We broke the wage structure once before with Niculae and I remember there being constant rumours about dressing room unrest. Ofere was a good player. Would I have welcomed him back? Yes. Do I wish he was still in our team? Yes. Would I bring him back if the price was miles more than he was worth? No.

The chance of a Highland Derby match in the semi is now a very real possibility. Would it really be played at Hampden? Say we took 3,000 and County much the same, would the SFA really want to have a 6,000 attendance match in a 50,000 seat stadium? Surely a move to McDiarmid Park or Pittodrie would be far better, though I presume they wouldn't want all that traffic going along the A96. Maybe they should use Grant Street like they did for the Inverness Cup in the mid-90s!

I'm beginning to think, with Alex Fisher's injury and no other striker brought in (despite a reported desire for one), not retaining Tobi Sho-Silva even after he'd expressed a desire to stay will turn out to be the wrong move. He never really was given enough of a chance IMO.

I'd have thought with so much emphasis on underage drinking these days and the recent alleged rowdy behaviour, CJT would look to appear to show that's it's board often attend far more classy establishments than dives like Dows. I was thinking more of the Castle Street Restaurant or even So Coco!

We all know how important Tansey is to Yogi's style. Jim Spence hinted on Twitter last night about a manager threatening to leave if an unnamed player was sold. Was it Yogi he was referring to and hence why the board managed to keep Tansey by using semantics?

Or has he? The Courier are suggesting it's not a done deal yet. Bizarre that there's been no announcement, even on Twitter from the club on these/this new signing. They're quick trying to flog mugs and engage in other 'banter' though....

Just goes to show, no matter what the story is, CJT's deafening silence could well have repercussions in the long run.

I don't know what went on which led to these folks being banned, but what I do know is that CJT, justifiably or not have created an absolute furore. Now I'm a member of CJT, as are around 800 other ICT fans and all I want to know is what has happened and why? They were very quick to get on their high horse over the pyro stuff yet on this, their silence is deafening. As member, we should expect clarity. Is that too much to ask?

Inverness Courier reporting we've signed former Brentford, Chester City, Colwyn Bay, Rhyl, Morecombe and Llandudno midfielder Ryan Williams until the end of the season. He's seemingly regarded as a free kick specialist and has been capped internationally for England.......in futsal!

What is the truth then?

I was always under the impression these clauses were put in to stop other clubs coming. Ie - if a club wants player X they'll have to pay over the odds. We seem to be doing it the wrong way round...

Rumours abound Aberdeen are about to sign Greg Tansey after triggering a £200,000 release cause in his contract.

He'd be a good signing, but I wonder if, should we have to pay his wages, he'd be somewhat out of our budget.

Being reported that we have Cambridge 6"4 attacking midfielder Liam Hughes on trial (who played 160 times for Cambridge and is still only 23) along with former Spurs youth product Colombian striker Victor Zapata on trial. The Courier are also saying that Ofere will not be returning.

It's terrible really. Gary Warren played in every cup game in that campaign apart from the final and was an integral part of the side and doesn't get a medal, yet Tarmo Kink who only played about 10 minutes against Raith, gets a winner's medal and then buggers off. Doesn't seem right.

I'm sure Hughes suggested in the pre-season that his budget was cut from last season. I would an educated guess that it is.
