col Staff Sergeant Caley Canary Staff Sergeant Froin Sergeant Bee Sergeant Mrs Bee Sergeant Brew XI Corporal Bronson Corporal Elvis Corporal Shennachie Corporal Seoras Corporal Radio Caroline Corporal ITN Junior Corporal Caleyceutical Corporal Uncle Mike Corporal Uncle Albert By the time we get to Dunfermline, the above list will hopefully be updated to include Major Yompa, Major Gringo Junior, Captain Gringo, Lieutenant Caley Canary, Sergeant EGG, Sergeant Beatonio and Sergeant Caley D. It is rumoured that the regiment may also include Corporal Lauraness and Corporal CCC but we'll see who turns up on the Sunday morning... 8am start from TCS, remember girls!
  16. You are correct. I just hope Dunfermline don't bottle it... I have a nasty feeling Livvy'll get something from this game, leaving ICT to do the decent thing for all concerned and sink the bestards next week! :D

Crikey, I'd forgotten Ky's pal.. just shows how pished we were... (well me anyway)... Aye, that was the first time I met Moth Boy and BMillsy. Don't remember there being three Burnley lads though. Were yow seeing double, Roger?
  18. I predict that Brown will get his big chance on the Scotland trip to Japan (while Gordon's on Cup Final duty), in which case his profile will be even more in the public eys.
  19. Oops, yow's right... 18 points it should be. Yow, by the way, is Brummie for you. It's a disease that brought on by listening to Gringow for too long. As far as the yow and me thing goes, I thought it would be fun to throw it open so everyone could have a birra fun. I'll still beat yow mind...
  20. I've long suspected that HMS Tart shot its load too early...
  21. After a brief discussion with ITN Jnr (offspring of the recently departed member for Stewarton East ), I'd like to offer/promote/organise etc a splendid new game for the 2006/07 season... and no, it won't take up much of your time... in fact once the season's underway, it'll take up none at all because once the season's started, all yow've got to do is wait for the points to start rolling in. Let me explain... All yow've got to do is predict the final order of the English Premiership from top to bottom (and don't give me that anti-English nonsense... I know y'all watch MOTD and Sky). If a team finishes in exactly the position you predict (eg Chelski 1st), then yow'll score 20 points for that team. However for every position above or below yow prediction, yow'll lose a point. So suppose yow predict that Chelski will win the league and they go and finish 3rd, yow'll only score 18 points for Chelski. Gorrit? It's as simple as fook and I'll publish the league table every week so yow can see how yow's doing. If yow'd like to play, post yer interest on 'ere and let's see how many we get...
  22. I'm a bit surprised that Vladimir Romanovski didn't win Chairman of the Year, Manager Sacker of the Year, Johnny Foreigner Purchaser of the Year and Submarine Commander of the Year. In fact, what really surprises me is that he didn't award the fvcking prizes....
  23. I'm fvcking chuffed to bits that AS are back in the league. I was only 32 when they got chucked out (the bottom four of the old Fourth Division had to re-apply for election in those days but it always went through on the nod... until Accrington). The club then folded after one further season in the Lancashire Combination but in 1968, a bunch of die hards re-invented the team and they've spent the last 38 years progressing their way back up the minor leagues. Thye didn't even get into the Conference until three years ago so all credit to them. Now... whatever happened to Gateshead...?
  24. Yompa replied to Yompa's topic in Caley Thistle
Nope... but here's a hint... Think Burnley...

Yes, it was indeed very sad when ITN passed away.... But not to worry, his soul lives on So... to your answers: Ky drove his taxi, Seoras, GJ and ITN were in the motor with a large carry-out (replenished, I might add, by an emergency stop in Musselburgh) but I don't recall seeing the Summer Wine crew there, even though it was virtually a home game for the paralyticmedic. The Fly.. aye he was there. Drove up from the smoke I seem to recall.
