  1. Lubomir Blaha, played for Aberdeen in 2005 - Macedonian.
  2. Paul Ifill, played in Tokely's testimonial - Barbados.
  3. Canadian, Austrian, Irish, Welsh, Norwegian, Danish, Romanian, USSR, French, Spanish, Latvian, Portuguese...Xausa, Piermayr, Foran, Jones, Andersen, Fetai, Niculae, Baltacha, Gillet, Juanjo, Mihadjuks, Morais....oh and Polish, Malkowski
  4. Esson Meekings, Williams, Tokely, Gillet Hayes, Tudur-Jones, Tansey, Ross Mckay, Foran Subs: Tuffey, Piermayr, G Shinnie, Gnakpa, Tade, Sutherland, Winnall
  5. Never underestimate the power of a strong bench, Tudur Jones and Mckay changed that game for us. Those lads have both steaked a claim for a start next week. We were all over the Pars first half, defended soundly, controlled midfield but Terry's brain dead idea of playing 2 wingers up front was an absolute sham. They got in each others way, they overran passes, they underhit passes, there was no communication and against the run of play Dunfermline exploited our lack of clinical finishing by scoring right on half time....well done Proc for heading it back into the path of Cardle . We struggled to keep our heads in the second half, ball was getting given away cheaply and we continued to look non existent. Proctor nearly drove me to tears when he let that ball run under his feet and had it not been for Esson it wouldve been 2. As said the 2 subs came on, helped with the goal and after that we looked like we could push on for a winner. Dont want to give Gnakpa a hard time, only his 2nd start and yet again he was out of position. He is a winger - end of, hasnt got the strenght or the work rate to be a target man. Also Tokely or Williams have to go in for Proctor next week, it was easily his worst performance of the season. Foran was outstanding today, grafted and created from both midfield and attack and also worth noting that he appeared to keep a cool head when things were difficult and was prepared to admit a couple of mistakes he made in the game, keep it up Richie. Tudur Jones deserves a mention too, he came on and almost instantly our midfield and overall play had more urgency about it. Terry reckons he could be a key player for us in the run in, if he stays fit that is almost a certainty. Satisfied with the point given the performance but we probably couldve taken 3 points today had we played better. Changes need to be made for next week, especially up front, so looking to at it with much anticipation.
  6. His goal against Sunderland in the FA cup was something special, did you see that?
  7. He's probably the best success story weve ever had, im sure Don Cowie will continue to prosper as well but Robson has certainly had most successful career out of players weve seen move on.
  8. Diving is cheating, end of. Dont care if we go 3 years without a penalty.
  9. Esson Meekings, Tokely, Gillet, G Shinnie Tansey, Foran Hayes, Winnall, Gnakpa Tade
  10. Having watched the way we lined up im really starting to get annoyed at no striker getting played up front. No goals in 3 games says it all. We had Sutherland and Winnall both in the squad, today. Sutherland got shoved on the wing and Winnall remained on the bench. We're not going to get goals without a striker. Gnakpa was frustrating to watch. Seemed to keen to play difficult passes and was really wasteful with a chance at the back post. Had no chance of scoring and had 2 or 3 players in the box but just blasted it at the side netting. Shouldnt complain too much. Celtic are on a run and had to graft for that result, a style of football they struggled to cope with last season. Can see them winning the league comfortably. Thought the Majstorovic red was a harsh decision but to all you Celtic fans seething at the decision i have one word for you - karma. Gutted that Willams is suspended ahead of the Pars game but will just have to live with it.
  11. No Tade?
  12. Actually Gringo, they have improved their stewarding since we came back to the SPL. We've played there 3 times since promotion. 6-0 loss in League cup - they let us stand the whole game and not a peep from them. 2-2 draw in league. Made everyone sit down in first half but then left us to it in the second half. 2-0 earlier in season. Didn't ask anyone to sit down and again treated well. As a matter of fact, there were a couple of bigoted comments shouted from some ICT 'fans' that the police / stewards heard. One police officer had a quiet word and warned that arrests will be made if repeated. Actually, IMO he should have arrested in the first place and the police showed great leniancy. So, they are by for not the worst stewards in the league so don't let that put you off! I've probably tempted fate now and we'll be told to sit this Saturday! 2-2? are you kidding? at least 5 people were chucked out, including me, for 'making other people stand up' The place is a joke As I said, they made people sit down in first half but were fine in second half. 3 games, 270 minutes of football, 45 that they were bad. Compare to teams like St J stewards and Aberdeen, then that's not a bad stewarding ratio. Game to fans chucked out ratio Then Aberdeen wins hands down must of chucked 10-20 people out last season +1 given his own section because he was under 16 at the time (who could that have been?) win for me I got to sit down and watch bathe game in peace what an enthrawling experience that was St mirren are up there aswell Such fond memories.
  13. If your referring to an ICT side i cant either but if your referring to overall i remember the Liverpool team that won the Champions League in 05 was a very depleted squad for much of the season.
  14. Wont happen.
  15. I know we have made alot of progress since Christmas but i cant help but wonder what things wouldve been like had most of our squad stayed fit. Feels like so much more progress has been halted with our players dropping like flies.

