Why would you be offended and why is he an idiot ? He's not an idiot for joining a protest against something he believes in and he certainly didn't set out to offend anyone by his actions or belief's. He may have been a bit silly to take his flag to a football match. But not an idiot. If he is then everyone on this site who expressed demonstrative comments, and calls for action, against Craig brewster is also an idiot. Everyone, around the world, who stands up for their beliefs must also be idiots. The debate about the tricolour and Union flag is a bit different though. Those flags have been used to represent the two Glasgow teams ever since their formation and so have become a part of the culture that is the twins of evil. People may be offended by them but no law says one can't display them. Howdens would probably want me kicked out of the ground if I were to walk in with this flag but what the hell. Doesn't make me an idiot. No Alex it would make you a legend :thumb04: :018:
  2. Never heard that but apparantly Dinning is being given another weeks trial. Just got the name, Izzy Iriekpen just released from Scunthorpe, not confirmed that he has signed but the info I was given suggested he was today
  3. I have heard we have signed another centre half from England today (no name as yet) is it my imagination or are we not getting a bit top heavy in the defensive department
  4. One thing for sure is that the team is going to be a very different one that started the season. I am a bit worried that Brew can take in so many players and get them to blend together so quickly, mind you he couldnt get ones that have been playing together for years to blend so he might do better with a new lot :thumb04:
  5. You'd need one that will hit 30 a season unless the defence gets sorted. We were always pretty solid at the back and we won games because we could shut the opposition out and nick goals here and there. We can still score goals, but our defence is rotten now. Get the defence sorted and we will get back up the table a bit. Certainly would get us out of trouble. Look at the teams around us, all of them have poor defences at the moment. I am fairly sure that we have brought in all the players of a defensive nature that we are going to, so hopefully the new additions will take care of that. It doesnt matter if we like it or not we are in a relegation battle and thats when we need experienced players and we dont have that up front, not only to score goals but to hold the ball up and link the play with midfield, some of the stikers we have may have the potential to do this but its going to be a real battle down there and its asking to much for players of their experience to do it alone. This is a big problem as I am sure the club realise we need this but it aint easy to find one.
  6. Rory has had more chances than most. He's almost 22 now. He was punted from Aberdeen because of his attitude to his career. Got the opportunity here and just didn't take it. I was one of those who tried defending him when others were slating him but one can only argue for so long. He could be a great player but until he wakes up and realises he has to work for that then he'll not get any more chances. I think that you have hit the nail on the head, from what I have heard Rory does have talent but he thinks in his own head he is the finished article which he is some way off, perhaps if he got a manager that could sort this out he will see the promise that he has shine through, if not I think he will be making his living in the lower divisions

I think that in this instance the club have got it spot on, all the signings are a major gamble and with the likes of Byrne and the Hibs duo they didnt exactly set the heather on fire at their last club, thats not to say they cant be a big success at ICT but lets have a good look at them before tying them down to long contracts, and even if a month or so down the line and they are looking the part the club could then go back to them then with longer term deals.
  8. I think with Brews constant changing up front it is clear that even he knows we dont have the answer up front and need somebody with a bit more experience.
  9. Elliot couldn't come to Inverness unless he got special dispensation from FIFA and then permission from the SFA as he's already played for 2 clubs this season. 2 clubs were in the same country - I believe that is OK. anyhow - coming of the 3-0 win, I reckon we keep the team same as it was on Saturday with the exception of maybe swapping Rooney for Barrowman. Black is a judgement call. I dont think he will be here by the end of the week, but if he is then do we play him or not. McBain and Duncan have been good in the last couple of games so would we want to slot him in in place of one of these two ... perhaps not. Maybe also with the exception of Zabi also
  10. Yes thought it might be that but IHE said "either parties" and I thought it was common knowledge to all that ICT received the transfer fee from Dinamo
  11. No its not a secret, yes it is with FIFA in fact the first court hearing is this coming week. But not sure what you mean about no monies going to either party?
  12. M4tj I would agree with that I think we are lucky with our 2 keepers Mikey is young and will only get better.
  13. I am sure I seen it somewhere that Esson was carrying a slight knock from the previous week
  14. I heard the same although not that he was out the door just about the bust up, heard he also had big bust up with Duncan yesterday as well

No WriteOnCaley -, people on this forum would only be less inclined to slate me if I subscribed to the unrepresentative views of the lynch mob. You have stated your point repeatedly, we have heard it. Now get behind the club you supposedly support and stop rejoicing in every bad result. Bavidge, I do agree with you to a point. While I dont think Brew is the right man to manage the club the fact is it isnt going to change for a while (at least I dont think so). His signings looked promising yesterday and hopefully will continue with that form next week. Me, I am just going to get behind the team, I have made my point that I dont think he is the right man but I hope I am wrong.
  16. It also dispells the myth that we can only get players from across the bridge.
  17. Yes I think that would have been the record yesterday, we might even manage to put together our all time top foreign team made from players past and present now!
  18. I can assure you it is nothing to do with Hagi as the club have no links with him I thought Hagi and his mate Popesue (or something like that) were ICT's Easter European scouts. No they never were , Popescu has a football academy in Romania which is generally considered the best in Eastern Europe. He offered ICT a tie up with that where they would get the pick of his best young players free of charge, the club had 2 appointments to go across to discuss this with him further but for whatever reason didnt turn up on each occasion so the whole thing died. Hagi was never invloved I think his name just came up as he is Popescus brother in Law If that is true, then ICT are utter fools. And I was always under the impression that Niculae was a product of the Popescu/Hagi scouting thing. Maybe not then. No Niculae was not a tie up from that link and yes it is true, Popescus reasoning was it would be good for the young lads, come to a club like ICT where they have a chance to get into the first team and Inverness would have been a plce where they wouldnt have the distractions of a bigger city.

  20. I dont think there was ever going to be a big crowd today due to weather etc. Sounds like all the debutants did well and perhaps the most important thing today is that the team will have gained some confidence before nexts weeks biggy

MFTJ while I respect your opinion and your banner I will never believe he is the man to lead our club, or will his signings get us out of this ffs look at what he did at United , when do we we accept the board look at their position, when we are relegated I admire your allegaince but I dont have it
