  1. The way I saw it was the childs eating disorder pushing an already unstable woman over the edge. Too easy to always blame the parents, the school and social services wathed this happen too. You don't know how you are going to cope with children until you become a parent, this women has been needing help for a while.
  2. My apologies Alex, I thought you were taking the P, so I reciprocated. Your point was well made and probably true, if not to Iraq then either Iran or Afghanistan. However we have strayed of topic, and I have to say that i'm delighted to witness the furious back pedalling by our elected numptys on the subject of road pricing. The only road pricing I want to see is our elected numptys pricing the upgrade for the A96 and the A9 and saying "yes we will pay for that". Sod the central belt.
  3. Your'e right Alex, much better that more Yanks get killed rather than our boys.
  4. Just received my reply from Tony Blair, quite lengthy but I can offer a short version. We intend shafting you anyway but with an election coming up we have decided to say that we are only looking at proposals, however first chance we get we will get it right up ya. And anyway that will be Gordons problem. Briefly! My governement do not care about anything above Watford, where rural communities have no alternative to the car, that is your own fault for living above the Watford gap. No decent rail or bus service, tough, you can just pay the charge. And by the way, we know who you are and where you are. Have a nice day! :001:
  5. Try the Ayrshire and Galloway hotel in Burns Statue Square, right across from Rabbies bar. If you dare! :011: Can I nominate IHE for post of the year? Priceless :015: :015: :015:
  6. Don't listen to him, if you see lots of cars thats a car park....if you see lots of planes, thats an airport! :016:
  7. Will his war cry will be " c'mon eilean"
  8. I sense you may be right Obi Wan.
  9. We have beaten everyone apart from Aberqueen, and their time is coming, we are an SPL team, but with a lower division attitude. Time a lot of posters, potential supporters and the board, grasped this fact and got their feckin acts together. "Build it and they will come"...my erse. Build it, promote it, market it, grow it, encourage it, make IcTfc happen, don't screw it, then they will come. If they can afford it! :023:
  10. I'm doing my damndest NOT to picture it! :cry04:
  11. April 30th, 2031, should be a full house, ticket prices raised accordingly! :003:
  12. " Glean as much as possible" ? Well done Charles, that sums it up ( :023: ) perfectly! The club should be putting more effort into gaining supporters, not solely revenue. The end result would be the same but with bigger crowds!
  13. A park and walk is being arranged from the stadium for commuters, I wonder if the club will be involved in some form. This would be an ideal opportunity for the club to raise it's profile locally, maybe getting the players involved in walking with the commuters?
  14. Best memory?.....standing there, arm round my brother, singing " cheerio, cheerio, cheerio" to the departing ticks. One of the best nights of my life. :021:
  15. RiG, a clear e-mail from the club? That I'd like to see :015:
  16. This game might be a good earner for the club, but it is turning into a PR disaster with regard to regular supporters. I love ICTFC but we are an SPL team now, not a lower division side who regards a meeting with the old firm as an "event", it's time we started acting like one. In all the years I've supported the club there has always been this confusion about ticket allocation for " big " games. It's time the club reflected the growth of the team. P*ssing of your season ticket holders is not a good move. Who is in charge of PR and marketing at the stadium? Tommy?
  17. I didn't think Catholics were allowed interesting experiences! :015:
  18. Well said DJS, but I would take that a bit further. 1. Provisional at 18. 2. P plates until passed either Pass Plus or similiar. ( MIDAS car etc. ) 3. Limit engine size to 1000cc until passed above. 4. Limit P plate drivers to one passenger. 5. Improve public transport so young kids in rural areas don't have to get a car asap. 6. More mobile speed cameras to catch the idiots who speed and threaten all of our lives as well as their own. All of these ideas could be implemented at short notice, and would have an immediate impact on the amount of young drivers being killed on our roads.
  19. This game suits the occasional football fan who never attends a regular saturday fixture and can therefore afford the ticket price, to them it is just a day out to see Celtic, it hurts the fan who attends whenever possible but cannot afford the extra expense. There is a very fine line between being a greedy club who rips the punters off at every opportunity, and a club who try to generate maximum revenue whilst encouraging local support. Or is there? CaleyD has a point, there is a middle ground, I just don't see the club attempting to find it. Just to clarify something. There are families and individuals in Inverness who would love to go to ICTFC games....... they just cannot afford it. It is financially out of their reach and no-one at the club seems to be addressing this. I would despair if there was an attitude at the club similar to some of the posters on this site, " if you don't have the dough, you don't get to go!"
