The cup game is immaterial to our league position. Swings and roundabouts? Rubbish. That would we true had the ones we'd scored late on and the ones we'd conceded evened up. They don't.

Discarding the Roberts one as that's a cup competition. Going by that table we've gained.....three points! Two again Hamilton and one against Dundee United. I'm not counting Hearts because we were winning the game anyway. Well those goals we scored in the last minutes have really made up for the ones we've lost...

Raven has been one of the first names on the teamsheet since he signed and is undoubtedly one of the most solid, reliable players in the squad. He was offered a deal last season (very late as I recall) and was only offered a year despite saying he wanted it to be longer. This season he's says again he wants a new deal yet seemingly has yet to be offered anything and referred was very scathing of the negotiations that took place last year. To me it sounds like things behind the scenes are in no way fine and dandy.
  5. Surely some of their U17 squad could be drafted in at least to make up the numbers. Seems a bit pathetic to be honest.
  6. Someone on STV saying that they understand that the game will be called off. CONFIRMED - Game OFF.
  7. Surely for the league split to be enacted all the teams must've played the same amount of games (unless there is a game scheduled with both teams already guaranteed to finish in either half). What if the game is called off and ICT win on Saturday with results going our way meaning that we would've finished in the top six? Theoretically we could consigned to the bottom six having played less games than everyone else. It has the potential to be a complete mess.
  8. This Raven saga is starting to remind me of when Butcher started attempting to freeze out Munro, Duncan and later Tokely. He might not be flamboyant, but a more solid, reliable, steady full back at this level you'll have trouble finding. The fact he's come out asking for a deal in the press and is still yet to get one gives me the impression that he finds Yogi someone he doesn't want to or finds difficult to speak to, something that could well give credence to the rumours that Yogi's man management isn't the best.
  9. Where we were the young team today and why have our nets changed colour?
  10. He's just been named the manager of Colwyn Bay! Also I see Prince Rajcomar has left Maastricht and signed for Romanian side ACS Poli Timisoara. They play in Liga I alongside Astra Giurgiu and Gregory Tade's Steaua Bucharest. Kerrea Gilbert joined St Albans City in 2015 but left after after they gained promotion to the Conference South. He hasn't had a club since and is now studying to be a personal trainer. Adriano Pellegrino left Perth Glory in 2011 (after being strongly linked with Celtic and had a trial with Motherwell) and joined fellow A League side Central Coast Mariners. Since then he's had spells in Malaysia with Kendah, Cambodia with Phnom Penh Crown and in Thailand with Udon Thani. He recently signed for the American side Tulsa Roughnecks, who also had Taylor Morgan on their books who came on against us for Falkirk in the cup final! Earlier in the thread the former Man United striker Phil Marsh was mentioned who was on trial for us in 2007. Since his last mention he's left Guiesley (after loan spells at Barrow and Stalybridge Celtic) and had spells at Salford City, Ashton United and Welsh second tier side Cefn Druids. Looks like he's without a club after leaving them last year. He's had 14 clubs in his career and is still only 29!
  11. I searched him yesterday and the results I found seem to show that he's an ex-Hibs youth.
  12. I like John Hughes and there's no doubt after the success last season, this one was always going to be difficult and made even more so by some dreadful injuries and some bad luck (some of our own doing though I will grant). There have been times though of late I've wondered if his heart's really in it anymore. It's quite worrying to see this type of dialogue, whether it be subliminal pot shots at the board, or players like Raven having to use the press to ask for a new deal (while also bemoaning the negotiations that took place last season). On top of that, comments on TV about standing aside when Richie Foran feels ready to take over and then of course there's the Dundee United saga, where everyone knows that he wanted to go. Is his heart really in it anymore? I'm really not sure you know.
  13. Call yourself a supporter!
  14. Daniel Stratford - formerly of DC United. He was absolutely terrible.
  15. Whatever happened to Alex Fisher? I've not heard anything about him for months!
  16. He's a right back though can fill in at centre-half. Think I'm right in saying he's more the wing-back Graeme Shinnie/Ross Tokely type of character as well, which I think we've lacked a bit this season.
  17. John Cofie has signed for AFC Telford United in the Conference North. His second club since coming on trial late last year.
  18. Decided to come up with a leaving the club/out of contract/loan ending XI with substitutes. Quite concerning how many attack-minded players we could end up losing this summer. Fon Williams Horner Devine Wedderburn Raven Mutombo Polworth Roberts Doran Fisher Storey Subs - Brill, Vincent, D.Williams, Ferguson, Brown, Hughes, R.Williams
  19. Just looking at the list of out of contract players on Narey's Toepoker there and I see Ziggy Gordon is out of contract at Accies this summer. Now chances are bigger clubs than us might be in for him, but if the chance was there I'd take him in a second. I would even go as far as to say that he's better than David Raven. Jesus Garcia Tena and Tagliapetra are also out of contract there as well and I reckon both would be decent signings for us. Both would add a bit of height to the backline and I'm sure Garcia Tena is excellent from set-pieces, along with being left footed so he would bring something a bit different. Granted, neither are as good as Meekings and Warren, but I'd say both are better than Devine.
  20. Never in a month of Sundays will Dundee be paying Danny Williams £3,000 a week!
  21. We could afford to keep Williams, though I'm told it was the length of contract that was the deal breaker for him to go to Dundee.
  22. Aye. Let's get rid of someone who, on his day, is one of the best wingers in the league and one of the most reliable and solid full backs we've ever had who also claims to want a new deal. Good thinking.
  23. Renegade replied to ForanFan's topic in Caley Thistle
Wedderburn's been a bit of a mixed bag so far. There's been games where he's been rather ineffective and others where he's been the best player on the park. The Astra away tie for example he was excellent. I'd offer him another year as I do feel there's something about him.
  24. I don't know who wrote that Scotsman article in this thread, but this idea that we built Williams into a left back is untrue. Apparently that was predominantly his position prior to him signing for us. No talk either on offering Jordan Roberts a new deal - not to the mention the fact that he seems to have fallen out of the team all of a sudden, despite playing quite well. I'd like to see him signed up long term actually as he looks to me like he could be a right good player for us.
  25. In order to aid his recovery?