    STRIKERS!

I wish he would start playing the strikers up front though. For the last 2 games in the latter stages of them he has played a midfielder in the centre forward role. It was Nick and against St Mirren and it was Jonny against Celtic. Despite the fact he had Winnall and Sutherland on the pitch at some point they were both dropped back into midfield and Tade is still being punted onto the wing where he is less effective - this needs to change, theyre strikers so play them up front.
  17. Wow, its amazing how one bad result (against the best team in Scotland just now) has people talking like its the end of the world. All the talk in the papers was about how we were gonna do it and this was our time to shine against Celtic but you know what? I think it was a load of bull. We lined up with 5 at the back against them, spent most of the game playing hoof ball towards Tade and latterly Jonny which was mind baffling and there seemed to be lack of desire to win or even try to win this game. Tade and Jonny were both hooked fairly early which almost never happens as well. Celtic didnt have to work very hard and were gifted their goals with some iconic defending yes but how can people say Tokely should be punted at the end of the season based on that alone? Apart from his error on saturday he has been one of our best defenders throughout the season and has had to fill in 2 or 3 different positions and i fully expect him to bounce back from his dodgy performance. Terry's tactics were a little confusing for me. Jonny as centre forward in the 2nd half? Do you really expect him to compete with Wilson and Rogne in the air? And at a time when 2 other strikers were on the pitch, wasted in midfield. I was bitterly dissapointed with what i saw but lets face it after the start we had to the season the league should be priority (even if our next game is against Celtic ). So come on lads we know your capable of bouncing back. Step to it.

    Transfer Activity

Hibs are trying to buy their way out of trouble, that could really swing either way. I must admit Craig Brown has pulled off some pretty decent additions, Mark Reynolds is a great capture, Stephen Hughes could be if he stays fit and Gavin Rae has been impressive for Dundee so far this season. Overall im satisfied with our activity, made some money, strenghtened what needed strengthening and our squad looks the better of it. Looking forward to the run in...
  19. The 6 ft 5 centre half that got balled at br Mikey Fraser all game? he was a classic. Thierry Gathuessi played once for us i think and after that never again, wasnt a great player for us or Hibs.
  20. Marius Niculae. May not have scored enough and may have tryed to sue us but it cant be denied that he was a talent. Had great ability and vision and most of his goals were pretty decent. Juanjo was great up till he got injured, dont think he can be discredited. Lionel Djebi-Zadi, Fetai, Vetle Andersen, Zibi Malkowski, Blumenshtein. Just some names of the foreign duds you could mention.
  21. Esson Meekings, Williams, Tokely, Gillet Foran, Tansey Gnakpa, Ross, Hayes Tade Subs: Tuffey, Piermayr, Doran, Winnall, Sutherland
  22. Celtic struggled a little bit against Falkirk today. The key to this will be keeping Stokes and Hooper quiet for most of the game. They were the danger men today and they were the danger men last time we played them up here. Hoping Williams will be back and Gnakpa gets a start. With a bit of luck and the traditional Caley cup magic theres always a chance we could pull it off c'mon lads!
  23. 7 games unbeaten and 3 clean sheets. Really pleased with our recent form but we shouldve won today. Gnakpa endeared himself today with some great runs and a lovely shot that proved to almost be the winner when it hit the post. Cant have to many complaints. We didnt really look like scoring but at the same time we never really looked like losing the game. Tade and Ross also spurned some great opportunities to put us ahead. Hoping Williams will be back next week and wouldnt mind seeing Gnakpa get a start. Bring on the Celts.
  24. Papers seem divided on the opinion over the nature of this transfer. Is he on loan or is he on a contract till the end of the season?
  25. Our club doctor deserves player of the year, the amount overtime he's been working this season. Hope Williams is back for the Celtic game, he's needed.
