I'm quite surprised he's gone to Partick actually. I'd have thought Colchester would be offer to far more in wages than them and us.

To be fair to Willie Miller if you listen to the programme, he actually comes into defend ICT. It was during a discussion about youth academies and he highlighted that financial constraints meant for us, establishing such an establishment is very difficult. Granted he might not have quite correct in what he was saying, but those looking at this as some sort of attack on ICT on his part are incorrect.

Maybe just as well. The last few times we've played Forres I've wondered why bother. We were lucky to come away unscathed, considering what a dirty side they were, especially given it was only a friendly.

When are we going to get some confirmation about who's being retained? I'd have liked to have seen Roberts give another season. He definitely had ability and was one of the few players we've had over the last few years who looked so dangerous from range. Has it been confirmed yet by the way that Ferguson has gone?

I see Lee Cox is out of contract with Stevenage. I certainly wouldn't be disappointed to see him return, provided Ryan Williams doesn't sign on again. Could cover at right back as well.

Had a look at the Barrow forum to see what they were saying and they were heralding this as a brilliant signing. They're going to be soooo disappointed!

Had a look on the Newport forum to see what they said about him but they all seem more concerned about going on about how poor the SPL (sic) is. Zzzzzz.

The Daily Express is reporting that we're interested in Newport striker Scott Boden. 13 goals in 45 game for them while seems to have had a good return at Macclesfield (21 in 40). Apparently he also came through Sheffield United's youth set-up. Whether it's true or not, it certainly seems like the type of person we'd go for.

I see Ben Greenhalgh has moved to Maidstone for the third time, his second spell with them since leaving us.

From what I can see Riordan is still contracted to York. How do you propose we sign him? You don't seriously think we spend money on him? Why don't we sign his former strike partner Garry O'Conner as well then if we're judging players ability on what they did a decade ago.

How can Derek Riordan have two good seasons left at this level when hasn't had a good season in five years? He might have been a brilliant footballer once but that was long ago. He hasn't played regularly since 2011 and hasn't made more than 11 appearances for a club since. That includes failed spells at Alloa, St Johnstone and a team in China (before it became awash with cash), as well as the fact he's currently at York and done nothing whatsoever. He was also offered a trial at Morton and didn't turn up. A waste of a career and certainly not someone we should look to sign.

Well we won't be signing Steven Lawless. He's just signed a new deal at Partick. Looks like we've missed out on Tafazolli as well as it looks like he's going to be offered a deal by Peterborough, who I'm sure can offer far more money than we can.

I must say, I'm slightly disappointed he's retired as a player. Even registering himself for cover/emergencies surely wouldn't be a bad idea.

Heard on the grapevine recently that Roberts and Mutombo have been offered new deals. No idea how true that is though.

Has it been confirmed yet that Mutombo and Roberts have left the building? The only players talked about in the press left that I can think of who have yet to sign deals on the table are Vigurs and Devine.
