Drums have been fitted out with a couple of new skins and given a quick lick of paint on the worst parts to tidy them up a bit. There's also a couple of new sets of sticks there for you. All that's asked in return is that you make good use of them this evening.
  2. Glad I'm not the one having to make the call for this. Every "fair play" bone in my body says Tuffey should be allowed to continue his cup success, but it's hard to see beyond the fact that Esson has been performing week in week out and would be the safer/sensible option.

Eh? Who's paying for it? there chairman Athol Cadger made his millions in oil So did Jenna Jameson....I wonder if they know each other!!!
  4. Not Lennon. He'll think he's looking in a mirror. Is that because hes an erse hole Or maybe a whole erse?

My oldman was of a Thistle persuasion prior to the merger and has never set foot inside TCS. Whilst that came about from the merger, it has nothing to do with any anti-Caley sentiment and more to do with the fact that he despised the idea of his team becoming owned by a small number of people based on how big their wallets were instead of it being owned by the fans (now you know where I get it from). I guess you could say he follows from afar as he genuinely wants to see ICT do well, he even places their success above that of his "big" team (Hearts)....but you'll never see him at a game. I wouldn't class him as a refusenik as you don't hear him grumble about the merger or try and turn people against ICT....it's just not for him anymore.
  6. We've arranged for IHE to sit next to Lennon in the stands, he's going to draw him in with is Celtic Tattoo and then ask if he wishes to see his other football tattoo. When the unsuspecting Lennon agrees he'll be subjected to the infamous Immortal Howden Rear-Ender. That should be enough to send him (anyone) over the edge.
  7. Since I read the refusenik thread
  8. That's got to be some of the strangest logic I've heard on here in a while.

Wow....just done a quick count on the poll voting and it seems the merger could have cost us as many as 7100 fans who now refuse to attend games!!! If we split the clubs again and operated a system where Caley played one week and Thistle the next, do you think we could win them all back?

Hope you're not out of pocket Georgios.
  11. I'd like to see them do it* to prove even more how farcical the whole situation has been. Whilst I accept that they stripped back their squad a fair bit, the players they kept were amongst the highest earners and even during administration they were paying out more than the business could sustain. They've effectively continued to spend beyond their means to remain competitive and the points deduction, transfer embargo and administration has done nothing to stop it. *(in reality, I actually want to see Pars promoted, always enjoyed the visits there)

Part of the problem with covers is that they can only be used for a few hours before they actually start doing damage too the grass itself...go out and lay a sheet over your lawn for a day and you'll see what happens. The problem is made worse when USH is also in use at the same time (you damage roots and blades at same time), and then add in the playing of a match on top of already weakened/damaged grass and the pitch is on a hiding to nothing and won't maintain it's condition for very long. What you actually need is a cover which sits up off the surface of the pitch and allows the grass to continue breathing. A quick google search brings up the name "Macleod Covers" and they look to be a very simple setup. Basically a cover stretched over the pitch with an inflatable tunnel running down the middle to hold it up off the surface. The material seems to be some kind of parachute type material...I'm guessing that because it's raised and sloped it doesn't need to be 100% waterproof as rain will run off and not seep through. Not sure how much the above would cost, but standard "lay on" pitch covers look to be in the ?25k to ?30k and upwards range.

Last time I mentioned this to someone at the club I got the impression that hell would freeze over before Tommy would allow covers anywhere near the pitch. Something to do with the fact that that any more than a few hours and they actually start to cause damage and the problem is exasperated when the USH is in use.
  16. Bah Humbug to you
  17. I wasn't suggesting he had found his level, merely pointing out that just because he's done well at Brechin, it doesn't immediately mean he's "come on leaps and bounds". Rory was talked about very positively by a lot of people in the game when he was with us...especially among visiting coaches and mangers at reserve games, so hearing people sing his praises is nothing new for me. I have nothing against the lad, and would be happy enough to see him succeed at a higher level. I just don't think it would be a justifiable risk to bring him back having had him here before and knowing that whilst he can perform at that level, he couldn't/wasn't doing it at a higher level. Of course, that's all just "armchair manager" opinion, and for all I know Butcher could have an eye on him and be planning to make him an offer....you never know. Wouldn't be the end of the world.

Probably about the only thing we ever agree on Charles...heck, I think I'll even give you a green dot.
  19. 15 starts and 47 sub appearances to prove he had what it takes to cut it at SPL level and he failed. Can't see where you get the idea that his departure was a hasty one either, he was with us for 4 years!!! Not condoning any abuse, but it's hardly surprising that fans didn't rate him when you look at the facts. Or it could be argued that he's simply found his level!!!
  20. Celtic and the Ref are already in Inverness....so this situation could well arise.
  21. Watched him deliver numerous top performances and bag plenty of goals for the reserves, but despite the ample opportunity he got in the first team he rarely managed to emulate it. Glad to see him doing well, but saw nothing from him while he was here to suggest he can cut it at SPL level and wouldn't be in any hurry to have him tying up a wage here again.
  22. If it was safe for us to travel in the conditions shown in the linked video, then I don't see any problem arising from road conditions for Sunday..... http://ictfc.com/video/viewvideo/86/miscellaneous/12-hour-journey (sign-in/registration required)

Choices of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 would have been more than sufficient.

Very much doubt you'll get programmes dating back to 2000 & 2003 via anyone at the club.....your best bet is finding a fan willing to part with their copy. For more recent programmes (this season) then try the shop as any spare programmes end up in there - Tel: 01463 227451 E.Mail: [email protected]
  25. Damn.....spoke too soon
