  1. What do you mean consider him, you were telling us they were down at the Belfry interviewing him
  2. I have heard that both he and Knox are the only 2 that have been interviewed thus far
  3. Its not that good Smee Newcastle signed Lovenkrands :018: Fook.....just when things are looking up. Is it not only till the end of the season tho Stevie? Why is it my teams are in turmoil? Yes just until the end of the season
  4. Its not that good Smee Newcastle signed Lovenkrands :018:
  5. No, a waste of a wage and better to let the lad go and see if he make a go of it somewhere else
  6. What I find a bit strange is that this time there seems to be so many serious candidates, yet when Brew was taken back it seemed it was only him and Warnock,
  7. I suppose thats why you were making false allegations about his private life earlier this week then
  8. Well as usual your info is wrong, Robbo doing open mics and Frail and Scott??? doing commentary
  9. Garbage Robbo is going to the game as he is working for the BBC, if you are going to continue to have a go at someone at least get your facts right
  10. I don't think archie knox being prodominantly an assistant manager would be much of a stumbling block. Working with Fergie in the past could only be a good thing, and clearly fergie thought highly of him. :018: So did Steve MacLaren
  11. I would imagine he would be on a very healthy salary at Villa
  12. Popescu :thumb04: Steve, just thought I'd pluck a silly name out of the air like other people seem to do. Couldn't be *rsed finding the tongue in cheek though. Yes thought that might have been the case Alex, but thought there might have been a rumour as he is over in the UK on Holiday at moment.
  13. Popescu :thumb04:
  14. Totally agree with this opinion! Why so negative of what could be a great opportunity for ICT. I know for a fact that the players were run into the ground by CB and other aspects of their game was neglected as a result. Its not that we dont have talent in the team, we most definitly do but it has to be nurtured and utilised by an experienced tactician and lover of beatiful football if we are going to benefit from watching their skill in action each week and not just on the odd occasion. As for the number of clubs he's managed I would say that was a plus especially when you learn of the reasons why he moved on from them! He is experienced and has lead other teams out of relegation what makes managing ICT be different! New start new blood! ok new start I can understand where you are coming from, 14 jobs and and 14 sackings I fail to see how you can support that, this is a stage of getting stuck in and get out of it, not 5 forwards and lets go for it .
  15. Alex I am afraid I have to agree with you again, I think he had a great football brain as a player (like him or as many did hate him) Celtic missed him greatly when he left as a player, and if he can take that into managment he will do well. Not right for us or him at this time but who knows in the future.
  16. Yes watching it tonight without commentary I thought they were through on the away goal rule, should be very proud Mr Coyle and has a future in the management game, nearly outfoxed the fox that is Rednapp tonight
  17. just a touch of realism from a long standing supporter who first watched caley 40 years ago. honest appraisal is more important than blind loyalty and the emotional hysteria of the percieved wonder days of robbo. I may not be quite as old as you but I watched Caley 35 years ago................................but only cos they were playing Thistle. Nowadays I like to be realistic and optimistic about Caledonian Thistle and there is more than enough quality there, with the right leadership, to stay up. Alex my allegiances were the opposite of yours, but now my beliefs are the same, no going to be easy but get the right leader in place and we will stay up A ggod run like st midden had a month ago and we will be looking at it differently
  18. 8 I thought it was closer to 14, great guy and a real legend , can he save us I doubt it, does he really want it I doubt it , probably his agent and him putting him in shop window again
  19. If Robbo came back you may be surprised
  20. No idea, application put in thats as far as I know, after that its between him and the club
  21. you seen his application have ya? if(a mega big if) ossie got the job,i wonder who he would get as a assistant??and would john doc+garden stay on? as usually new coaches bring in a compelte back room staff http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t..._ct/7842208.stm Watch this and it tells you that actually he has put in an application along with saying it would be a wonderful opportunity and he said that he would want to bring in people who know about the SPL as his backroom staff so i hope that answers all of your questions. Look beyond the big name, 14 jobs and 14 sackings
  22. Wish I was as sure as you, I still dont think its going to happen You may be right but Ardiles and Butcher were both great players but neither have been very successful managers - this time I think John Robertson would be around for a lot longer than the first time if given the opportunity and would turn ICT back into a club again that people would want to go and see and feel proud to support.... The ground swell I believe is with him so it will be an interesting choice if the board go else where....and the explanatin should be interesting if they bother to give one.... Wouldnt be holding my breath on that one :thumb04:
  23. I could be well of the mark but I think CC has more chance
  24. Wish I was as sure as you, I still dont think its going to happen
  25. I think it does make sense, whoever takes over now has a difficult, although not impossible job. Things have been to late to change but we have to remember that whoever comes in is going to have to work with Brews recent signings etc, although they might turn out to be fine.
