  1. Oh how lovely.... But seriously Steve Paterson would've signed Barrowman. Maybe he also would've been his "bumboy"...

I think I read somewhere that he was on Real Betis's books at one time.
  3. And you know this how? He was always played the wrong way, and had he been played differently things may have been different.
  4. Again I think the 4-2-3-1 has run it's course and ICT should back to 4-4-2 for the final push in the season - Esson Tokely Bulvitis Munro Golabek Odhiambo Cox Duncan Hayes Rooney Foran Subs - Allison, Sanchez, Proctor, McBain, Djebi-Zadi
  5. It isn't that amazing, I've gone with a straight 4-4-2 for the last couple of weeks now and will do it again for the next one.
  6. True, but there's seems to a few players in the current squad that are seen as untouchable. Rooney's one, Tokely's another, along with Butcher.
  7. Aye, he did well scoring under that pressure today, but in truth the game should of been wrapped for ICT a long time before that.
  8. In some respects I'm disappointed to see him go. You have to look at the facts here. At County in Division 2, he was played often with two other strikers alongside him and given the support he needed. He was also played as a poacher in a Kris Boyd, Filippo Inzagi kind of role. Over the course of a couple of months, Brew had him playing in a league that was two higher than he had been in, up front on his own, as a target man with long balls being punted at him at every given opportunity. The reason he "failed" here was because he was played the wrong way, with too much expectation put on his shoulders.
  9. Maybe that was the case. I don't necessarily think he's a bad player, just not always as effective as he could be. And the weekly wrath of the forum rears it's ugly head again. Seems to be the way these days, someone disagrees with someone else's view and then the point scoring begins. Such lovely behaviour.

A lot of the time he can be quite good but I wasn't as impressed today. Felt his passing and stuff was quite as good as it normally is.
  11. First of all ICT didn't win today - he saved Butcher's blushes with what was probably his first shot on target snatching a draw. What I meant is that his penalty did nothing in my eyes to give his overall performance any boost. 99% of the time today he just wandered around the front area, either missing the or two chances he did have (and unsurprisingly missing) or doing nothing at all. Sorry if I can't agree with your amazing and holier than thou view, I just comment honestly on what I saw.
  12. That result saved Butcher's blushes today. In some senses ICT deserved to win, whilst at the same time both deserved to be beat. Let's me start by saying that at times ICT were woeful. How Ayr (who were nothing special at all) got three goals is a complete mystery. Of ICT, Golabek was good, Munro looked solid and Hayes was effective. Foran tried hard, whilst Duncan was decent at times. Tokely had a rather up and down game, whilst not being able to pass to save his life, did look better going forward. Proctor was fairly quiet. Of the rest, Sanchez wasn't at the races at all, Esson looked a little dodgy at times, whilst Bulvitis was okay in the first half, was a bit clumsy in the second. And then there's Rooney. No doubt some dimwit will justify giving him the MOTM today as he scored a penalty, but in truth, the guy does nothing. He just wanders around aimlessly up front, whilst having the pace of a snail. I don't care if he scored today, he was very poor. The ref was a complete tube as well. My favourite moment of his was in the second half when ICT had a free kick just over the half way line. Not happy with where the ball was, he lightly passed it about a foot backwards. Really, what was the point? ICT second half approach was what they should have done all game. ICT were very good at creating the chances but seem to struggle with the knowledge of how to put them away. ICT really lack the cutting edge up front that left with Dargo. That and some sloppy defending, is what will probably cost ICT promotion this year.
  13. Sorry but they ain't a patch on Busted and S Club whatever it was with them wee kids.

  15. I can honestly say that I have never heard any 'gloating' about '67. Maybe reminiscing, but no gloating. And taking your point, Celtic should then harp on about '67 before every champions league game, which simply doesn't happen. Maybe if you frequent the Celtic forums. I know England games are less regular than the CL, and that comparing Celtic in the CL and England in the WC is impossible, but I just don't hear a peep about '67 before any CL games. Maybe I switch off from it. For me, and you can take this as racist or a tad prejudiced, the English media/fans are a more arrogant breed than the Scotland fans. The fans should probably expect more, they do have a decent team, but the Scotland fans believe more in the occasion rather than the end result. I'd say a lot of it comes down to how big and infrequent the World Cup is, but also because England has a much larger support and far larger media platform but I have heard gloating from all those aforementioned groups. Let them have their fun and get on with your own life, but unfortunately when it comes to some people when it comes to England that's just too much to ask.
  16. I wouldn't worry about that, studies have shown than children of that age often start with a more radical view point and grow in to sanity as they get older.
  17. I don't necessarily think it is expected of Scots, more that most of these programmes are made in England, mainly by English people for what is mainly an English audience. I think the difference with that though is that the area known as "Ross-shire" or "Ross County" if you like is not a country. It might look like a foreign country, stuck in the dark ages like it is, but amazingly it isn't.
  18. I'm a good part English and I personally don't find the whole thing racist at all - just at times a little sad. I agree with one of the posts above, we Scots are a rather petty and backwards bunch at times and whilst it is true that the English media do go on a bit about '66, how often do you hear Scots gloating about the events of '67? Whether in retaliation or not, quite a bit. It's also the same with other teams. How often do you hear ICT fans go on about the events of Tuesday 8th February 2000? A heck of a lot. England just have a bigger media platform and a larger fanbase, to bring up the World Cup win. And who can blame them? If Scotland won the World Cup, we'd never hear the end of that either.

:( Really? He's been poor at best for about the last six years.
  20. And if they hadn't said this, people would have been queing up on this forum to slate the club for no ambition. I seriously wonder why some posters on this forum support ICT. If they fail to do as they themselves said they would, and seemed so confident of doing they have failed on their own terms. And thanks for the last bit, I'm sorry we all can't have the same happy clapper opinion as you.
  21. That's the Genoa strip isn't it?? It's similar to their design but they have a different make I think.
  22. Back on topic, was the case dropped by the FA?
  23. How many other 1st Division managers are on ?100,000 a year? And Maurice must be on a fair wage too.
  24. I see you need to be over 16 to enter the Mars Bars site. What's all that about?!
