Pleased with this news. Im hoping its not just Richie who has been offered a 2 year deal. With the changes made the first thing we need is continuity in the playing squad and im hoping that with Foran agreeing to stay on it will encourage a few more to follow suit.

Jonny Hayes and Ryan Esson were deemed not good enough for League One - just 2 examples.

His BBC comments include him saying he has been watching Gnakpa for a long time so maybe his comments werent as tongue in cheek as we thought.

Todays Press and Journal suggesting the agreed fee is closer to £50k, all down to terms and whether Lee wants to move down I would like to see him stay, greatly improved player Given the fact we have alot of midfielders anyway and the fact Lee is getting a move fairly close to home i'd say it's a good deal all round. 50k is not a bad deal for a player with only 6 months remaining on his contract. Presently the only fit central midfielders we have are Foran,Ross,Tansey and Cox. If Cox were to leave then it wouldnt leave us with much options given that OTJ is still out and Morrison doesnt appear to be in the managers thoughts If Lee has his heart set on moving back down South then id certainly take £50k but from a purely footballing perspective i'd like to see Cox stay and sign another deal and continue to improve In all honesty i would like him to stay as well. He is still only 22 and imo not quite the finished article.

Lee Cox is about to be sold for a small fee. Could that be where that money is heading?

Davide Xausa.

Hope we get him. Seen him play on Sky a few times, always thought he looked decent.

Wonder in being made Vice-Captain is a incentive to signing a new deal. I would imagine if he stays he could eventually become captain.

A striker with a track record . Hoping this guy does the buisness and looking forward to seeing him in action.

He's had a great spell here. If he hadnt been injured at the start of the season he would probably still be in the team. If he does go then good luck to him.

Esson Meekings, Tokely, Williams, Gillet Foran, Tansey Hayes, Ross, Tade Sutherland Subs: Tuffey, Piermayr, G Shinnie, Morrison, Doran, McKay, Proctor

Rooney, Cowie, Robson, Rankin, Mihadjuks. Would maybe even consider Morais, though he is prone to ditching clubs.

Zibi Gathuessi, Aldred, McGuire, Djebi-Zadi Blumenshtein, Stratford, Duff, Fetai Barrowman, Prunty

Out of the new boys Tansey and Tade are the two that i think are defnitely worth a new deal. Gillet, Foran, Cox, Esson, Hayes and Tuffey i would aim to keep from the current squad as well. Wouldnt say no to Piermayr either and would hope that Hogg and OT Jones are given another chance to break into the team after their injury problems. For the sake of experience and continuity it may be worth retaining Tokely for another season. Unsure about Billy McKay apart from the game at Ibrox i think we have struggled to accommodate him in the side. Proctor is surplus to requirements. If Piermayr is retained then that gives us him, Meekings who i think should be first choice with Cox and Tokely capable of being there in a state of emergency. Proctor hasnt played much this season and with the Hearts game being an acception he has done little to impress. In the case of loan signings i dont know what Golobart's situation is but if he's out of contract would it be worthwhile trying to get him back?

Terminating the contract is possible, pretty sure thats what Owain did before he came here.

Thought he had a good debut as well. Going up against the firepower Hearts have would always have been tricky and i thought towards the end when we were hanging on he did really well. Didnt mess about, just kept it simple. Seems like the kind of defender weve needed for a while.

Templeton is a little cheat, he tryed it against us at Tynecastle and he tryed it today and fortunately for us on both occasions we had referees who were observant enough to notice. Very petty side to his game.

The best performance we have had at home this season by far. Hearts showed very little for their recent form and we were considerably better for the majority of the game. Butcher wrang the changes but they were totally justified. Meekings and Gillet were immense, Williams slotted in well and had an accomplished first start. Agreed with whats been said, Tansey and Foran dominated the midfield today, tackled, grafted and created for the team. I was gutted when we lost Davis 2 weeks ago but i have to say he really wasnt missed today. Was suprised to see Shane in the starting line up but thought he gave a solid shift, looked a little rusty but i hope he gets more games, imo he could become a great player for us if he was just given a longer run in the team and a goal today will go a long way to making his case. Our back four deserve some credit, 2012 seems to have brought about a change of luck for us so far defensively. But despite it being a make shift defence today there was a real togetherness and unity that i havent really seen this season and the fact we have taken maximum points consecutively off 3rd and 4th in the SPL while also shutting them out can only emphasise the strides we are making as a team. Josh Meekings for me seems to get better with every game he plays. He was up against tricky opposition today in Templeton and Skacel but neither of them got the full measure of him today and in the end i think were made to look rather average. I really hope Meekings manages to stay fit now. When he plays our defence is better, simple as that, he also has a willingness to get forward and good distribution of the ball. He may only be 19 but i think he could become an integral part of this ICT side. Its been a good start to the New Year as im sure many hope and perdicted, i just hope it carries on. The more these results keep coming then it will be a case of looking up as opposed to looking down, keep up the good work lads.

One example could be when Falkirk gained the edge over us in Cup competition.

Must admit i expected a poor game upon arrival last night and got one. We were awful in the first half. We were too slow getting forward and when we did we dithered the ball about at the edge of the box before eventually losing it. Dunfermline probably deserved to be in front at half time and had it not been for Tuffey it would probably have been worse. Andy Shinnie made a terrfic impact in the second half, space just seemed to open up more for us and chances were beginning to develope. However i dont think anybody could have anticipated the nature of our equaliser. I thought the one at TCS was funny but the one last night was hilarious, between Keddie, Rutkiewicz and Smith they managed to give Jonny an even easier goal than the first to level it up. A Shinnie nearly added another but a Smith pulled off a great save to keep it level. Dont know what Hayes and Foran were arguing over but was not a nice sight to see them going at it as furiously as they were, glad they patched it up though. Butcher brought on Ross at just the right time imo. Extra time was looming and McKay did next to nothing during the game and Ross looked dangerous when he came on and after A Shinnie's rasper to put us in front, Ross provided a great piece of skill to skip past his man and set up Tansey who took it brilliantly first time. After that Tuffey pulled off another great save from a looping header to hold the 2 goal advantage. Ultimately i think we deserved this one. Whatever was said at half time worked and the subs made proved to be a real turning point. Special mentions for Tuffey and Golobart. Like Smith, Tuffey's confidence wouldve been fragile but unlike his counterpart Tuffey had a great game. Made some excellent saves and showed some terrific handling. Golobart was solid throughout and the tackle he made on Thomson towards the end was nothing short of brilliant, was gutted to see him going off and only hope his injury is not serious, we dont need to lose him too. Andy Shinnie deserves a mention too. I cant remember the last time i saw a sub come on and make such an immiediate and lasting impact on the game. Think its time for him to go back into the starting 11. Bring on the Celtic!

Just noticed that Mark Kerr is available. Training with Kilmarnock but they dont have the budget to sign him. Might he be the sort of midfielder we need to replace Davis? Experienced, composed, fairly solid. Even if its just till the end of the season or something think he could add some much needed experience to our squad.

Can only say whats been said. I fully expect him to leave after this season but i only hope its to a better club than us. Somewhere like Dundee Utd would be very short sighted. Wouldve thought he would want to move back to England.

Esson Piermayr, *Tokely, Golobart, G Shinnie Foran, Cox Hayes, *A Shinnie, Doran Tade Subs: Tuffey, Meekings, Ross, Tansey, McKay If Tokely isnt fit then put Meekings in, if A Shinnie isnt fit then id play Tansey in the advanced role.
