If Ict Go Down (merged)
:( :P :D B) :) :( i dont like marathons, and i go to college (well, i say go  ) yes i love my emotians Oh the irony in your misspelling of illiterate. I am posting lots largely due to anxiety about the weekend, and I feel this is a place where I can share that with other Caley fans; surely that is the forum's purpose?! Also, I am at the end of my second last year of University. Stop being a tw*t, we were ersing about and do not ACTUALLy want you banned... Dear oh dear, when you thought it couldn't get any worse... it does, and some are taking my comments personally! But what I mean by ultra-reactionary, is that it seems that if one player has a bad game, some posters seem to go so nuts that they can only see one side and act almost like the aforementioned player should be shot. By the way, what was the name of the topic that was closed? I'm dying to know.

Team Fer Bairns
Who'd have thought the day would come that Renegade would actually pick a team I'd completely agree with (apart from the captain).. shocker well played that man, I just hope Butcher agrees Well I'll tell you why I went for Rosscoe as captain. The reason being that this is the game where Munro will have to be (like the other players) , the best he can without being sidetracked by captaincy issues. Also he's never really shown any leadership qualitites to me at all (although none of the ICT players really show much of it to be honest).

If Ict Go Down (merged)
Your posts are shocking pal. You a county fan or something? :024: Funnily enough, I was contemplating a prolonged posting hiatus to begin at the end of the season (mainly due to the fact that this once excellent forum seems to have been hijacked by marathon-posting, ultra-reactrionary, smiley loving, illitarate schoolchildren) but I don't think I will now.

If Ict Go Down (merged)
IF ICT get relegated on Saturday, who do you think stay at ICT and who will go? For me - Fraser - Away anyway Tokely - Stay Djebi-Zadi - Stay Proctor - Stay McGuire - Go (hopefully) McBain - Stay (may go if ICT stay up) Morais - Go Black - Away anyway Rooney - Go Barrowman - Go Imrie - Go Duncan - Stay (but hopefully does) Munro - Stay Hastings - Stay Zander - Go (to a smaller team) Mihadjuks - Go Gathuessi - Go (Though might be alright in the First Division) Byrne - Go (Though like Gathuessi, might be alright in the First Division) Gillespie - God knows Wood - Stay Esson - Go (Could be away anyway) Duff - Stay Foran - Go Odhiambo - Go Vigurs - Go Kerr - Not sure McNulty - God knows, who cares.

haha no but we can still win win 8 players, let along 10 ------------------------------------------ ESSON ---------------------------------------------- ---- PROCTOR ----------- TOKELY ---------------- MUNRO --------------- DJEBI-ZADI ---- ----------------------------------------- MCGUIRE --------------------------------------------- ------ KERR -------------- BLACK ----------------- MCBAIN -----------------IMRIE --------- ----------------------------------------- MORAIS ----------------------------------------------- MCGUIRE CAN BE REPLACED WITH PAVELS REGARDING INJURY STATUS* Happy now Mr R  No not really, a 4-1-4-1 is not the formation to go with for this game, , once again you take a somewhat reactionary view in Lionel's inclusion, you don't start with Foran but you do play McGuire who is to put in bluntly, dreadful. McBain usually does nowt everytime he plays, Morais up-front alone is not the way to go and Brian Kerr aint a right winger, he's a central-midfield player. If Butcher goes with that formation it'll simply be bye bye SPL. well not changing it at all When i tried 4-1-4-1 on a friendly match on Fifa 09, (same players) it worked brillantly. Managing a big club is like playing fifa :lol02:  I didn't realise that the Fifa game was exactly like real life! And anyway I went with 1-2-7 in football manager once as England. Scored a shedload of goals but I wouldn't do it in real life.

Lionel
Exactly right. Lionel has something a lot of others don't. Speed, crossing, passing, strength, height,. Imagine if you let him run at the opposing full backs for 90 minutes, he would cause them nowt but trouble and unless the full back can run like the wind, if he gets past them he won't be caught. Also sticking him at left wing would mean that he wouldn't get caught out of position when the opposition team attack. Now chances are the right full back for Falkirk on Saturday will be Lee Bullen, who if I remeber correctly from the last time I saw him play is rather slow. Do you go with Lionel at left wing to get countless attacks down the wings, and also cutting Bullen off in the process? I don't know if that's the right thing to do in a game of this magnitude, but I'm almost certain that it would work.

Quote Of The Season
What do you mean? Of course it was my own idea, but then again smart minds do think a like.

Ryan Esson
I seem to recollect a while back, that one of the players said that the then trialist Dining I think was very loud, much louder than the second loudest in the dressing room Esson. Something to do with that perhaps?

Playing For Managers Future
I don't understand this. Butcher has said in the press that Malpas is responsible for tactics and that his own role is more public relations. So I put it to you that Malpas is the genius behind our revival!! I'll take that with a large pinch of salt cause if that were completely true then Malpas would've succeeded at being manager of Motherwell and Swindon, both of which were managerial disasters.

Printing On My Caley Top
Why would you want a name printed on a Caley top? They disappeared years ago.

Team Fer Bairns
Here's one thing though, Flakirk need to win while ICT only have to draw. Do you go with a 5-3-2 or something to contain a team that'll probably go all-out-attack and try and nick a goal, or do you go and try to out and out win. It's a sticky wicket.

Killie Report
I don't think it's Barrowman's fault, there isn't the right distribution at him at all. That's one thing about ICT supporters, they're always out to blame someone.
-
T-shirts
Why don't people try and make player banners like some other teams have. Tokely, Lionel, Imrie ones etc.
-
Operation Falkirk
For me the worst thing of all about going down would be looking on here and people saying "When we were in the SPL..." or "He'd definately come to us if we were still an SPL side" etc. Doesn't bear thinking about.
-
Headed Goals
If my backline was - Tokely - Mihadjuks - Munro - Djebi-Zadi , I'd be sending them all up with Munro hanging back to get the best amount of chances from headers.
-
Operation Falkirk
I hope the next time there is a competitive Highland Derby, it'll be in the SPL.
