Would he want another contract with things as they are? As passionate as he may be for ICT it is, IMO, an insult to the guy that he's being made to sit on the bench every week when he is more than capable of being out there doing a job for us on the pitch and if I were him then I'd be looking to go somewhere that I would at least be getting a fair crack of the whip.
  2. Give it a few more weeks of what we've seen of late and it might just be that.

I know that was TiC....but on a serious note, I want any problems/issues that exist at the club to be sorted out just as much as the next person. I just fear that turning up at the gates with pitchforks and shouting and hurling abuse isn't going to get us anywhere and will just force the club back into the boardroom instead of them coming out and talking with us. Let's give it a chance, then if it doesn't work that way and there's no sign of anyone listening, then you can be sure that I'll be right up there at the front when it comes to leading a march on the stadium.
  4. I know a lot of people are angry. Not only with Saturdays result, but because they feel that our performances haven't been what they should have for quite some time and because some feel that problems exist all over the place at the club which are dragging us down. This thread isn't to argue about any of that or to give my view, it is simply to ask that we all take a little time to think about what we've just typed before we press the "Post" button. A few posts in the last day or so have crossed the line from criticism into abuse. We don't allow users on this forum to go around name calling and being mindlessly abusive to each other and I think it only right that those same principals are applied when it comes to discussion about those involved at the club. Most people are making genuine and reasonable points, but they are then losing them among the F'ing and Blinding and Name Calling. If I was the club and I was reading these forums then I'd find it easy to dismiss a lot of peoples opinions simply because of the manner they are being put across. So, if you want to increase your chances of someone actually paying attention, then let's try and keep the language in check....you can get a point across just as forcefully and pationately without resorting to vulgarities. Thanks

Pele at Aberdeen - 7 Defeats in a row at end of season. Brewster at Utd - A run of 6 losses and 2 draws. Fate sealed by a 5-1 loss to Falkirk. CC before he resigned - 3 losses at start of season. Alex Rae at Dundee - A run of 6 losses and 2 draws. Whatsisname at Spurs - 4 Losses and a draw. Robertson at Hearts - 6 losses and 2 draws at end of season.
  6. He says, just before putting Proctor in his line-up as a forward player
  7. Can we afford not to? There's certain people involved with ICT who are quick to get the wallet out and splash the cash when they want to prove they are the big "I am" - The same ones who were responsible for Brewsters return. Let's see now if they are so quick to get the wallet out when it comes to clearing up the mess they have created!!!
  8. From what I've been told Brewster only has a contract in place till the end of this season.

I would never claim to be a football expert, but I am no stranger to management...in sport or business and I like to think that I know a thing or two about motivation and using it to unlock true potential. Until Brewster can claim to be getting the best from the players then the job of improving performances lies with him. Once He's getting the best, he we still aren't getting anywhere then we can start talking about which players are good enough and which are not.

Wouldn't disagree with any of that, and there's a certain argument which says that replacing Brewster may not make any difference until other things are sorted out further up the chain as we're never going to appoint anything but a "yes man" under the current regime. If anyone has a spare ?1 Million, then I have a plan.
  11. I tried phoning in but never got on. For me they were concentrating too much on scorelines and not enough on the performances of late and I wanted to make that point. I also wanted to pick up on the point Traynor made about Brewster possibly viewing a move to Dundee Utd as career progression and point out that if this was the case then should it be assumed that he saw ICT as a step backwards once it had gone t!ts up there.

I actually think we have a fairly decent squad in all. We could argue back and forth all day long about whether or not they are "SPL Standard", but that will get us nowhere. The problem as I see it is that players, and combinations of players are not being properly utilised and as a result some individual performances are suffering, or weaknesses that never existed before are being created. Rossco is a good example of this. He's not doing anything different now than he's done for many years with ICT...so why all of a sudden are people jumping on him? Don't get me wrong, I don't think he's the most gifted of players, but we've always managed to make best use of his strengths. The reason he's being shown up this year is because of changes elsewhere on the pitch. In the past when he pushed forward we had Barry tracking back to cover for him or Mann/Dods/Munro coming out wide to fill the gap....nobody is taking that responsibility now and holes are being left. It doesn't matter if, individually the players are "SPL Quality" or not, or if on paper we are as strong/weak as 8 or 9 other teams in the league. That's never been the strength behind this club...not ever. It was the ability of the manager to take the players and put them together in such a way that they become better than the sum of their parts, to instil in them a belief that if they all pulled together then it matter not what their weaknesses were because someone always had their back and to show them that if they went out there, gave it everything and executed the plan then it didn't matter what the final score was, they were always going to be winners and could hold their heads high. Something is rapidly snuffing that out at ICT, we're seeing players that have all but sweat blood for ICT over the years losing heart, we're seeing players we know are more than capable having far too many off days, we're seeing guys who would chase every ball giving up just that little bit sooner. They can't all be at fault, and something must be causing it. Some might disagree about the cause, but they surely can't deny that there's serious issues need addressing. So I would ask them what they think those issues are and why they think they can see them but the majority of others see them a whole lot different? If a manager is not capable of getting the best from the players then he is in the wrong job or he's at the wrong club. We don't have the luxury of being able to change the entire squad to suit a manager, and that only leaves one alternative solution in my book.
  13. A couple of games aside, the way we've been playing so far this season, a total thrashing was on the cards and it could have come from anywhere, it just so happens it was today against one of the OF, but unless there's changes, then I wouldn't bet against it happening again against someone else.
  14. Was 5-0 defeat at Parkhead last September with Brewster at the helm. Yeah....am kinda thinking that a PotY poll for today may be a waste of time And to add insult to injury Rangers are now throwing on their kids to play against us!!!
  15. The commentator can't work out the formation, he isn't the only one............. I think I worked it out.......it's a 9-0-1 formation
  16. There's a stroke of genius from Brewster....nothing to lose, should be changing the formation and he makes 2 like for like subs. Take that back....we've gone 3 at the back, 6 across the middle and one up front!!!!
  17. I've already been checking the rulebook. No rule that says a game can be abandoned because one team is totally p*sh.
  18. Brewster already holds the record then, and is merely looking to top it
  19. Was a time when I might have believed we were capable of lifting ourselves and salvaging something from a situation like this, but I'm afraid I have no faith that Brewster can raise the lads at half-time and do anything to change the onslaught.
  20. I'll take 10-0 if it brings about some much needed change at the club. Better now than when there's no time for us to take positive corrective action.
  21. Please....can someone come round and hide all the sharp objects in my house?
  22. What is Fraser on? Just about screwed it up again and not at all looking like a guy who's having a mare!!!!
  23. Was that the floodgates that just opened?
  24. Whoever that was who stepped off the left hand end of the wall created the gap for Boyd to shoot through in the first instance, it was then a bad spill by Fraser.
  25. I think it's a lottery up front at the moment, and with a 4-5-1 then it matters not who we start with, we just need to give them some proper service and not resort to just lumping it long to them and hoping for the best.
